    The reason I follow this channel is you give lessons on songs I actually want to play, and then you make it easy. So glad I found it!

    I’ve been doing average at best up to this point so now I have one question and one Capt. Obvious observation. Anybody else struggling with this sequence of chord progressions because this seems tough, the observation. If someone tried, I don’t know, 25+ times to play this song, f’ing sucked at it and then threw their guitar, would you think “not everyone can play the guitar” and encourage them to maybe find something else to do? The question. Asking for a friend

    • @thetextpistols7354
      @thetextpistols7354 Před 3 lety

      Yeah, this has become an exercise, check that, exercises in futility. F’ing ridiculous but I’m trying to stay positive and consider this a learning experience. Learning something every time I try to play this damn thing. Today I learned a couple things. 1) just how quickly(the time it takes to butcher a few chords) glad turns to sad. 2) before today, I never knew that it’s easy to destroy a guitar. Don’t know why it took so many blows for Pete Townsend, Kurt Cobain and the like to destroy theirs? It’s simple really. Oh well, I’m off to the 24hr pawn shop to buy a replacement

      Done done it and did a pretty good job of it. Playing golf and playing guitar have a few mental parallels. Bad shot here, sour note there but at the end of the day, the only shots/chords you remember are the good ones.

    After I have mastered playing the chord progression, how many times do I play the chord progression? In, other words, how many verses are there? Sorry if this question sounds a bit silly.

    • @acpg
      @acpg  Před 6 lety +2

      Not silly at all. There's actually a chord chart on my site which should make things clear. I've Just added a direct link under the video. Think there are about 8 verses on the recording, but you can shorten it if you like.

      @johnleclerc8806 Před 6 lety +2

      You can print the lyrics and decide how to play through the song. If you watched some live performance vids of Wilco doing this number you'd see they play several lead breaks over the same chords. The number of measures is completely up to you.

    Great,but I have to say it might be a bit easier on us beginners if the song's were well known so we could sing along with them.
