In this video you can see how I've built floating coffee table with epoxy top.I had an idea to use acrylic glass as a main support to give that floating aperance.
The most tricky part of floating coffee table was probably how to make acrylic glass smooth and transparent on the edges.
For that I experimenting with sanding with my small orbital sander. I started with 360gr and all up to 2000gr. From 800gr up in cut circles out from sheath sanding paper to fit my 4" sander and glue them on existing old sandpaper with hook loop attachment.
    And it worked super great.
Acrylic glass I glued with transparent silicone glue.
I hope you enjoy watching and if so hit that like an share this video. It helps me grow and gives me motivation to produce more quality videos.

Recently I was contacted by cutting tools supplier if I'm interested in testing some of their blades. After some consideration I decided to give it a go and I test it in full before I posted this video.
They offer good quality sawblades at affordable prices.
They offer worldwide shipping too .
In this video i was using fine chroosut sawblade with 120 tooth.

That brings a idea. You could have made a slot below the branch and have strip of leds hidden there to bring out the branch decoration more. Its pretty simple thing to do while you are using leds anyways. Biggest problem i find with leds is need for power wire, or in case of battery lights, constant need to replace those batteries.
For the legs, i like the later ones.
To run wires on top side in construction like that, you might get away by using two peaces of acrylic, routing slots on both peaces and running silver coated wires with clear insulation for the area that can be seen and finally using acrylic glue to bind peaces together. Led light from top and bottom will make routed area more visible, but should hide the wires. If insulation is the problem visually, then just take the insulation off and run two or more wires from different channels, so there is no chance for short circuiting. To get routed slots even more visible and hide wires more, you could glue two acrylic plates together and pour colored epoxy on the routed slots.

I think the second set of feet artistically mimicked (in reverse) the curves of the table top. Excellent choice, in my opinion. Changing them from straight to curved really completed the aesthetic of the table.
And I agree with someone else's suggestion that soft LEDs shining up through the acrylic would be REALLY cool 😄

    Dear Uros,
A very original & beautifully built table using good wood contrast. I particularly like your trademark angle grinder markings into the wood as it adds some depth to the otherwise plain flat surface. You are a very creative wood artist & it shows in your work. My only criticism if I may; for the average viewer like me who seldom look at anything more than the video, it would indeed be difficult to source the blades. What you did on Instagram was a much better illustration which I feel would have done more justice to the product being used. I am glad you approve of it's cutting quality however. I look forward to seeing more projects being done using this blade as well as perhaps the little angle grinder blade if at all possible. Kind regards.

      Dear Uros,
Thank you very much for your heated response. Your work never fails to show creativity & an excellent visual appeal. This is what motivated me to contact you as I felt that perhaps my products aimed at craftsmen like you could provide the require high standard that you demand from your work. I think the slab being cut demonstrated rather well I thought( albeit a bit brief). I am sure you'll extoll their virtues better next time; I not only have faith in your work but also in your approach to what you do. Kind regards.

Beautiful. Very imaginative and unique. I liked the second set of legs and thought it would be nice if you mirrored them on top to hold the table. Much more organic. Well done!

Awesome, unique art piece for me. I think I like that final piece u put there. Very simple, yet so elegant!

Nice! Agree with the second set of feet - they fit much better overall.

What an absolutely stunning build. Personally I prefer the first set of legs as i think complements the table top but that does not able away from the second set as they are nice. I just prefer the first set. It is such a beautiful piece of furniture and shows how skill full you are at your craft.

Joe Fussey Thank you Joe. I was in the same side with first pair of legs. I wanted to have something which can go with the the top. But after I wasn't so sure. Thank you for your kind words and commenting. Best of luck.
