Man did he slaughter the dunk contest. I havn't watched the nba in over a decade and I would watch if Mac was playing because watching the little guy dunking on everyone is funny. I don't consider the nba to be too much more real than WWE.
He should be on a roster. Hurts he is to short though. I'm taller and no way I could make the league.

"Low key"?? What the hell does that even mean? What it really comes down is that he's a short white guy and the league now - as opposed to the past - is totally prejudiced against that. "Just needs to keep working"? Does that mean he has to score 45 points and average 15 assists per game? What utter bullshit. It's not that people hate Mac because he's white - it's because there is a popular and absurd perception that a 6'2" white guy has no place in the NBA. John Stockton would be playing in the G League now. It's like how football used to see it as a requirement for a quarterback to be white and not super-athletic. The great white guard (think Jerry West or Stockton or Steve Nash) - once considered the valuable quarterback and designated long-distance shooter of the team - seems passe right now. I believe you share this prejudice. The position of the Great Center has also become passe. It's not as if a great Wilt, Kareem, Russell, or Shaq-style center truly is passe. Rather, the current NBA no longer perceives them as so important. Part of it is the 3-point shot, where even centers or forwards can take them a hundred times in games. This prejudice toward old conceptions is not racist. I'm not claiming that black people hate McClung. It's a general perception now that the classic white guard is no longer valuable. Ironically, Mac is easily the most athletic "black-style" white guard in history. He's like John Stockton mixed with Michael Jordan. Vastly more talented than, say, Steve Kerr, who had a fine NBA career. Is it because they were less talented then? No - it's because the perception of NBA execs and coaches has changed.
Yes he's short and no length at all. Many shorter guys in nba have good wingspan...Donovan Mitchell being one but he's also taller and just as athletic.
Don't think nba has a problem with white players doncic jokic. Jason Williams was highly overrated and pushed...
But in general nba doesn't want short anything.
I think it's pretty silly to measure someone and then declare how good they are. Mac's superb play - excellent finisher, passer, and mid-to-long range shooter, and large variety of effective shots - are the key points, not arbitrary, shallow preconceptions. I mean, Spud Webb, Nate Robinson, or Muggsy Bogues never would've had excellent NBA careers if this mentality prevailed. Nor would John Stockton, who wasn't "long" or tall or nearly as athletic as Mac. One of Mac's greatest athletic attributes is his speed. He'd be one of the fastest players in the NBA right now. I think that's just as important, if not more so, than his leaping ability. Jason Williams was not nearly as talented as Mac and he had a pretty good career which had little to nothing to do with his skin color. Shaq loved him, and that's worth something.@@Pler1978
His problem is he’s on reserve for teams in the rebuilding process. He need to check out the wizards and then make his way to another team after he’s shown what he can do
