I think DJ would thrive under Mark Pope and the talent Pope has brought in. I think Calipari was just a bad fit for DJ. That happens sometimes and a change of coaches will help him move up and further his chances of going pro.

Got out shined by a KY boy with less playing time reed had the passion for his team and where he was playing at many games seemed as if he was only one playing D hustling not to mention his shooting and iq for the game he was only a 4 star id bet cause he was from southern KY a lot of our schools down here don't get publicized like some of the rest only time we got any publicity was when we took down some powerhouse team our school finished my senior yr like 29-8 something like that not bad and a lot of boys at my school didn't even play for the high school team cause of the coach we had a lot of good basketball players on and off the team I remember we done a fundraiser once and played the basketball team in like a pickup game and beat him by 15 points I played the thing is I never played school basketball how was the football player but I loved basketball also point being there's a lot of talent that gets overlooked when giving a chance at UK just sadens me for him would just be putting up great numbers also offense and defense I believe and yet Wagner would be outshined once again

Okay let’s be honest…. The coach wasn’t on the floor playing. As a basketball player in the position DJ was in…. You need to be a leader. It’s not like he doesn’t have skills.. What he lacks is maturing skills. He’s not as good as he thinks he is. He’s not a team player which clearly shows. It’s all about him. It seems to be a theme with theses one and done recruits. Now I like Reed but I honestly don’t believe he’s as immature as DJ. I think if he does go pro, he’s going to be bench riding a while. I really like him a ton but would hope he would stay in college somewhere a year longer. It’s really a huge jump to the NBA in everything as fans, we see it. We might not understand it because we want to see guys like Reed succeed.. but now not so much for DJ because of his attitude. Attitude goes a long way and his actions about this and his statement. Don’t think if you are a pro team you want this on your team regardless how good a guy is. Look at LeBum.. no body really wants him because he’s not the greatest of all time.
