  • We took our 24 Rubicon with 37" tires and a 3.5" lift on the trail to Black Canyon City overlook north of Phoenix for its 1st trail run. This trail, about 30 miles long, is rugged, remote and beautiful. Much of the trail is narrow and rocky with significant elevation changes and great vista views. We did not see anyone else on the trail and we had the overlook, which is the big payoff on this trail, all to ourselves. We love our new Rubicon.

Looks like a great trail. Run it South to North? Looking at OnX map....not sure how you got to it, without going on Terminator, Boulder Creek or Tip Top access rd, (which I thought was closed)??? Have a track/gpx?

@@jeep4dirt Thanks for the info. Yep, got the Wells book. But that's #37, "Black Canyon City Overlook" trail (also known as Road to Nowhere), the "Backway to Black Canyon City" is a different trail, on West side of 17 starting up by Upper Terminator, then heads North. "Overlook" is generally rated moderate, and "BackWay" is rated easier.

I renamed the video because I realized that the title can be confusing. Thank u for bringing the problem to my attention. BTW, TrailsOffroad has the trail listed as Moores Gulch, although only as a scout route.
