2008 Ford Escape 3.0L 6 Cylinder Engine
Noticed that the temperature gauge on the dash quit working, which is sensor related, so I changed the Coolant Temperature Sensor, and fixed the issue, and the orange engine light went off. I then purged the air through the radiator hose and the vehicle is running fine.
Like what you saw in the video, leave a #Like #Comment and maybe even #subscribe .. and I'll be able to help you fix your vehicle.. again, Happy New Year everybody

Has anyone checked the impedance across the 2 terminals of this sensor (I have the same one) the old one showed no impedance, but so did the new one at room temperature, Most will show .250 or so at room temp, I'm confused. Thanks for posting this video!! 👍
Is this the same for 4cyl
Did you have to drain the coolant? Or just removed the sensor with little spillage? And put the new one in ?
Well, as I replaced the connector, once it's twisted off, some fluid will spill out, but I quickly put the new connector on, and I put in the fluid that may have been lost ... Then purged the top hose to get air out the line ..
Was it just a twist left and pull quick ? And put the new one in lol
@@bibbic403 yeah
Man I can not get the dang thing in. The new o ring is so fresh I have to apply so much pressure but can’t cause it’s all fingers in a tight area
@@bibbic403 use a flathead screwdriver to press along that tab u see on the side .. theres two .. one when you put on, one side to apply pressure when to take off, either way, as u push in and twist, again use a flathead to help u turn it
Is this the same as a 2012 escape 6 cyl?
Not to sound like a jerk but honestly I don't know if the parts would be kinda the same or not ... But if your coolant switch is like mine then it may work ...but again I'm not sure about that
@Michael Valeone I been looking all over and I can't find a single video for a 2012 escape
