Hats off to this band covering one of Warren Zevon’s most poignant songs. A fine tribute to a great songwriter, still being actively covered. Their 15th anniversary album, “Fifteen” released in 2017, a release of their favourite covers contains this as the penultimate track, the best female cover version that I have heard.
Best cover of this song. Period. The harmonies make this song every bit as poignant as Warren's original. I might also add that I prefer the Wailin' Jennys' studio version over this live cover -- the acoustics and production values were better in the studio. That said, the girls would sound awesome singing in the shower.
