It was good but. it made my jaw lock up from how massive it was lol but it came out super fast and was so fresh that the breading was so soggy from it being straight from the fryer
Man I was pissed when I found out that they got rid of the Nashville hot sauce. I was so pissed that I drove off and didn't order anything...smh...I'm also mad they got rid of the Georgia Gold too! That was my shit too! They always get rid of stuff that people love an keep shit that we don't really care for...smh
I'm not saying that the Double Down is healthy, but it does eliminate the bread, which is 150 to 200 empty calories of carbs. I feel like that instead of plain mayo, it would benefit from a flavored sauce, like buffalo ranch, BBQ, honey mustard, etc.

Great review! I just made my own version called the Taylor Ham DoubleDown. Fried a whole pack of pork roll and put slices of cheese between all the slices with no bread. Some good stuff…
Order 4 biscuits with it, get some mashed potatoes and gravy, quarter the sandwich, split and butter the biscuits, put some mashed potatoes on the biscuits, and make 4 sandwiches. Feeds at least 2 people depending on their size and you only spent like 16 bucks. extra delicious to boot

@Angela Losole the double down back in the day didn't have any ill effects on me. But their normal chicken sandwich with the bun did that to me. It felt like it was trying to give me a heart attack. I'm hoping I'm able to handle this new double down with no issues 🙏🏼

The DoubleDown by KFC is in my humble opinion The Best sandwich in all of fast food combined. Its better tha Bic Mac, better than Five Guys, better than Whopper,etc. Its a non nonsense approach to what we all expect from a fat, unhealthy sandwich. We know its good for you but its just such a pleasure to eat. I cant wait for it to come back in my area, enjoy it while you can!

The original one years ago came with something similar to KFC sauce on it instead of mayo i think
