I bought this camera a few weeks ago because of this video and I am super happy with it, thank you so much!
I have this camera and I absolutely love it 💜 great video!
Wonderful video Kim!!😀👍
great vid! quick and informative!
This video is very well done. The framing and sound is perfect and the information is easy to understand. Well done!!
Thank you so much!!! I'm very happy you liked it! :)
Nice video Kim. Well done! I just purchased my Ftb QL (silver on black) at a thrift store today for under $50. Very clean and everything works flawlessly! 50mm 1.8 FD lens. Can’t wait to run my first roll of film in it!
Wow I have to get that one with the 1.4 lens! Great video
Cool one! Awesome! Keep it coming!
I'm a big fan of the Canon FTb more so than the A series of cameras (A-1 and AE-1) precisely if the battery is fully drained you can still shoot using the Sunny 16 principle. If the battery dies in an AE-1 or A-1 you have a nice paperweight.
Good Video I am planning to pick this tmrw :)
me too :D what price? :)
@@milanyoutuber5218 $119 with a 50mm 1.4 Picked & Loaded Ilford Film in it :))
@@rajsingharora26 mine 22$ with 35-70mm, but with some troubles. Problems with slower shutter speed, shots counter and dirty viewfinder. I am curious about first roll results, so i will see :)
@@milanyoutuber5218 Picked from a store that had tested & passed it.
Awesomeeeee!! enjoy!! let me know when you have some photos, i would love to see them! :)
Have this camera, it's a beauty... By the way, I looooove you accent :)
Adrian Veselu thanks!! Hahaha Mexican ✌🏻✨
It was a nice camera for me
I was used this kind of camera since1991
Amazing! it is one of my fav
my pleasure :)
Good video!
Question: what battery did you use?
I got one, its strong like a tank.....
Hello Kim, hope you have a great day. Thank you for your video! I just bought the same camera and need to learn it! Do you have some results of this camera with settings shown?
Yes!! I do have, it is one of my favorite cameras :) Let me do a video with photos of this camera to show them.
These are a few: instagram.com/p/CDzZrH3B6aO/

You will love to use that camera! let me know if I can help in anything else.
@@KimGarza I am excited to see your work with this beautiful camera! I have the same one and trying to figure how does it work, i will ask more things in the future if you do not mind! Thanks in advance :)
@@Explorerofthesea sure!! Let me know how I can help 🤗
@@KimGarza Thank you ! When you will show your work with a video, can you please also add shutter speed and aperture values if you can remember ofc :)
I tried my timer, and turned it. Now its stuck. Any advise?
Hola Kim. Estoy entre la ftb y la ae1, y también entre el 1.8 sc o el 1.4, hay grandes diferencias? Cuál me recomendarías? Gracias
Nice camera. How big is your collection?
Pawel Wysocki thanks! Currently I have 15 analog cameras :)
@@KimGarza Wow! That’s nice! I have 8 film SLRs. Included is a Nikon F with the Ftn photomic prism head. Love it!
I have a Canon FTB QL, and it’s my first camera. How do I know if my aperture is working? Whenever I spin it, nothing changes
With the lens attached, change the shutter speed to bulb mode. Make sure you remove your lens cap.
Open the back of the camera.
Press the shutter release button and keep it pressed down. You will see directly through the lens.
With your other hand, turn the aperture ring on the lens to the various aperture settings.
You will see the aperture blades in the lens opening and closing.
That is your test.
Then, close the back of your camera and set to your desired aperture and shutter settings to get your correct exposure and take some awesome pictures.
Enjoy!
Hi! Which battery do you use?
Hi! Elisa Lopez is alkaline 1.5 varta v 625 u, I can send you the pic if you want, drop me a message in IG kimgarza.art :)
@@KimGarza I think this is not the best option. This camera requires a mercury battery 1,35v, unfortunately this is not yet produced...On the web this is a topic for tons of discussions..Personally I built an adapter who decrease the 1,5v to 1,35v. The esposimeter works better.
Can I ask the difference between a Canon FT and FTb?
Viên Viên sure, I just checked the Canon Fb because I don’t have that one, it looks pretty similar than the Ftb, is just around 5 years older, but the functionalities are pretty much the same, I just saw a few differences in the external design ☺️ both work similar 💫
Hi Kim, I just sent you a dm in Instagram (@trishagicole) :)
