    Nice video Kim. Well done! I just purchased my Ftb QL (silver on black) at a thrift store today for under $50. Very clean and everything works flawlessly! 50mm 1.8 FD lens. Can’t wait to run my first roll of film in it!

    I'm a big fan of the Canon FTb more so than the A series of cameras (A-1 and AE-1) precisely if the battery is fully drained you can still shoot using the Sunny 16 principle. If the battery dies in an AE-1 or A-1 you have a nice paperweight.

    Hola Kim. Estoy entre la ftb y la ae1, y también entre el 1.8 sc o el 1.4, hay grandes diferencias? Cuál me recomendarías? Gracias

    • @DesimaVEBO
      @DesimaVEBO Před 3 lety +1

      Ftb 100% de las veces, la construcción de la que te recomiendo es un tanque de guerra, busca que esté en buenas condiciones, cuídala y te durará mucho tiempo más, el 1.4 es súper luminoso ese sería el ideal pero en su defecto el 1.8 SC es más que suficiente para lograr lo que necesitas.

    • @henryrogers5500
      @henryrogers5500 Před 2 lety

      With the lens attached, change the shutter speed to bulb mode. Make sure you remove your lens cap.
      Open the back of the camera.
      Press the shutter release button and keep it pressed down. You will see directly through the lens.
      With your other hand, turn the aperture ring on the lens to the various aperture settings.
      You will see the aperture blades in the lens opening and closing.
      That is your test.
      Then, close the back of your camera and set to your desired aperture and shutter settings to get your correct exposure and take some awesome pictures.
      Enjoy!

      @@KimGarza I think this is not the best option. This camera requires a mercury battery 1,35v, unfortunately this is not yet produced...On the web this is a topic for tons of discussions..Personally I built an adapter who decrease the 1,5v to 1,35v. The esposimeter works better.

    • @KimGarza
      @KimGarza  Před 5 lety

      Viên Viên sure, I just checked the Canon Fb because I don’t have that one, it looks pretty similar than the Ftb, is just around 5 years older, but the functionalities are pretty much the same, I just saw a few differences in the external design ☺️ both work similar 💫
