If you've been a part of the Lone Fox Family for a while, you know that I love a good IKEA hack! I just finished the "lobby" in my home (see the amazing reveal here: • MAJOR LIVING ROOM MAKE... ) and I thought it would be fun to do some IKEA hacks before I start on my next project. These just might be my most elevated IKEA projects yet!
In this video, I show how to make a coffee table from plywood and some wooden bowls, create a sconce out of a basket, reupholster a chair in rugs, and make an outdoor rug out of placemats. I always have so much fun doing these, and I am sure you will, too. Just go to IKEA, wander around, and get your creativity flowing!

Invisible Collection realness. I like the coffee table.
The Ikea place mats are called Gallsupp in Germany, maybe it's the same or similar in the US :)
Awesome Drew love your tenacity amaze balls. Lol. Thanks for sharing. 😊
I would love to know where you got that carpet on your floor?❤ thank you for all of your inspiration!
AMAZING!!!!!!! This is giving me life!!! What size IKEA bowls did you use 8” or 11”?
Drew, I didn’t know how much I missed your DIY videos. Loved them all!
Just about to type this, like 😢 miss it so much
@@LoneFoxOfficial......nobody’s falling for that scammer
Oh me too these ideas were fabulous ❤❤❤❤❤
Drew, I so missed your DIYs. Love the furry seat. Too cute. Please share info on those gorgeous window shades?
I just hopped in to say the same thing!❤
I enjoyed all the diys but I have to say, the table was my favorite! The organic shape it took on was fabulous with bowl legs and the grain of the plywood popped! Something that would go perfectly in my den!!
That coffee table looks perfect with your seating choice! 👏👏👏♥️ Great projects, Drew!
I just want to say that the vibe of the coffee table truly matches the sofa! Love the results!
You and MaCenna are so talented. I recommended that she build her own coffee table. With your DIY skills, why not? I love love love them both. Design your own furniture if you can't find what you need.
Hi! One idea for the chair project: when you’re hunting for the holes through the shearling, as you find them, pop a q-tip into each hole so you can find them when you are inserting the screws.
Drew my man this coffee table looks soooooooooooooo much nicer and elegant than that other table with the blue marble top! I absolutely love this look and your diy rug! Thanks for sharing you hacks with all of us. Great Job you two! smile Keshia
I actually feel like this table is geared more towards Drew’s older style where he was living in the apartment whereas the marble coffee table looks a little more elevated and brings in some more color into the room.
I love how you do so many things on your own. Hemming your curtains while they were hanging was the best yet. I would never have though to take my sewing machine to the curtain rather than the curtain to the sewing machine.
Drew, i’ve watched the lobby makeover twice now I’m still gushing over how gorgeous it is!
I missed DIYs so much. These are so great, but coffee table is the winner :)
Plywood is a highly underrated material. My grandfather used sheets of 3/4" as giant wood tiles in their dining room and living room. Every few years my grandmother would paint the floor a new color. It's such a cool aesthetic.
What a lovely day!!! Thanks for taking us along!! My mother in law had a raccoon that would come in her house to eat . They became good friends and she would scramble eggs for him. Lol. He would eat, sit by her for awhile, then back off to the woods he would go!! He did that for a few years!!
Bravo on the coffee table! I love that you are not shy to roll up your sleeves to cut and sand wood. I agree that plywood is too often overlooked and am delighted to see how effectively you have elevated it.
So much fun to get back to the old school DIYS. Loved everything but especially the table. Thanks Drew
Love the fact that your not just an interior decorator that points at stuff and says fabulous or tacky or gets other professionals to do it for you etc, but you actually make stuff and do stuff yourself…coffee table works very well btw..
I agree!! It’s such a pleasure watching and learning so much from you!!
You’re such an inspiration and I can wait to see what you do next❤️
I have been dying for you to go back to your roots and diy something. I do love the home renovations too!
The coffee table is stunning. Genius!
Please can we have more of these DIY videos. Absolutely loved all of these ikea projects. They are why I started watching you all those years ago 😂 and as much as I like watching your new content I feel having both would be a great mixture for us to watch x😊
I love the coffee table.
"Courtesy of Boy Scouts." LOL. The coffee table legs are awesome! 👍😎🇨🇦
Omigoah, I LOVE all these projects! Back in the day (I'm old, so I mean the '80s) I had a set of trivets exactly like the pads you used for making that great rug. Darn it, I donated those years ago. Guess I'll buy more if I want a rug. The bowl balls are beautiful, and the table turned out great. Don't need another table, but could see making those balls for decor. My cats would love the chair for another napping spot. Thanks for the inspiration! You're a talented young guy and I love watching your videos.
Now this is what I miss! All those who used to do diy projects have turned to home renovations. Those are fun also but how many videos of home reno can a person watch and not get bored with them. This is your best video of 2023!
I have been looking for another mattress. I think I will look into the helix mattress and see what they have to offer. I have a lot of sleep issues too. The electric stapler is it easier than the manual. I have several manual staplers I don’t have the grip for them anymore. I’m 69 years old and trying to use them is painful.
I've used similar sheep skin circles for our cat beds, placed them inside baskets and they love them.❤
Your sqate knots are called Reef knots here in the UK 🇬🇧
That table is brilliant love the depth of the colour 😍
Drew! Did you just make a coffee table out of IKEA bowls?!!! Please post more DIY videos...We miss these and we miss this side of you! 😊❤
Electric Stapler is where it's at...
Invest in one... Worth every penny
I’m doing the rug for my patio. Just love these ideas.
Been waiting for this kind of video!
That coffe table was stunnjng
All three of the DIY's were amazing! My favorite was the coffee table. It's so cool. I also really like the chair with the fur on it and you were correct about the pattern the wall sconce makes. It's gorgeous. Nice job on all 3 pieces.
Thank you Wendy! 🤎
Omg the coffee table is great. I think I would spring for a nicer piece of wood for the top!!
I love all the budget friendly projects that add just the right flair to bring your decorating to the next level.
Love the placemat rug. I’ve been looking for the perfect rug for my front courtyard and nothing seemed right. You’ve inspired me! Also, the chunky legs (wood bowls) on the coffee table turned out looking so good. Have you thought about getting into furniture design? You have a really unique perspective.
Great DIY ideas! I'm glad you moved the sculptured torso to the top of the bar where it has better lighting.
What a cute little coffee table and very doable. The rug idea is perfect for a patio and again, something that anyone can do without the need of a single specialty tool.
YES ! Really enjoyed the 'old school' Lone Fox DYI video! These are very good projects and I appreciate how you kept them affordable and easy. I have to ask - isn't it time for a WORKSHOP? When I see you doing staining over you new living room carpet next to a leather chair and white sofa - DARLING I'M DYING HERE. Same goes for doing staining of the bowls/balls over cement drive - wow as new home owner you may not know that it is pretty impossibe to get stains - car oil, wood stain, paint - off concrete drive. So time to think of full time set-up of workshop ( it could be even just a work BENCH/COUNTER). Congratulations on great video - great content, video style and narration and choice of music - AND OUTSTANDING LIGHTING ( my pet peeve) 🤩
Thumbs up on the chair and light. Really glad to see a different option for the bar light . I liked the first lamp just not there.
The other lamp blocked the beautiful painting! I like the idea of a wall mounted sconce.
That coffee table in the lounge is just perfect!
I love the texture in the rug plus the last hack. The bowls could definitely be used as a decor piece.
Totally wowed! With a very little $$$ and some elbow grease you’ve got a custom coffee table. Genius 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
That coffee table is my dream coffee table for my space and now I can actually make it reality!
15:16 wow I actually love those bold tiger stripes on the first stain round!
I literally started clapping when you got the coffee table all set up lol. Nice! ❤
I like the progress on your house but my absolutely favorites are your DIYs. Thank you for doing another one today. Wonderful practical projects that can be easy done without too much trouble. Love it!!!
Oh how I have missed these ikea videos!! I feel like your mom watching you grow before my eyes and sooo proud of you! After watching you for years, it is truly amazing how your talent has grown into such professional grade!! You were always great, but now you are next level!! Such amazing creativity, Sincerely, Mama bear 😀
YOU RULE!!!
OMG, that coffee table is the best, most clever---ever! All those projects are fab, actually, but that table...well, you did save the best for last. I love your DIYs. And, honey, your hair looks great.
I am currently obsessed with bohemian decor so I will be making a rug using those placemats. That coffee table is gorgeous btw!
I love watching Drew DIY. Whether on CZcams or AD channel. His style is so elevated that it doesn’t look diy.
Ok.... that coffee table is genius
That coffee table!!! amazing
I really loved your chairs and table! Now this is something that I can actually do on my own. Well, the chairs at least. I don't have the equipment for the table yet. I can definitely do the chairs.
Oh wow that coffee table is awesome. I missed you doing DIY’s
I am so impressed with the coffee table hack! It is so perfect with your sectional sofa. ❤
the coffee table!!! SUCH A GOOD IDEA!!! thank you drew, I so so very much missed these DIY videos too! ✨
Love the ball-foot table. Just brilliant and so is the mat. Great lateral thinking.
English Chestnut is my favorite staon, love the sconce, but that rug, oh my, how nice.
I love the rug and coffee table. I’ve missed your diys, so happy to see them.
Love the basket sconce and now I want to try it with one of my vintage baskets! The light patterns are my favorite! The table turned out so cool!!! It would also be fun to use the wooden balls for a standing floor lamp!
That placemat rug would be a beautiful wall hanging!
These projects are so good…you have such a creative mind!
All were nice! The coffee table from plywood and bowls BRILLIANT!
Wonderful diys Drew. Might have been cheap wood, but that table looks high end. Absolutely Gorgeous . I love it.❤
That placemat rug idea is flipping my brain to making wall decor…
YES to the diy videos making a comeback!!! we love to see it (& we want more)
I loved all of these, but especially the table! The legs go so perfectly with your sofa!
The basket sitting on the table looked like a microphone. I could see it being used some way that reflects that. The coffee is probably my favorite.
These are great! I think the first chair would be great in a dressing, vanity area! I love the coffee table idea because so cheap too! I need more out door tables and plant stands but retail everything is so much! Thanks for great ideas!
Love your patio rug! What a cool idea❤
Love all your DIYs, but the coffee table, WOW. It's perfect!!!
Thank you for not badmouthing plywood grain! I love the look of finished plywood, even the edges. If you really want to play up the grain try running a torch across it, "burning" it, then sand it down and shellaque it. Some shellaque will give an orange-ish tinge. Or a light to medium stain loms good, too. You have resurrected my woodworking yen with the table and inspired some new ideas!!! Love your videos, always inspiring and entertaining!❤❤❤
That coffee table looks great with your sofa, specifically the legs & top shape.
E- 6000 Glue works, so easy
They're all fab... that coffee table is absolutely STUNNING!!!!
The idea of using those salad balls as coffee tables legs is genius! 🤩🔥👏
My fave is the coffee table. It's fabulous and I love the heavy grain of the plywood. The ball feet are really effective too. The place mat floor rug is my second fave.
you're the best DIY hacker ever, please get back to us with more DIY videos, missed them so much
Everything turned out so nice 👏🏼
Saw someone make a similar coffee table with round planter pots as the base.
All 3 diys were beautiful... but that table!!! It's incredible!!!
The table, the chair, the rug, the light... all are Great! That light would be cool for a kids room if painted kinda punky.. and that rug, would be a great indoor/outdoor wall hanging. I want that table!!!
Love it!
Love it!
...
Love love the coffee table. Such a great idea. You always have great ideas. You are so good about the details..and let us know how to do the project. Thanks again for another great video. I’m always so happy to see when you have posted.
The rug and the coffee table ideas are AWESOME! Love all 4 both those two especially!
Drew you are so smart and accomplished about everything in home decorating and DIY. Love your videos.
I love the basket/sconce lamp as well as the feet for the coffee table 😍
I'd absolutely love to see a video on how you come up with your DIY ideas. Maybe a walk-through Ikea pointing out different items and how they could be transformed.
That coffee table is just stunning
Love the placemat rug and coffee table I will be trying these. Thanks for the inspiration.❤❤❤
Great hacks Drew, they all turned out really well, love the chunky coffee table, it goes so well with the couch, very organic ❤❤❤
You should do a video on essential power tools/other tools for DIY and remodeling. I only have a drill and I'm overwhelmed on which is the best tool to get next.
Love the Wooden Bowls/Balls a coat of sealer and they'd be great in the garden.
Nice Projects really FUN !!!
Thanks for sharing. Will be making the basket sconce & the coffee table. Also, I love the lamps on your nightstands.
Loved all the DIY's.Thanks Drew
That rug would look beautiful hanging or mounted on a wooden frame and hung suspended with lighting above it over a dining table. Or lighting behind it in a corner of a room. So many options with those.
That coffee table ended up looking so expensive! Very creative - I loved it!
Wow! The coffee table is fabulous!!! You are amazing and so very talented! Love watching your videos!
Yessssss a DIY video!!!! Loved all these pieces. The table is so chic ❤
Ahhh I appreciate that so much!
Drew, I absolutely love the way you made your coffee table, using a unique shape. So inspirational! Thank you for sharing!
