With Shattered Glass getting it's own line now. I wouldn't be supprised of Shy Hammer was used for a Shattered Glass Galvatron. Also maybe a few modifications to the legs joints. This was an awesome idea.
I adore that Animated homage Megatron had. If only he could have used his upgraded body more.
I loved this look in Ascension. More than the Riotor Despotron in fact. He looks meaner in this form. Almost... like a god.
Somewhat ironic that one of the reasons for switching to the MakeToys figure was the fact that the head prevented a smooth transformation, when Rioter Despotron's alt mode is going to be somewhat difficult to make use of, what with him being a gun and all. Unless you've found a way to scrunch him up into a "Tank" mode, that is.
Till this day the only thing i can think of is" animated megatron noice"

Pretty cool, my fellow stop-motion animator! I do like this style of Megatron, but I totally understand having to change away from it during production. The more articulation, the better! Keep up the good work! =P

Not surprised that Megatron changed bodies in Ascension. He was constructed cold after all
I definitely like the change in design for Megatron. To make it work with the story, you could probably put something in the expanded universe to explain the rioter despotron being an upgrade of sorts so that it won’t seem confusing. Just an idea that I thought of that could help with having the change make sense in a storytelling standpoint. I just figured I’d say this here since it’s a video talking about the design of Megatron. But, up to you with that.
I’ve always wondered how he came to be. And I agree with Megatron being taller... gives him something to be feared of by the other cons.

It's been an while since I posted by his comment but I had got an first edition bee and classics bee but the ball joint sizes are different sizes

Have you considered recoloring and repurposing him as SG Megatron?
There actually is a way you can transform him with the head. I would know, because I did it😄 no surgery is needed.

Expanation and custom are fine, buuuut, I stronly sujest to make an TF A Expanded universe episode to show how he changed his body again(and would been nice to do the same thing with other characters that get up graded like Iron fist, Hoist Prowl). And don t wanna be rude but, (it would be a choir to transform him during animation ) even tho the new megatron didn t transform even once during second sezon.
Whilst I have you since this is new. With having vehicles moving but are still images (which is prominent in Broken Mirror). How do you do that?

I was inspired by the other Megatron customs using Skyhammer as a base - I wanted a Megatron that would really stand out as unique to Ascension and feel like an 'evolution' of the character's look.

the original SG Wheeljack is a custom, the Ascension 'Slicer' form is the Dark Energon toy
