      My BMW's were always plaqued by a serious expensive issue right after the warranty ended. My wife's second Benz was junk from day one. So nice to drive Lexus's and not have to worry about such things. I'm on my third and my wife is on her second and we trade in around 110K.

    With less than 60k I was sweeping parts of my BMW off the road. Toyota/Lexus 200,000+ miles and all I've had to change is the mid section of the exhaust @ £37 fitted, and a wheel bearing (although i changed both rear bearings) @ £160 fitted. With the BMW I was shelling out that, nearly every month in repairs alone!

    It’s 2024 but I am looking at buying a used 2014 IS250. Thank you for a very comprehensive and detailed review. You are the only reviewer that tests the trunk size by getting inside of it! I would call this the “Mobster Test”. If you are a mobster and you routinely have to put bodies in the trunk so you can drive them out in the country and dispose of them, the IS 250 might be a little bit inconvenient as the body won’t fit in as nicely as a bigger car. But for most of us non-mobsters as long as it holds our golf clubs it’s going to be just fine.

    Horribly ugly! Lexus spent all their money on styling and now the IS250 will remain the most woefully underpowered and overdesigned car in its segment. It looks like a glammed-up Lancer Evo AND there's no more stick shift option. Toyota's backward thinking is starting to infect Lexus.

    • @suicidallooneypro
      @suicidallooneypro Před 10 lety +1

      I agree with you so much i think this new lexus IS250 is worse than previous IS250 in every single way, it's ugly, the dashboard is bland and 90's looking, the taillights with that line is ugly, headlight DRL looks cheap and tacky. Previous generation had a wonderful looking dashboard, the satnav screen was on the middle of the dash, easily seen and without the excess pointless bezel. The heated seat controllers are on the other side of the gear selector, that's not helpful to the driver, i really wanted to like this car but i hate it, much rather previous IS250.
      It's as ugly as toyota best selling cars, prius, corolla etc
