Hello Justine I have watched the video several time now, but haven’t been able to do this basic segment chart. It seems that each head is about an inch apart. It this true. You didn’t mention it in measurements but only in head.

      Justine Leconte officiel
+Sham X In the video, I used a sheet of 21 x 29.7 centimeters. In my case, each segment has about 2.5 centimeters height. If you are in the US, you can use a legal paper format (it is even higher and you can make the segments higher). A letter format is too shot though, because the girl has long legs :-)

Thank you so much. Thank you for getting back to me. Also when you have time could you show how to put on the clothes for front view, side view and back view. I am terrible at drawing I am just learning to draw. I never need to draw in my life so I never bother to learn but now I need too since I started a fashion course. Therefore i am really following everything and every rules and measurements or tips as you say. Your videos I can follow as you do explain it as if someone who have not got a clue can follow. So it's good that you take the time with these. Because when I get lost in class I just follow the tutorials. Thank you I know you must be busy as fashiondesigner.

If you take a standard ruler 📏 and use the width of that for making your horizontal lines on a standard size paper. The key is keep all your horizontal lines the same width. I paint on large surfaces and I sketch my work out before I start painting. I learned this many years ago in art classes.
