Boss had an annoying next door neighbor's dog sh@ing in his front yard each night.
One evening he took the oldest pair of shoes he had & tromped through the freshly laid loaf. Then he knocked on the neighbors door. When they answered the door; he walked right in onto the living room carpet & said... Now we both got a problem with your dog!

If I would have seen this when I was a teen, I would have done that to the Jehovah Witness that came to my parents house.
my friend got the jehovahs witnesses good. my buddy like most college students liked sleeping in. he had them knock on his door. he didnt even get dressed walk to the door in his boxers. well the good part is my friends roommate was up and heard them talking he stripped down but naked and walked to the door and asks my buddy whos there when he gets to the doorway. they ran off so quick and the problem was solved. whats great is my buddy had no idea his roommate was going to do that
Just don't answer the door if you don't know who's there. Quite simple. Also get a security camera.

2 days after I was given a stray dog, he ran past the Black Jehovah Witness and bit the White Jehovah Witness. She was bleeding and I had to call 911 because I had no first aid kit. They never came back.
During my 5th grade year when my grandma dropped me off from school, we did not expect to see a salesman standing in front of my door as soon as she drove up the driveway. It was so weird because he was just standing there and he waved at my grandma as he watched us pull up. In my perspective I thought he just got there and was about to knock on the door until he heard my grandma's car. I got out of the car to go inside my house but he acted as if I wasn't there and just kept eye contact with my grandma. As soon as I went inside to tell my dad he was really really pissed and stormed out the front door screaming his head off at the man to leave. It turns out my dad already answered the door and told the salesman "no solicitors" and expected him to leave but was really annoyed that he loitered in front of my house just because my grandma arrived.
And for all your Dad and the rest of your family knew, he sincerely and honestly thought your grandma might benefit from whatever he was selling - you couldn't trust him?; and since you never even heard him out, she might have.
@@abdul2009 For one thing my grandmother is not fluent in English. The fact that the man suddenly spoke to her nonstop made her feel overwhelmed because she didn't know how to respond to him. She didn't even catch a break to try to tell him that she wasn't intrested in the 1st place if it weren't for my dad confronting him.
@@abdul2009 LOL, yes, I'm sure the fucking sketchy door to door salesman stayed around after being told to fuck off because he was thinking 'this grandma can benefit from the product I have to beg people to buy'. Yes, that motive is clearly what gets him out of bed every morning.
@@RegularInvader ah right, that makes it more understandable. Still from now on how about you empathize with the salesperson more? Imagine if you had to go knock on a strangers door in the hope that they might buy your product so that it helps them, and so you can make money to feed your family. I know it takes a lot of patience to deal with a saleperson at the door for your grandmother but it is not like the salesperson isn't also a person deserving of empathy and who has a life too. Have you ever tried going door to door? have you experienced the nerves making your body shake prior to knocking prior to the door getting slammed in your face over and over again - and why? because the person you wanted to help with your product couldn't be patient for a moment longer with you prior to assuming they know everything about your product and deciding they don't want it - or even recognising how challenging it must be for you and just hearing you out prior to politely saying no?
It must have been similar for your grandmother who felt overwhelmed - she clearly wasn't used to that kind of experience. And your Dad must have just saw your grandmother uncomfortable so it makes sense his only priority would have been to help relieve her suffering - which is empathic. My advice (albeit unsolicitied advice ;) ) is that next time - if you answer the door - you extend some empathy to the salesperson, for it'll make it an overall more pleasant experience; you'll calm the nerves of an anxious salesperson, and probably help yourself feel more at ease because the opposite - a sort of battle - isn't exactly enjoyable. It is your choice - that's just my take on it.

12Sided put a no soliciting sign up and we won’t knock. It’s as simple as that. It’s our job, we can care less about the products we sell. Trust me
Idaho’s Rice vs. Nice Well, I go door to door and it’s easier to do the job with a product you can stand behind. Not all of us are JUST in it for the money short term. If you go door to door and don’t care anything about the product you’re offering for someone to look into or selling than I for one would never hire you and asking for someone else’s money for said product( that they probably work hard to earn) is a hard feat. Caring about the job and product in general or in your case lack there of could be due to a poor work ethic or frankly a shit product. People that go door to door like you looking for a handout in a seemingly or perspectively “easy job” are what makes my job so hard. It’s a HUGE obstacle getting over when people have poor experiences prior to my arrival. If you don’t like your company or your product, don’t waste your time or theirs or the homeowners while we’re at it and go do something else. Hope no one ever buys anything from you and I hope you never come into contact with a homeowner in my region before I do. Extremely nasty comment in general and wonder why you probably have no successes in the role. Assuming this video was created for comedic entertainment I found it funny especially after a long day. Assuming it isn’t I really hope no one uses this tactic on someone who takes pride in their work and is trying to feed their family whilst genuinely trying to help people. But I do hope you get what you deserve by trying to simply con people.

Many years ago Jehovah's Witnesses would constantly come to the door. A friend in his 50s got fed up and answered the door in his underwear. It gets better. He told them that they had interrupted him having sex with his wife! They hightailed it out of there and they never had another visit! 😅😂🤣

Step 3. If they ring just connect the speaker and play speaker

The best method I found to deterring door to door salesmen is telling them to fuck off. It's quite a clear statement of my lack of intent to purchase their product.

Here’s a better idea, don’t go to the door, or if you do and you aren’t interested simply tell them politely “no thank you” they are just people trying to make an honest living and don’t want you to waste their time as much as you don’t want them to waste yours... if the most frustrating part of your day is someone knocking on your door you must have a pretty nice life.

Oh I hate sales people, I hate it when they knock on my door, I hate it when they ask me how I'm doing when I'm at the mall or at Costco so they can sucker me into buying the crap they are selling. When they knock on my door, I just open the door, yell "NO" then close the door. If they approach me in public, I ignore them. They are scum. And to those who do this for a living, get a real job you bums. Stop acting like your my friend so you can make your sales pitch.
These guys in Yellow vests always come to our house, so whenever one comes up to the door, we just act like we're not there and then they just walk away
A lot of millionaires got to where they are by being salesmen. Sure they can be annoying, but most of them are young college students just trying to pay for college and they're making way better money and learning way better skills than an average minimum wage job working college student or teen would.
I’m in high school and I do it as a job for a lawn company. I’m just trying to make some money and don’t really care about the result. But when people like you have to be rude for no apparent reason it makes us feel like shit. We are all human after all.
Though the idea is funny, I wouldn't recommend it or anything like it. My husband and I are doing summer sales right now and most salesman are the hardest working people you will ever meet. We are doing it to get ourselves through school debt free and start a family, and for others to support a family. Most of us are doing it for good reasons and are honestly just trying to sell a good product. You obviously don't have to buy. But salesman deal with enough rude people for you to make their life harder and impossible to do our job. We are human too. Just think of us as a commercial that comes to the door. Listen, then decide, then go right back to your Netflix that keeps you so "busy".
Granted, I know there are overly pushy salesman, and I'm annoyed by them too, they make the job harder for the rest of us because you are immediately closed off and start by saying "not interested". Our job is to let you know the product and price let us get to that then we can be done.
Is it that lucrative? I would imagine mowing lawns or something around your neighborhood would yield you more money.
And right.. except the commercial on my television never interrupts my daily life (other than watching T.V).
They deal with rude people because in a suburb you have about 5-10 visits per week of someone trying to sell you something, often times very similar products. If you want me to buy your product by simply letting me know about the product and price, leave a flyer. Not sit there and try and rope me into conversation for 10 minutes for a product I have never thought about and probably don't need (or else I would have already bought something similar).
Personally it's fine you go up to a house, but look and see if they have a no soliciting sign and if they do, then they obviously don't want to talk to you. And I see it as rude if you go and talk to them, I would say the majority of door-to-door salesman don't yield to a no soliciting sign. Also, you never know what is going on in the house... Go back to my Netflix? Okay, you just interrupted my relaxation time and riled my dogs up by ringing my doorbell, and now my kids that were napping are awake. How can you possibly think the people that want nothing to do with a door-to-door salesman are the rude ones? Again, if there is not a no soliciting sign, then feel free to go to the door. But take 3 seconds to look for a sign on the door, meaning check the corners as well considering most people don't want to put a giant red no soliciting sign in the middle of their door.

My issue with most door to door people is that they do not respect my privacy even when a very detailed sign is right in front of them.
