When I saw this show as a kid, I was so scared of ursula I cried. Then, I went back to disney, and was about to see the show for my younger cousin. I assumed Ursula scared me just because I was young and villains are scary.
Until she came on stage. Now I'm scared of her for a different reason because dear god what is that thing

@Patrick Bryant thats funny because I always related to the villains more. Ursala, cruella, Maleficent...all if them. I never liked the princesses with all of there goody two shoe-ness...lol

I saw it little too seeing the bubbles floating 🫧 and feeling the wind and water spritzing I just loved it so much

This was one of my favorite shows at Walt Disney World, other than Beauty and the Beast. I would sing along when Ariel was singing. I also danced along to Sebastian while sitting in my pink wheelchair. I had a blast
15:50 my friends dad use to say that this guys only job was to kiss the little mermaid 30 times a day. The guy just lays there, gets up and kisses her lol

This is the cutest show, I've ever seen.my daughter loved this so much, she didn't want to ever leave....she was a huge arial fan....and still is as an adult.
I went to Disney world for my honeymoon and this was the best part of the whole thing to me,awesome experience! I grew up loving the little mermaid. but the fireworks and the lit up castle was the most romantic part and was a great end to our Disney experience.👍☺

I saw this show for the very first in 2014 while I was attending Star Wars Weekend’s, I have to admit this is one of the best shows I’ve ever experience, the puppetry and live performances are awesome, especially the huge Ursula puppet she was as tall as a Palm Tree I can’t wait to see this again 😊🧜♀️

I was there a couple of weeks ago. They've taken away all the water effects; the pouring water that comes down over the stage at the opening and the mist over the audience to make it feel like you're underwater. It's a shame, they really added to the illusion of being "under the sea". Still a favourite though.
What dates did you go? I went in Spetember of 2016 and it was still there

I don't like how the song "Kiss the Girl" wasn't used in this show. And personaly I think using footage from the movie is cheating because they aren't making anything from scratch. I do like how the puppets in "Under the Sea" are designed, they look very Jim Henson like.

Well, you're not wrong with the fact that using stock footage from the film and outdated 80s effects is a bit cheating. No offense and this is only in regards of my opinion alone, but this show needs a modern refurbishment. Think about all of the possibilities and new technological advancements they can use for this show!! Disney just needs to give it a chance.

Awesome show! Recently there are rumors that Disney removed this show but it's not true. Disney confirmed that the show will be back soon. That's the great news. We also uploaded our memories of this show on our channel 🙏

I only got to see half of this show in real life. The "Under The Sea" song was perfect and everything went like it was supposed to but then when Ariel came out and started singing when she says "How manys ones when once ever told" after she says that the audio abruptly shuts off and song stops and Arial just sits there flapping her tail and just sits there for like a minute not saying a word and then the lights above her turn off and her rock turns around and she goes back and then the person on the loudspeaker says "We apologize for the inconvience. The Voyage Of The Little Mermamid show will be temporarily cancelled and wil not continue at this time due to technical difficulties and issues with the audio. Please exit the stage and be sure to check out our showtimes for different shows you wish to see instead. Have a happy and memorable rest of your day." And we were really disappointed because we really wanted to see the whole thing but we can always watch it next time! 😀

No, it looks that way, but Gina(I believe the performer who plays ariel in this) is actually extremely short In real life. She is my best friends voice coach and she is only 5" foot i believe maybe shorter.

i never have been able to figure out how they do they disappearing fins at the end
I know how.
At 15:07 she places her right hand behind her waist. She does this to unhook the costume fin. The lighting and mist effects makes it look like it is disappearing when it is falling off of her.
she's standing on a mechanical lift. It pushes her up. the fin drops down in the hole right in front of her. the lift allows her to rise up far enough for the fin to drop in the hole. when the lift is lowered, the fin drapes over. Once it rises it up it is able to get into position to drop down without landing on the stage.
It's magical. I only figured it out after seeing a video where the fin didn't unhook correctly.

No because ariel was mermaid princess and she traded advice to Ursula and then boom turned into human and took her voice away

Not really a fan of this thing, other than the puppetry during the "Under the Sea" bit. I could happily watch an hour-long show of day-glow Bunkaru puppetry like that.
I really wish they'd gone that route for the Finding Nemo show at Animal Kingdom.

Saw this a couple months ago Ursula is huge and the whole show is great and we got to I think get to go in there first for our seats because my mom was in a wheelchair she broke her ankle she's ok now but my litttle being the devil child that he is instead of sitting in the back with a good view he wanted the sit closer and let me just tell you he sat between a family and then me and him had to move to another seat and he hit me and called me stupid five year olds

The Ariels are never good. They try too hard to invent on the song and overact to show off their voices but it makes it sound ... off.

I actually REALLY liked the voice, it was almost exactly Ariel's voice, I just didn't like the way she moved like she was an animatronic
