When I was a freshman my mom took me to Disney World. I love Twilight Zone and was ecstatic when I found out about this ride. We rode it like 6 times in a row because the line was short. I really hope to ride it again some day. This brought back memories thank you

I was so scared to go on this ride a couple years ago, I eventually pulled up the courage and stood in line, I was shaking like hell. Then I eventually got into the cart (dying on the inside) and it was all thanks to my brother, the ride had its first drop, and I LOVED IT. I had the time of my life on this thing. Then afterwards, I went on it, 4, more, times. And that’s the story of the first time I ever went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Orlando.
Edit: Something that happened on the third time on. There was this little (5 year old) kid in front of us, he was in his dad’s arms. He looked so happy and exited because his father got him to ride it so he could as well. As we were waiting to get into the elevator, he broke down. Screaming and crying, the whole shabang. Then we entered the elevator, he was still crying, his dad tried to enter the seat and get him in his seat. After about 5 to 7 minutes of crying, screaming, and kicking his dad his dad says, “I think we will miss out on this one.” And I will never forget what this cast member said, it was legendary, he says, and I quote, “If you need any help, or you are scared, just scream like he did.” And the ride began. BEST CAST MEMBER EVER. I will never forget you.
Did that line make it 10x more scary?
When i was scared when we were in line, two girls told me that when they first rode it they were also super scared and was screaming in the ride, they told me that its gonna be over super fast and i was gonna have fun, they were so nice tbh

Rode this about an hour ago. I was completely terrified (in a bad way), and the library scene only made it worse. But then when I saw those visuals and dropped for real, I immediately realized it was awesome.
So for those that are scared to death to go on this ride, take it from me; once you finish, you’ll wanna go on it over and over again.

I was so happy and excited to finally ride this but after we entered and it actually started I was starting to panic I rode it in July 2022 and I got off visibly shaking. This ride is insanity. Last time I rode in our vacation it had 3 nonstop lift and drop segment that your body reached negative Gs. You were off your seat the whole time. My stomach felt it was floating inside me. This is truly one of my favorite thrill rides.

Ever since I was a kid, this ride really creeped me out. Not even the drop part, but the whole storyline that goes to it
Jack L I’m pretty sure the cast members used to wear heavy eyeshadow and makeup and they actually acted soulless, like they weren’t exactly there. After my recent visit to Disney world last week, it seems the cast members are acting lively, actually like normal people. It put me out of the atmosphere.
for me, i can do drop towers just fine because its just sit down and go but this had a story to it and it just builds up fear before the drop, i love it
Okay, fun story (keep in mind: i was 9): So, my mother forced me on this. And you know that part when u have to watch a video in a room (it’s like that in paris), if not: you have to stand on a carpet and watch a vid that tells you the storyline. So this employee walks around the room slowly, it’s dark, and out of a sudden i hear a soulless ‘hello’ in my left ear. I was already scared to death and i thought it was my mother first. So i look to my right and hit my mother for scaring me. She tells me to look around and then, oh then. I look to my left and see this man staring into my soul! I jumped and screamed. This man couldn’t keen his laugh in and laughed with the rest of the group.😂

I was absolutely terrified to go on this ride, but really the worst part is on your head. The best thing you can do is just get in line. The ride is not bad at all, and I didn’t really feel that stomach drop feeling. I know for sure that I would have regretted not going on it, and in the end I actually really enjoyed it. It is also more fun if you go with someone else. If you’re really worried about the drops, I found that just putting your hands in the air and letting it happen is way better that trying to hold on for dear life. At the end of the day, you’re on vacation, try and enjoy yourself!
This really is one of the best rides there. A lot of the rides show their age and you can feel it, but this one has aged really well.

For those who never rode this when the door opens and you see sunlight. You can see the whole park right before you drop it’s crazy
that was in disneyland. In this one, they only say “you’re about to discover what lies beyond the fifth dimension” and then drop you. But, in Disneyland when they still had the tower of terror it said “say goodbye to the outside world” and then show you the park, and drop you.
@@youllneverknowgorg Disney World one definitely stopped at the top to see over the park, saw it with my own eyes. Been on it 6 times and loved it every time, was even lucky enough to be the unlucky 13th passenger who got the lap belt in the centre on the back row.

When I was about 8 years old I went on this ride because I thought this was safe. My parents didn't even say anything about the ride. It was calm at first, but then you reach up the tower, then the elevator drops. Our backpack actually flew up. We still have that backpack luckily. I wasn't even recovered from that experience, and so that was the only time we rode the Tower of Terror.
Now all the towers in Disney parks have there own story!
My mom tricked me into going on this when I was in 1st grade. She told me it was a “tour of a spooky hotel.”

We have a rollercoaster where I come from in which 2 sides battle, water and fire and randomly one of the two wins. Funny thing is both sides always converse and clap when a side wins and its actually a really fun experience.

i will never forget when i rode this ride, it was such a hot 2 hour wait in sunny florida, and the door opened at the top of the ride looking onto the park and it was pouring rain. it felt like magic
this makes me so happy. I miss going on this ride when I was little and being super scared. This video is so lively and everyone seemed connected. Everyone was happy with eachother, and was laughing. What good memories. I love disney

I went with my older sister and her friends to Hollywood studios on August 4.
This was the 3rd ride we rode and let's just say we all sat together, I held hands with my sister for dear life when the ride went up and down, , but she mostly clinged onto me. I still get that one eerie feeling before the ride. . . Let's just say I had a good, bad time. I almost passed out from shock or whatever.

I was once playing the audio from this ride with the voice over about the passengers in the most uncommon elevator, while on a regular elevator with people on it.
Funny thing is when it got to the part where it says the 5 people stepped into an elevator nightmare, the regular elevator stopped at a floor and people were getting on.

Oh I screamed. I've rode some pretty big coasters and rides before, but this ride is just intense, there's no getting around that... It really is a one-of-a-kind ride, and it's an amazing ride that I hope stays for a long, long time, but there's no way on Earth you could get me to ride it twice in one day. I can only take going into the 5th Dimension once...

I have only ever been in Guardians of the Galaxy ride but it’s crazy to see how similar is was the Hollywood Tower. The added a lot of lights and darkened the area and changed the theme but the overall structure is the same and even the same pipes were kept.
That's because it used to be the Hollywood Tower. They just did a reskin

I went on this ride back in 2009 when my family and I took our trip. Got to miss a week of senior year of high school. The best. Lol. TOT is my favorite (2nd is Space Mountain!) and I love the feeling of free falling for some reason. Never been skydiving or anything, but, this ride was awesome! Anyone that is planning your trip and you love that kind of thing, I highly recommend! 👍✨

Rode this twenty years ago now and I can still remember coming off the seat and frantically searching for those TINY little rickety handles on the seat. My head was almost in my lap however. You couldn’t even see my head in the picture 😂 but the view when those doors fly open. Amazing.
I rode this for the first and so far only time with my best friend when I was 18. As much as the ride borderline traumatized me, it is one of my fondest memories as well.
My best friend and I met online when we were 8. She and her family were always huge Disney fans and she swore that one day we would go to Disney together (I had never been to Disney before) and she would make me go on Tower of Terror. And I swore I would never go on it. 😂 I hate heights and the feeling of falling.

Well, when I was 18 she flew out to surprise me and took me to Disney. And when your best friend does that you CAN'T say no to any of the rides, it's a rule. So I went on ToT... when we got off I was crying, sheet white (and I am already a very pale person) and shaking. Her mom was like "oh god you made her go on the tower?!"

No joke, my first time going on this ride I had no idea what it was. I've heard so much about the tower of Terror but I assumed it was like The Haunted Mansion. I never heard anything about a drop. I had the same reaction as her when my roommate took me to it for the first time haha.

Went on this bc I'm in florida for a holiday and I was heavy breathing, panicking,crying. Basically never felt so nervous in my life. Went on it and loved it! Best ride ever tbh ❤️

This ride is amazing. The story, the engineering, and everything else is beautiful.
But 4:18. That is easily the best part. The buildup, at this point, has left the riders in suspense. They *know* they're gonna fall eventually. But they don't know when. But once they hear the noise at 4:18, they quickly realize that it's time to go.
I know, the first time I rode this I was somewhat terrified 😆
My exact thoughts when I rode this. I was so scared for when we were gonna drop but as soon as I heard that my heart dropped because I knew what was about to happen

I went on this ride last year and I LOVE it, I didn’t scream since I knew almost EVERYTHING about the tower of terror. It still gives me nostalgia.
This is, hands down, the scariest ride I’ve ever been on. When the elevator like thing started to fall I felt like death.
I was never more relieved when I saw that swirling screen because I knew it was over. I was shaking so badly I couldn’t walk straight for a while.

For me I was forced onto Splash Mountain when I was young and would ride no roller coasters, or any fast rides. My mom said she would let me do the kids waiting area, but then right when my family was getting on she forced me on the ride saying “their making us get on.” It was the worst and most traumatic moment I can remember, and my family has a framed picture of the drop, and it reminds me of the absolute terror I experienced.

Just got off this ride for the first time and oh my gosh the anxiety is more intense going to the ride then the actual drop. These comments made my anxiety amplify 100x but during the actual ride, I was laughing so much having a good time. I don’t do coasters or drops at all so please believe me when I say, it is NOT that bad

Yeah, when I went on it there was a pair of people who were joking around and probably laughing at the staff (don't really know cause I can't speak French that well) but once it started, boy, their screams were the loudest.
