The natives in Taiwan are still suppressed by unequal policies today, and by the way majority of them live in the mountains, and their electricity have not recovered since the 1999 earthquake, even though the Taiwan government have promised to raise attention on the natives since befor the Green Party. Japan had fully incorporated Formosa in to its territory, That's why it pushed for Nipponization of the Formosans. At the San Francisco Peace Treaty, Japan renounced all claims over Formosa, Pescadores and Spratley's without naming a receiver. Thus leaving Taiwan's sovereignty to its residents instead of the governing body called the Republic of China. This is similar to the territories of West Bank and Gaza Strip where Israel administers but does not own.
If you say so then Republic of Korea or its northern counterpart don’t have the right to rule Korea because the two Korea founded in 1948 didn’t receive Korea’s title transfer from that treaty signed in 1952.

Taiwan is not at war with anyone much less a civil war because Taiwan is a country of its own after Japan renounced all claims over this former territory. The ROC on the other hand is still claiming to represent China.

Although the video is really well made, I personally don't believe that Polynesians origin in Taiwan. More like these were from a group of tiny islands in Micronesia and Melanesia. then travelled elsewhere. In south east Asia like Indonesia and the Philippines, I believe that those people origin exclusively from the Polynesians.
Why don't you think Polynesians originated from Taiwan ? I thought it was pretty much the settled opinion, based on DNA, language etc. What's the argument against ?
