Happy Easter Flippy. 👍
He Is Risen ✝️
Happy Easter
“wait so i don’t get it, you a fucking dolphin?” had me in TEARS🤣
Ecco in a nutshell.
🤣🤣 this is why we love Saints Row. Absurdist humor! But the reboot was just absurd
hearing the dialogue of npcs from previous games goes to show how far saints row has strayed from what it once was
Facts
and I love it for it
excepting that ugly reboot
Sr1 especially
I never thought anybody would ever call Jimmy Savile a legendary DJ ever again.
I dunno, I call him a legendary DJenerate
@@0uttaS1TE haha nice one
DJ = Demonic Jackass
this is why I like Ed Boon, the first 2 mortal kombats had stuff that no one but him in the studio knew about
most of the secret characters was just him trolling his co-workers
not to mention a secret code to play for free on arcades that was discovered just a few years ago
what a legend
Holy shit! Playing for free on arcades?? Imagine how broken that would be if people knew about it back then! How the heck did this go unnoticed for so many years?
@Brunoki11 I think having a code like that is fraud if the arcade operator can't disable or modify it.
The statute of limitations has passed now, but if it was discovered I think Midway could be sued.
@@Brunoki22arcade machines had a free mode in the menu.
So, if you bought a machine you would just set it to free mode
I see bunni
I click 🐰
Flippy with more heat 🔥
da bunni iz gud.
"The percentage of gamers that even finish the game is already staggeringly lower than what you think it is" i assume that's why volition doesn't bother to finish developing their games and just releases them as half broken messes now.
well knowing that in todays gaming climate, most games are released unfinished and overly drowning in promises and apology letters, is staggering
i smell smoke, think a bomb just went off.

It’s attention to detail like this that makes games all the more worthwhile to play, a shame that most of the general audience will overlook it and just want to go by what they see on the surface alone. No wonder games these days feel hollow and vapid.
my dad got me a copy of saints row 2 that came with a map in the case and in it you can find secrets and marks that would point towards easter eggs like the rabbit in the ocean. i remember calling my dad to my room to see the cool stuff i had found too. that remains as one of my fondest memories of saints row and video games in general
also, i grew up w/o access to the internet or even a computer so finding this stuff by myself before i even knew what a wiki was feels really cool now that i reflect back to that.
Flippy is one my favourite ASMR channels, straight up
You see an Easter egg
You find it
Immediately you get enjoyment
You see an Easter egg

I have been replaying Saint row 2 for a long time now and taking my time and it is just so good and replaying it is like meeting old friends and going on vacation to a place I really love, sadly there aren't a lot of games these days that can give me that feeling
The SR2 Insurance Fraud easter egg was actually revealed on the Saints Row forums years ago in an easter egg competition hosted by then-community lead V-Singular. He kept giving little hints in a thread until somebody finally found the right combo of taunting and button presses. Unfortunately those forums are long gone (although they may still be around on the Wayback Machine) which is why that easter egg flew under the radar for so long.
that ending monologue about the rationale behind easter eggs was really well spoken
I wonder if that Zombie Uprising cut levels thing had anything to do with the what is dubbed "Mr Freeze"
6:47 wait, is that why the "Freezer" exists? I vaguely remember that being a thing where if you glitch the game to escape Zombie Uprising it can brick your disc
The Freezer has been proven a fake, I believe
It always gets lonely during Easter for me.
Thanks for the gift flippy
I pray it gets better for you, bro
@@mohannadalshamrani199gmail thanks bro
The dev isn't wrong about the amount of people seeing easter eggs being low.
Thanks to Xbox/PS/Steam showing the % of players who got achievements, it's always like 5% - 20% of people who actually finish a game, vs something like 1.5% of people who go for 100%. That 1.5% of people are usually the ones who'll see the "secret" easter eggs. Most really do just leave and move on after the main story is done.
It's perfectly understandable why those kinds of easter eggs aren't common anymore, why bother putting in all that effort when barely anyone will see it for themselves, and most people would just end up watching it on CZcams instead?
I think games that have insanely easy achievements that pop up after like 10 minutes is usually something like 80%. So there's plenty of people who'll only play for the first 20 minutes and never touch it again.
That 70s idea actually sounds sick
I still remember the first time I found the rabbit in SR2. kind of spooked me initially because I had no idea what I was following, but that kind of made it more memorable.
As for whether or not players will see or care about easter eggs; if it gets players talking, gets them to play the game more, then I'd say it's worth putting in.
Right? Sometimes you just got to do things for fun. So what not many people will naturally come across it. IF folks want to rationalize it to that point, why bother putting in an ending when less then 10% of people who play the game will see it. Actually, with the industry pushing live service games and such, they may have had that idea.
Flippy uploading three times in less than a couple of weeks, absolute miracle
Really been enjoying all the content lately, hope you have a Happy Easter and keep having fun with the videos
12:15 you rocked his shi
The Castlevania and Shenmue easter eggs would've been awesome to experience!
"Game breaking glitches, in MY beloved Saints Row?"
Imagine if it suddenly segways to a part 3 of top 10 game-breaking glitches video haha
Does this mean that The Freezer is a leftover from these extra levels and therefore freezes your game?
THAT is an interesting point
The freezer also has a tendency to break saves.
Holy shit you might be onto something here, the question now is. Was the freezer intentional or accidental?
I think nowadays whit many people just straight up looking at files or instantly sharing their findings are the reason easter eggs are bevoming less interesting and engaging.
There was a certain mistery and nostalgia factor in reading something like a myth and then going yourself to check it out. Damn, even finding one on your own made you feel accomplished and happy that the developer actually thought of something more than a mere alien model dot exe.
4:46 Lol, I was shooting Vice Kings so often in this coridor that this bear became my stable source of income to pay for respawn😅
I lost my shit when the burning playa went up and slammed Julius lmao
Man this makes me wanna play SR1 again beat/played it for the 1st time a year ago now
I always enjoy your content Flippy! You always take your time when making your vids. Keep it up! 👍🏾
Flippy back at it again with the 🔥
i was a little baby boy teenager wheneever I found your vids, and the fact you're still making good SR content makes me happy
keep it real 💯 ❤❤❤❤❤ :3
“Legendary DJ from Britain” please papa flippy, we don’t claim that monster
The most Classic Flippy video in years.
Easter eggs were originally intended to put credits into games where publishers didn't allow it.
That no longer happens, and on top of that things can catastrophically break down, so...
thanks for consistent uploads, flippy. ✊🏿
It's always such a treat seeing videos from you. Your voice is so nostalgic to me, as weird as it is to say lol
That strongbad reference unlocked a memory for me. holy shit. Time to binge homestar runner
hearing flippy saying “game breaking glitch” always feels so right it’s like his catchphrase
You worked on SR2?
The Kabob also appears in sr2 as a food item
The suit and ties suck all the fun out of everything. Who wouldn’t want a game filled with cool easter eggs to find?
omg the homies playing video games in the crib wouldve been PEAK esp with that dialogue haha
man that last one was somber i was talking to my friends a while back about how i dont see much easter eggs in videos games now and how they are basically non-existent in Open World ones and to hear devs dont put them in bc a majority of gamers wont care bums me the hell out
Flippy definitely gets Nam flashbacks saying Game breaking glitch
you never fail to deliver
I miss the saints
We all do man
I've been following you since I was like 12 I'm 21 now. Till this day I have never seen a bigger saints row fan than you.
There are 2 easter eggs that I will remember for my whole life, number 1 is the cabbit in the ocean from saints row 2. I found it all by myself long before any videos had been posted online just by goofing around and following the arrows. It was probably the very first Easter egg I ever discovered by myself.
The other is Patricia tennis riding a fish from borderlands 1, I discovered that while waiting for my then gf (now wife) to get back so we could continue playing. I just happend to shoot the barrels in the right order and was so excited to show her I needed to reset the game and didn't save 😅
9:29 Find it cool someone else runs a player character like that, cause I run basically the same thing, headphones too. Even black and blue clothing for the upper body.
10:16 I'm glad they kept this one in
I luv u papa flippy
Love shit like this Easter eggs are so over saturated but your editing and sense of humor always makes it worth a watch
Easter egg hunting with my friend over LAN on Saints 2 was so fun
Not only is the Cabot Easter egg cool the bunny is adorable
never retire 👀
Seeing "That DJ" in 3 physically made me cringe, how the hell did they slip that one in!?
It was released a couple weeks after his death and a year before... the allegations...
That homie shenmue dialog is so fucking funny
I hate every single saints row game I have ever played but I will keep watching your content
I really hope open world game developers continue to drop Easter eggs like Saints Row 2 did. SR2's Easter eggs were so good to the point where I personally discovered some that I never knew about until years later after beating the game multiple times. TAKE ME BACK!
The Shenmue reference made me happy
The marketing benefit from easter eggs has to be considered by these devs when deciding what to add to a game.
Although little easter eggs here and there wont be seen by 80-95% of the players
It will be talked about and featured in articles and videos that get thousands to even millions of impressions. Like mortal kombats secret characters and cheatcodes is arguably one of the key reasons why the sega versions were more popular than the snes verisons.
Easter eggs in the saints row series always felt really special
11:11 I used to Love doing that as a kid
10:55 "the legendary DJ from Great Britain" LMFAO 💀
They Referenced Shenmue, I love that, too bad no Money Island references though
Need all this back
i like the one at the parady crystal lake where you pick up jasons mask and hold it and it turns into a skull
SR2
I didn't know who Jimmy Saville was and went searching for it. Now, after reading about him, it seems calling him "legendary" after him having abused over 500 people in his life time, both old and young, and never being caught, doesn't seem so fitting. :/
very nice video
thank you for this treat :)
I never thought hearing the homies teach me speedrun glitch strats would be so funny. Ah man, in a perfect world we'd have gotten this shit 2 years ago instead.
Jesus Christ you still alive??? I remember when you showed how to get the “tron” suit in sr3. Im old.
Haha the dialogue referencing other games is amazing
the cut ufo easter egg in sr2 is pretty cool too
Happy Easter, Flipper!
Happy Easter Flippy
im a bit late, but i see flippy video, i click.
big bunni
8:08 he said it!!!!!! make gamebreaking glitches part 3, flipster bro
"Jimmy Seville Legendary DJ"
"In June 2014, investigations into Savile's activities at 28 NHS hospitals, including Leeds General Infirmary and Broadmoor psychiatric hospital, concluded that he had sexually assaulted staff and patients aged between 5 and 75 over several decades."
Think he was a little more "legendary" for something else.
So uh, are you still making that Saints Row 1 series?
i believe "legendary" might be the wrong word to describe jimmy saville
I hate the idea "so few people will find X or do Y that it isn't worth putting into the game" At that point, why not just make a game like pong? Can't do anything but exactly what the developers inteded.
The king is back❤❤🔥🔥
If all this was in sr 1 i couldn’t imagine how much more would’ve been added In sr2
wow i never would have thought there would be two shenmue refs put in as an easter egg
Come on squid girl. We can buy you a new kabab.
Thanks for the upload. Happy easter.
Nice video. Easter eggs are always cool.
I think studios definitely have the wrong orientation toward easter eggs. When done right, they serve as easy marketing and can increase the longevity of a given game. SR2 is a great example of that.
Given that one literally nuked your save file...
wouldnt exactly describe jimmy saville as legendary...😂
Happy Easter Flippster 👍🏿
I just bought Saints Row 1 since it’s the only one i haven’t 100% (other than the reboot) so it’s time to have fun
I wonder if these game breakin easter eggs are the origin of that shadow man we heard about it in gaming urban legends.
Maybe the reason why the dude breaks the game is due to some spaghetti code shenanigans.
I would say its modern publishers not developers. Publishers want a product that will appeal to the mass market at the lowest cost, Devs left with unlimited budget would never get their games finished
Happy Easter, boss!
i love you papa flippy
Happy Easter!
Mr christ rised to playes saints row
