    Lyrics:
    There are monsters out in the cosmos
    That can swallow entire stars
    Inside these equations, there's a monster
    Anything that strays too close will be pulled in
    Gravity is infinite at the center of black hole
    Time stops - space makes no sense
    Every galaxy has got one big black hole in the middle
    And millions of smaller black holes
    An anomaly of gravity so strange
    Nothing is more seductive
    There are monsters out in the cosmos
    That can swallow entire stars
    That can destroy space itself
    Completely invisible
    Anything that strays too close will be pulled in
    In the last century, black holes have gone from being mathematical curiosities
    To real objects in the cosmos
    Seemingly crucial to the formation of galaxies
    Nothing can escape it, even light
    There must be millions and millions of black holes
    Zipping around our galaxy, nothing there to light them up
    At the heart of a large black hole is a singularity
    It's a point of inifinite density
    The accepted laws of physics break down
    Black holes form when giant stars run out of fuel
    And collapse under their own weight
    Dark remnants of burned out stars
    Truth is stranger than sci-fi
    (refrain)
    Nothing is bigger and scarier than a black hole
    A boundary between the known universe
    And a place beyond the reach of science

      @Alex Linden the line says that density is infinite. The black hole is literally matter collapsing in on itself impossibly. That's why the line is "the accepted laws of physics break down" which includes the force being enough to expell subatomic particles in those flares you mentioned

    • @HunterHarris
      @HunterHarris Před 9 lety +2

      ***** Dude, you clearly don't understand the first thing about physics. You can't separate it from the math or it's no longer a valid science. Theoretical mathematical equations have paved the way for real-life discoveries like black holes and it allows us to make predictions about what will happen in the real world when applying physical laws. Without the math in physics, we couldn't send satellites or people into space. In fact, almost all of our modern technology would be impossible without having first formulated and tested mathematical laws. You just can't do physics without math. Deal with it.

    My kind are the precursor to the end of time and space. We consume all, envelope entire solar systems and nothing will escape our hunger, our unquenchable thirst for matter. We are born from the chaos of dying stars, the very things that give you life. You cannot escape us, our pull is irresistible. You will be consumed and, like those that came before you; you will be forgotten.

      Joel West Our universe fulfills all the physical requirements for a black hole. The problem is that no matter can pass between separate universes. Only the primal energy can do this. So we can never know or observe whether or not they exist. That is wonderful.

    • @errorunknownuser4752
      @errorunknownuser4752 Před 5 lety +1

      Interesting thought, sadly completely untestable and not substantiated by any evidence. If this were true we'd expect spaghetti strands of matter and light to be flying in from the edge of the universe lol or as a blanket wall coming from all directions. also the speed at which the universe is expanding would be fluid based on the amount of matter/energy being funneled into said blackhole which is not the case, either that or it wouldnt be expanding at all as the singularity of a blackhole does not change size.

    So, I was thinking; if there's a singularity, that means the _distance_ between the centre and its physical surface is 0.
    Fg = (G * m_1 * m_2)/_d_^2
    ... Are black holes and their strange properties literally a divide by zero error?

    • @labonephysics9400
      @labonephysics9400 Před 4 lety +1

      If you apply Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation, then "yeah, nah" (I still can't believe only Australians use this phrase). General Relativity describes the situation more accurately, but Universal Gravitation is an excellent approximation, provided nothing weird is going on. But in a black hole weird stuff is going on. In any case by either method there exists no mathematical solution. So much of what is and isn't possible in the universe is determined by simple stuff such as dividing by zero, taking the square root of a negative number etc. The boundaries of mathematics shows us where the boundaries of the universe are, since we presume the laws of mathematics are consistent across the entire universe and have been since just after the Big Bang.

After intensely analyzing this edit, and the work put into cutting it and do the sound effects for the narrators voices and dialogue, i conclude that this is a supreme effort, and an excellent production, and deserving of the (at time of writing) , the 4 million views. I also feel inspired to get my video editing software out, studio one 5 and logic x pro, some pexels and pixabay clips and a few public persons speaking, and have a go myself at making some music (copy the idea).. seeing as i like to make music anyway in Garage Band and on my Guitar.
