Arteta has raised the level to something we havenât seen in 20 years. Be careful what you wish for lads, Arteta isnât perfect and heâs still got a lot prove but everything is there to be successful now, we just need to find those marginal gains by any means necessary. Let him cook and if by the end of it he hasnât delivered the league or CL then weâll discuss.
Let him cook
Arsenal got to a champions league final in 2006 and have won back to back fa cups since. You arteta sexuals are weird
@@mac10ner A CL final that was lost and heâs already won himself an FA Cup anyway. 2 out of Arsenalâs top 3 league performances ever are delivered by Arteta and the league is the only accurate way to see where a team is at. Ten Hag will still be sacked even if he wins the cup this weekend, ask yourself why.
Exactly, everybody can have their opinion, and I respect that, but I don't even understand the Arteta conversation. Be careful what you wish for. Remember we couldn't get in the top four a few years back.
The level is 2 places up from our usual 4th and at the same time that the top 4 aside from City in LIverpool, Chelsea and UTD have all been terrible. UTD now have had a better season and still sacking their manager, we need to really be doing the same if we're to try and start actually doing/winning anything
A lot of clubs now look at Arsenal as the benchmark. The only thing Arteta and his boys are lacking is and EPL or CL trophy to seal their status. For those that don't want Arteta, who exactly would you rather prefer?
There is no benchmark to talk about until they win something. Especially after how the team performed in CL knockouts. These are the games where you set the benchmark. Unfortunately Arsenal still lacks something to be considered a top dog
Tuchelâs a proven winner
Zizou?
Well even an fa cup or carabao cup would be nice considering this is our longest trophy drought for a decade
@@Kevin-im1gj Yeah what we lack is winning a major. I do think some clubs are looking at what Arteta/the club is doing though, so maybe an example of a model, as opposed to a benchmark. But if Areta does go onto win majors, that's something else.
But you can have a number of different models potentially, it's finding one that works for your club and what the vision is, etc.
Klopp only won the league once, but he also won every other trophy and got to multiple finals. Arteta is not doing that yet.
How long and where was Klopp a manager before Liverpool?
He joined Borussia Dortmund in 08/09 where he won back to back league titles, the DFB Pokal Cup and the DfB Supercup twice overcoming the mighty Bayern Munich so his record is in a completely different sphere to Artetas

If we go by pundits...Arsenal shouldn't have dropped any points this season. Arsenal should have won all 38 games this season. If they won every game, they would have won the league.
I just can't believe other teams and managers haven't sussed that out yet. It's so simple, you shouldn't drop any points at all against any team, win them all and NEVER have an off day, have injuries or feel tired. It's not rocket surgery, its football.
Every proper team needs to be getting 114 points! , can't believe Pep only got a 100 that time. Useless!

In the same year we won the FA Cup in 2016/17, we also lost 10-2 to Bayern
That was a horrible season to endure. So if we got top 4 and an fa cup next season I wouldnât be satisfied
Challenging for the title is the most important because at least it city slip, weâre in there

If i was Robbie or Lee judges i wld not question Arteta because is one of the best coaches we've had since Arsen wenger ,people forget that Arteta is young and his knowledge of the game is immense. Imagine coming second twice in the league from the best manager of all time. Put your energies elsewhere like how do we strengthen the team.
We haven't collected any decent fees yet. We have dead wood we can't sell that we renewed contracts recently.
Now I don't care what anyone says...đđ, this team almost feels like the 97/98 team, we just need an Ian Wright, Anelka and Petit. I think Rice is our Vieira (box to box). Martinelli or Saka (Overmars). Odegaard shows signs of Bergkamp. I thought Ramsdale was the nearest to David Seaman, Raya bit like Lehmann makes a few mistakes but is still a good keeper.
Robbie, I respect Yardmanâs opinion, but heâs not the yardstick for Arsenal opinion. For me, Mikel is the best thing thatâs happened to Arsenal for years and Iâm blessed to have had that feeling from the day he was appointed and Iâm grateful for that belief. He really is taking us to new levels.
Best show for ages, canât believe julian has gone what an absolute result !!!! been crying out for this
The best managers score highly on recruitment, making average players better and drilling in a playing system that players can slot in and out of if required. Arteta scores highly on all counts. Plus versatility of style to boot, when needed.
Think you might want to reassess those scores tbh. Particularly around recruitment.
Tavares, Turner, Lokonga, Vieira what signings

Pretty ancelotti everton actually did really well he left half way through the season to go back to real Madrid
Arsenals improvement is always attributed to Arteta. But I attribute it to the internal development of our extremely talented young core. Saliba, Saka, Martinelli, etc. these players would improve regardless of manager đ€·đœââïž
I'm not bitter. I'm very optimistic, not because we'll be better next season but because Man. City have still got to answer those 115 charges & many of them are very damming.
I think we should wait till the end of next season to talk arteta after the progress we made we must not forget there are not any managers out there will come in and do a job
There are so many managers I would have over Arteta!!!!
In years gone by, loosing was becoming the norm at Arsenal. Arteta has bought back the expectation to win and be dining at the top table again
Great season to be part of lads coygs! Last final push to the top we gonna do it next season and the season after. We gooner be the team in everyone's head.
I must admit that I honestly thought that you'd win the EPL over us? (Man City) Up until the Villa game, I didn't see that happening, and from then on I thought you had lost the chance and I knew that we'd win every game. We always do, if someone gives us a chance.
Our home form cost us the title. Dropped 10 points. All the great teams have a 20+ striker
The arsenal of the last decade wouldnt have survived that run in we just had pretty much unscathed
Thats a change in mentality
The club is stable, competing for major trophies, beating top 6 teams we couldn't beat, why would anyone complain?
Martinelli was not the same as last season based on stats, but there are others who have improved especially defense.
We have the right man.
Iâm terrified that he gets taken away by Real Madrid or Barca.
We are so lucky to have Mikel Arteta.
The difference is not the players but the coach. We have a coach with low MENTALITY.
Arteta has done well but Unai Emery should have been given more time though, to be fair.
Exactly!!! Emery would have won the title!! He is a serial winner! And he took us to European final!!
Many football fans suffer from the grass is greener syndrome. The sense that new managers and players will come in and solve everything.
i'm sure arteta never understand why he bought lokonga, tavares, mari, cedric, willian, marquinhos, etc etc...đđđ
When we bought Rice everyone laughed at Arsenal because they said he wasn't worth the price. We weren't just paying for his football ability. He's literally been a game changer.
And what trophy did you in with him
2nd + Rice = 2nd (Mourinho voice) Progress đ
You failed in Europe and in every comp bottling the league finishing 2nd... You sign Declan rice for 100m just to do the exact same next season. Farteta and red spurs have no shame

Arteta has done an excellent job at Arsenal in recent years seasons. Attending the matches and the atmosphere at Emirates is brilliantly. But there is clearly pressure now to win silverware next season. It has to be the next step.
If only Arteta has some balls to engineer a win against City, just like Man U, we would have been Champions

Thinking about Rice's first season and who it compares too - there aren't many in the last 35 years that spring to mind. I backed Arteta from the beginning. I also backed Emery from the beginning. I always give managers a lot of leeway because they are not the only ones responsible for how teams play on the pitch and I think a lot of fans these days only want to look at the managers for being at fault because they donât want to admit that they are players that they love, share responsibility

I do agree with Lee. This yearâs City league win has left me cold, which is unusual for me as I recognize their achievements. Last year they were amazing and thoroughly deserved it, but this year I feel theyâve ridden home on their reputation and a popular belief that they will win it. Fair play, they won the league which isnât easy but I honestly believe weâve played the better football this season just like I thought Liverpool played the better football when they just lost to City in 2018/19. I love what Arteta is doing at Arsenal and think it would be idiotic to want to see him leave. That being said, he does tend to get ahead of himself at times. I think he should try get the basics right and win trophies doing that before trying his experiments. I don't think he has the squad nor accolades to do what he wants to do. How come you couldn't win the europa league pep want in it but you took 4 pounds off man city this season bit lost to fulham villa
(As a neutral) the only thing that saves Arteta is that they lost out on the title by less than three points. Apart from that Arsenal never played in any finals or semi-finals (let alone won a trophy). He gets one more year, even if they finish second next year, he's gone. People who want Arteta out say to people who want to keep him are deluded. It's an agenda against him. Yes you're right Robbie, be careful what you wish for. We didn't win it because we couldn't keep the momentum going, we beat city and never lost, and we beat all the other big teams, so I don't think city and Pep stopped us.
I do think if Arteta didn't play around at the start with players in usual positions, then we could have gained more points at the start of the season. No team can lose more than 4 games to win the title and we did, that is how we didn't win the league. That's not because of city, it was the same when utd was top dog and then Chelski.
But I still want Arteta to stay and keep building, win us the league and CL and keep building until he's won everything he wants to achieve at Arsenal. đđâœâœ
I am an arsenal fan and I think Arteta can succeed but this is not a well balanced argument; you guys are forgetting that Klopp although he won the league once he was winning every other trophy too; league cup x2, FA cup x2, UCL x1 and he got to at least three other finals!! Arteta has only won an FA cup and reached two semi-finals in five years!!! Not a great record tbh.
Loved it. Respect to you and respect to Arteta
I like Arteta, however he does not take cups seriously and there is some favouritism in his fielding of players. His ego will ruin him. About Pep, he is the best but the mindset that teams and the media have of thinking he does not have any mistakes, make it difficult for other teams to focus on beating them.
On the one hand the motivation the players had was down to the manager, however tactics and plan B (for example shouldâve kept benching zinchenko against villa and rest Saka and you play low block at Allianz ) and wedve won the league and had a chance to progress further in champions league.. similar to last year you donât need to win games youâve got a lot of points in front of city, sometimes play for the draw low block and nick it, play safe no need for shaky ramsdale to be kept under unnecessary pressure.. itâs always same predictable formation experienced managers will catch you out.. Iâd sack him although they canât so I hope Madrid or Barca take him
And this is what makes Klopp one of the greats because he managed to defeat Guardiola and his multi-million-pound squad.
Mikel will never win the league while Pep is there.
Would you take what Klopp has won at Liverpool right now, or would you still gamble?
36:36 That "mess" won him the FA CUP! Just saying...

We can't only focus on the EPL only better teams do it they win knockout football to get to finals to win cups. Gooner for life yeah. 17:53
The silly Arteta debate*
When you start to dismiss any topic regardless of what it is by calling it silly and attempting to take it off the table for discussion that is when things become dangerous. That's where fascism is born my friend.
We're talking about who should be the manager of Arsenal not the UK Prime Minister! It's only football mate chill out
â@@davidp8380 Silly Arteta debate
Lee was talking out of backside, Arteta's Rice signing is way higher than Rio Ferdinand in 2002. 30,000,000 in 2002 is 61,000,000 with inflation. But nice try, SAF actually won trophies and in terms of the squads as a whole it was nothing like the talent Arteta has imported to Arsenal in every position after spending 700m. Saka is the only club grown talent right?
@@davidp8380 Fascism is a conservative ideology
14:30 I sorry robbie but this narrative is absolute BS. Man city got 91 points this season not 100. Arsenal lost the league due to them selves not man city many teams to win the league nowdays have to have over 90 points and we ended on 89.
Yeah but the threat of them getting 100 points is enough to distract the team. So although the only got 91 points in thr material world, on the mental plane they projected 100 points which effected the ether meaning our team and manager were at a disadvantage. Basically City are using some form of reality manipulation so in truth it should be 116 charges.
@@troy8613 Great comment Troy, was pure waffle
Iâve been an Arsenal fan all my life and it was the villa game but lost us the league we shouldâve been better and beating them although weâve had a fantastic season we should be doing better against the likes of Villa then it wouldâve been our year
I think he was like head hunted because he was offered the job before Emery and he refused to be PEP's number 2 and immediately after sacking him offered him the job again
Remember when everyone laughed at âthe processâ when Arteta came in? Whoâs laughing now đđđ
More trophies for ten Hag in 2 years than Arteta in 4.5 years
Where's Julian and his medals...
It's funny how this two are not mentioning the other competitions.
You can not claim you "progressed" if you not include ALL competitions. Not only the League!
Everton were NOT poor under Ancelotti. What is this guy on about?
