In the second of a multi-part series of interviews with the cast of Birmingham Hippodrome's 2016/17 pantomime production, 'Dick Whittington', I chat with the one and only Steve 'Phil Mitchell' McFadden, who will be playing the nefarious King Rat!
We chat about a busy year professionally and personally for Steve, the differences between performing on screen and the stage, and what to expect from Dick Whittington when it opens at the Hippodrome in December.
DICK WHITTINGTON runs at the Birmingham Hippodrome from Monday 19th December 2016 to Sunday 29th January 2017.
Book your tickets online at: www.birminghamhippodrome.com/c...
Alternatively, call the Box Office direct on 0844 338 5000.

Brilliant actor, Steve McFadden, Mr EastEnders. Steve Owen made the mistake of trying to cross Phil in EastEnders, Phil Mitchell’s been in some scrapes over the years, but still going strong in EastEnders, over 30 years he’s been in it now

Brill actor as you can tell his voice is nowhere near as gruff and angry as Phil's.

What are you banging on about? Just because an actor decides to go panto doesn’t mean they’ve failed. Steve has had a successful 37-year run in EastEnders.
