  • Scott P. Commins, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Medicine & Pediatrics, and Medical Director, UNC Allergy Clinic at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, presented "Suddenly Meatless: How Tick Bites and IgE to a Sugar are Changing the Paradigm of Food Allergy" at University of Louisville Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on March 24, 2022.
    Dr. Commins' talk will focus on recognizing a clinical history consistent with alpha-gal syndrome, understanding how to diagnose alpha-gal syndrome, identifying the risk factors that may lead to a patient developing alpha-gal syndrome, and discussing management options and proper avoidance diet for patients with alpha-gal syndrome.
