Well , firstly I'd like to say thank you so much for taking your time to vlog for us on what you do . I really find this video and other about the admission very helpful . Thank you so so much .
Secondly , I think a lot of us here would agree that we need this kind of videos for experience purpose and to learn because we are in a pandemic therefore we can't job shadow a radiographer .
Lastly , your videos are so inspiring and helpful . Thank you for enriching our minds and equipping us with this helpful information guide . God bless you ❤
Awwww Senzokuhle 🥺❤️ this really means a lot. I am glad you find these helpful and thank you so much for watching, I really appreciate it.

And I hope you’ll love and enjoy the profession. All the best ✨♥️
woOw! The quality of your work is outstanding...
Thank you very much 😊
I went to school for this in the 80's - it's completely different now. Wish I was younger - looks like it's easier/better now! Also, there was rarely any downtime when I worked, if anything we were always pretty backed up! Looks like it's pretty chill where you work.
It definitely is much better. Morden technology has made everything easier and faster. We salute those who went through analog radiography ☢️🫡
Thank you so much. I'll be shadowing tomorrow for the first time (by a radiographer too) and this helped a lot with my nerves and to calm some of my anxiety. Looking forward to it!
I hope you enjoy your shadowing 😊

Hi ,Theo Damari i am senior radiographer in india your radiography job is very honest best of luck👍👍
Thank you so much 🙏🏾☺️
Hi there. I actually enjoyed the video a lot. I actually had my first X-Ray years ago when I was little, cause apparently my doctor told me that my head skull had a hole inside it, but thankfully it went away. And lastly, I did had another one but this time from my teeth at my dentist. You know my first time going inside an X-Ray room as a patient, well I’m usually a bit nervous sometimes cause I had a strange feeling that radiation was gonna go inside my body, causing me to get cancer, however I didn’t. So I was very much happy that I didn’t had so much radiation inside of me.
That’s really great to hear 🙂 radiography is really very nice
Indeed it is! Maybe my dream job should be a X-Ray technician or radiologist or radiographer as you can call it. :D
Thanks now I know what do I have to do for my career
I’m glad this shared a little bit of light in your path♥️ and I wish you nothing but the best as you take on this journey ❤️
Damn girl, you're fire..... 😍😍😍😍😍❤ Very very beautiful.. I have to give you that. I had to watch this video for the second time to catch your name..... only find out that we actually share a name. 🤣🤣 I'm also Theo. I'm a pharmacist myself and my sister is a radiologist just like you.
Hi Theo. Nice to know you and thank you 😊
am proud to be a Radiographer 💯

I really want to get into Diagnostic Radiograpy! My undergrad is in Occupational Therapy, but i've always wanted to be a Radiographer. The MSc is incredibly competitive though

So I am. Proud to it
Very interesting!!
So how many hours do you guys work per week and any night shifts? If yes how often?
Interesting 🥰🥰
I really like ur explanation
Thank yoooouuu very much.
Geeesh that’s a nice department. Great video Theo
Awwww 😍😍😍😍 thank you 😊
well done baby girl your video is awesome best ever watch for radiography. Thanks alot
Can you do a video of what basics we need to know before embarking on radiography degree. am willing to take the degree so want to know the basic things to prepare myself for the course thanks
I’m glad you found the video helpful ♥️♥️
I’ll work on putting it together for you 💯
Loved the informatory value of the video but it also raised a few questions.
Why do you take the pa and lat skull images with so large fov so you need to edit them? Why not directly adjust the imaging area from the tube itself? In the pa view the patient gets basically dose to thyroid and part of the lung which could be prevented with blending?
What was the babys examination purpose? Thorax, upper & lower abdomen?
Hi Theo great video. I’m looking to move back home and this has been a great insight of how you guys work over there. Which province are you in? What are your shift patterns?
I heard you say in the video that you only do plain film where you work. Does that mean in bigger hospitals do they offer options of doing plain film and also get rota’d into different modalities such as CT and MRI?
I’ve got so many questions I would like to ask you. How can I get hold of you privately please?
Sorry for bombarding you I’m just so excited 😂🤣😂
Majority of private and public hospitals have MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, theatre and Angio. It’s just a few smaller hospitals that don’t.
You can text me on IG and I’ll give you my number 😊
Where is this Radiology department? I won’t mind working here..., I’m in love with the set up
It’s in the Eastrand
Hi i would like to ask if radiographers can go into research? Thank you ❤
Great video !
Would it be a good idea to complete this program while still working full time?
How frequent you perform special procedures for an entire shift?
This is beautiful! Thanks, Theo.
That guy for the chest x-ray didn't remove his shirt?
Thank you 🙏🏾
If the patient’s clothing doesn’t have anything that will decrease the quality of the X-ray, we keep the clothes on. We sometimes use hospital gowns but sometimes they’re unavailable 😕
@@theodamari Ok.
Good video 👍🏻 it's a very accurated picture of the job, where is it by the way?
South Africa
The first image...was that a mandible X-ray or a pa skull? I saw the post-processing and you got a lot of his c-spine as well. Don't rely on post-processing tools! collimate correctly to avoid excess dose technique is everything. Also, we don't filter images lool this is not the gram or snap we window images
Hey… it was a skull, inclusive of the mandible. I’ll remember to keep a tight collimation.
😂I used the word “filter” for lack of a better non radiographic term
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hy.. loved the vid..very informative and gives a good glimpse of what the career entails
Just curious over a few things.. 1. How stressful does the job get at times 2. Do y'all work long night shifts like doctors 3. What's the salary like
An answer would be greatly appreciated 😁 thank uu
1. It does get stressful sometimes but it’s honestly doable. Nothing you can’t handle.
2. Yes, we do work nights but working hours differ from hospital to hospital, the most common one being 7pm to 7am.
@@theodamarican i ask about your. salary? is it true radiologists get paid high?
Very interesting and informative 👍 I am also professionally radiology Technologist✌
Thank you so much for watching. 💞💞

I am also joing pre registration course next month, Could you please tell me about how many pictures you have to take in a day , average ? and also how hard is it for registered international radiographers to find job after graduating
nice u r job is this 800 ma x-ray machine
Hello! I'm planning to apply to a rad tech program next year but I'm wondering if there is any blood or needles involved? Do radiographers have to use needles to insert IVs or catheters and such?
Hey... with blood, there always is blood involved. Sometimes you get trauma patients. Patients who were beaten, in car accidents, stabbed or any sort of trauma.
Depending on where you end up working, you might have to insert lines on patients in events of more complex exams where patients need contrast administration for the scan to be “clear”. ( I don’t know how else to explain it in easier terms, sorry) bottom line is, blood, catheters, IV lines and all sorts of tubes will be a part of your life as a health worker.
Hey all the branches under radiography involve those?
What is the progression for a radiographer?
This is really interesting
It's Great, so which hospital?
Which hospital is this, soo clean 👌
Can you please tell me...... I am Completed my Diploma in X-ray Technician..... And I won't to do Advance Diploma and Master's from UK .... So Which Speciality I choose... And which Speciality is demanding right know in UK....
Also how do you get your skull so perfect standing 😭😭I always have to do it seated or supine 😭
With the PA, I always let the tip of their nose touch the Bucky and for the lateral, they only turn their head and keep the rest of the body PA, well almost oblique....
