    this is the real rustic table;
    I would love to make the top oval for the table I was given, without the top,

    Just a heads up you can get hardwood inserts that arent tapered have a finer screw and made of zinc coated steel over cheap flimsy god knows what metal they use for the tapered inserts. Learnt that the hard way on river red gum

      Yeah I didn’t show it well enough, i ended up using the ones you mention in the rest of the bolt holes

    Is the reason for tinting the epoxy filler just for looks? Seems like it would be harder to fix mistakes with that dark color. Does the wood finish then adhere ok to the epoxy?
    Great work. Very impressive looking. Love the beveled edge too, sometimes it's the little things!

      Yep! You could tint it any color. Leaving it clear is fine too but often there’s tiny bubbles in it, but I prefer to look of black so it doesn’t detract from the wood. Much easier to fix mistakes too! Black CA glued fixed a lot of bubble holes here. And thank you for the kind words!!
