We kept finding we needed a folding table. This is so easy to store. czcams.com/users/postUgkxStL0QRChBju4aQlnTrRgBZvafFog0KU3 Opening and closing is easy as well. It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.
I have to say that turned out really good & a very nice present for your family. I know you all will make a lot of memories around the table 👍🏻
This man is such a nice person he doesn't keep secrets he explains everything and his is a great help
That’s an awesome gift. I was telling myself the whole time I was watching the video how hard it would be to sell something as great as that! Nice job. Love your guys’ content.
It turned out great and love that you made it for your wife! Thanks for giving Third Coast Hardwoods a shout out!
Thank you so much!
Nicely done sir. You might try using a flex shaft Dremel tool with a Kutzall burr to remove the punk wood. Also, if that doesn't go deep enough for you you can get a piece of same size steel rod and weld it to the burr shaft. You can extend the burr that way to any practical length you might want.
Beautiful table. Beautiful family. Reminds me of my wife. She would always insist on helping in projects too. Great job.
You two have the coolest job on the planet! Building art derived from nature with your hands and badass machines! Bless your baby and family.
It turned out awesome, love the voice over with the steps and how you did it, very helpful for people that are following along! Keep up the great work!!
Thank you so much Dale
It turn out beautiful ! Love how you showed the whole process including the surprise ending. Wow !! Fantastic work for sure
Thank you so much!
Saw that coming.
You are an awesome husband! What a wonderful gift to your own family. That video was amazing.
Thanks so much for this video. I have a 7x3ft. slab of maple that's been drying for 2 years. It's going to be our kitchen table and this video is a massive help. Thanks again and beautiful work.
Sweet build. You are a rockstar for making this for your wife and and your home, I love the thought you put into the the process and the tips you provide to the rest of us. Thank you for sharing this build!
Thank you. Do not reply to the scammers saying to text them.

Great job! That is a lot of work creating a table like that. Looks like Zoe loves it!
Congratulations Zoe! Great craftsmanship on table.
wow that was really unexpected & i teared up...that is such a sweet gesture from hubby to his wife.
I love how concentrated she is while you are doing the tape😂 never leave that woman, cause she really loves you 🙂 marry Christmas to you from Norway 🇳🇴
She doesn't mind sexualizing herself for the video's either...He must be so proud.
Thank you for all of the information and taking us along for the build
You bet
The table came out real nice. That was a good quality wood and table was gorgeous. Looks nice in that room too.
Love the explanation of what you did and running the names of all the companies of the tools, equipment and all other things you used. The table looks GREAT.
THANKS
Congrats to you both. The table looks so beautiful and amazing. Looks really good in your house. Great job!!!
This was a Dollar Store version of Blacktail Studios.
the best part is when you revealed who it is for. her smiles are priceless. congratulations on William's arrival.
I love black walnut. Whats not to love about this table. Great job. God bless you and your new family
ABSOLUTELY EXTRAORDINARY!!! You are a true craftsman! Perfect table & execution in every single way! WELL-DONE!!!!!!
Thank you so much
You guys rock. And you’re awesome dude for making it for your wife. You’re a great man ma man. 💪🏻😃👍
Awesome table...your family is going to make many memories with it and looks like there's room for a bigger table one day.
Thank you for this video: excellent workmanship - you Sir are a credit to the woodworking industry. Beautiful.
I'll be honest. I was expecting to skim through the video of another table build. You explain things very well and included your mistakes. I watched all of it and even hit "rewind" to make sure I got all the skill building details. Well done. Liked and subscribed. Don't change your style! And nice table!
First off, prayers up for a happy, healthy baby and that momma recovers quickly. Ya'll are an amazing couple! Thanks for sharing your experiences in woodworking, both good and (possibly) bad. Woodworking can be extremely forgiving to a point, but it is good to see a man who can admit he can do something better and continues to learn on this life's journey. Prayers up for you and yours and I look forward to seeing more "adventures" in woodworking from you folks. God bless!!
Just hope the baby won't follow the footsteps of others in the modern western civilization founded upon Judeo Christian values and become a pornstar
What a beauty..your little guy will be proud of dad..God bless my friend..great work 👏
What a beautiful table and surprise for your wife. Walnut is one of my favorite woods. Good job.
Awesome table. It just took so long that I had a feeling your wife would deliver before it's done :) congratulations on your growing family. And thanks for sharing all those tips!
This is the best comment ever.
Great job! That will be a table that'll live on long after we're all gone. Zoey looks great. Hope she does well over the next 90 days.
Thank you!!
Oh wow, I almost cry at the end. Great work, beautiful table and a very beautiful family. Much Love from Vietnam
A year ago I purchased a beautiful walnut slab from third coast and did the same build it turned out really nice, used the same process, but added the ceramic finish after the Rubio set up, it gave it extra sheen and protection. Great information, thanks.
Perfect!!! I’m applying ceramic tonight!! Thank you for the comment!
Fantastic table! Superb video and the voice over commentary was really clear and easy to listen to. Well done!! 😎👍
Thank you Andrew! We really appreciate that
It's a blessing to have a wife who isn't afraid to get out there and work. How cool it is to see Zoey kicking tail right alongside you. My wife is a go getter too. I'm so thankful for her.
It takes two to tangle
My GF is the same...she will dismantle an entire house just to paint 1 room and it will be to perfection. I often assist but honestly, she needs zero help from start to finish! 😉
God created woman to be a helper to us men. They are supposed to assist and help us. What good is a woman outside of her natural place?

The best gift is always a surprise...well done. Absolutely beautiful. I imagine the bub is already there now. Hope all went well...best wishes for the future from Brisbane, Australia.
That was awesome that you made it for your wife and she didn't even know that's that's just that brought tears to my eyes that's so awesome and I loved watching it I watched it from start to finish
Good work. Instead of grinding the table legs around the bolt holes you could use your step drill bit and drill from the other side slightly creating a small chamfer. I love to mix metal and wood in my projects.
Dang! Great tip thank you!
Quick tip, when using that router with the square/round base, use the round side along a straight edge fence. The reason is when using the flat side, you can have it lift away from the straight edge ever so slightly and it can ruin a straight line. If you keep the round side against the straight edge, you can rotate the router without losing contact with the straight edge and your line will stay true. Lovely table you have there. Good luck to you and your family.
so pretty much you going to tell this guy how to use a router lol 😂
Exactly
Very nicely done Sir! My Bride and I enjoyed watching this build and you have inspired me to rekindle the passion for the craft of woodworking.
Congrats daddy! Health and wisdom to your baby. Hope he has your talent. It’s awesome.
2 tips for you,
1 set your distances off the rounded part of yout router so if the router turns slightly your cut won't wander.
2 for router depth put the cutter down onto the surcace and put yout c channel inbetween the depth slider and one of the posts and it'll be perfectly flush.
You made a grown man tear up watching you surprise your wife with this very well done table. It’s such a good feeling to build something and have your wife not only help you, but also benefit from the fruits of your labor. Excellent job. She’s gonna decorate it real well too.
I love you Zoe
Your voiceover was very easy to listen to, and the table is a dream! Great job
Really enjoyed this video and especially how you surprised your wife. The C-channel stabilization is a great idea and I thought your fit and finish of the hardware was really nice...I keep trolling these videos and hope to make a table of my own very soon-Thanks for sharing!!
That is a beautiful table. Great job. I've built furniture before, so I know the work and skills that took.
Thank you Jeff
@@TripleLRusticDesigns wish I could send you the pics of the queen size cherry bed I made for my wife. 14th anniversary gift, 20 yrs ago.
Amazing content. Congratulations to your growing family.
Thank you very much
Sir it was worth it watching you making a piece of wood into a masterpiece great work
Amazing project. As a youth in the 70's worked twin 90 cc 96" Alaska mill making 4" redwood stump tables in Fortuna CA... Good times.
Yes Dremel !!! Glad at least 1 person has the IQ to use a quality reaming item for debarking pits and cavities ! There are many Dremel items or Dremel/Dremel-like bits that can be googled. Have said this to many woodworkers - even the woodturning/carving vid peeps. If need be, then get a local welder to weld on a longer shaft, and then abraid down the shaft to smooth surface - so no wobbling.
Just my peeve - is filling voids with black epoxy when the cavity is big enough to pour clear and be able to see the burly wood surface and texture, while cracks and splits would be blacked.
Great job guys... Love the table! Trey you are a pro
Thanks Mike!
What a wonderful surprise! It looks like she is going to surprise you soon! Beautifully done with tutorial!
You all did great job. The table is very very good but.......
What was even better was the surprise gift to your wife. That really touched me.
Might be your best video yet , you have come a long way . Good work
Thank you Robin! Many more build videos to come
I see the C channels have elongated holes to allow for shrinking and expansion, but the crossed table legs don't, this will cause the table top to crack over time as the legs screwed to the bottom of the bottom of the table in that way will restrict expansion and shrinkage. In short for longevity of original form, the table legs also need elongated holes too
I do not know about you guys but that looks like a pretty expensive table and I am going to assume you will keep it inside your climate controlled home. If it was properly sealed and finished there should be minimal expansion or contraction.
Awesome work! I live in St Augustine and love to wood work and epoxy. I used those same legs on my table for my wife. Good luck
Thank you for this wonderful and beautiful table and for your kind work .. and even for your kind of style of choice ... And congratulations to you and your wife on your child. thank you for video
Good looking table. Been wanting to do something similar for myself.
Heck yeah! If you have any questions just shoot me an email!
Idk if anyone said it but I use the Dremel flex shaft and it helps with the bit depth bc it can get into tighter places than the actual Dremel. Good luck🤞
True that... sometimes you can find a little longer bit as well, but always good to check it first. The right tool for the job is so important.
Sir , You've done a amazing work on that project. I wish I could afford one myself. I don't know jack about wood working. Bless yall again !
WOW! What an awesome build. You did a great job. Beautiful. Your wife looks very happy being the customer it was delivered to. LOL. Thanks for the video.
BEAUTIFUL WORK
Thanks Jeff
You could try a flex shaft on the dermal if yours allows it for the void
Thank you!
Gorgeous wood…looks great with those chairs…well done. Congrats on the new one.
A beautiful table, and enjoyed the surprise ending. Thanks for sharing.
He’ll yeah I been waiting for a black walnut video
Awesome thanks!
What would really look good to go with the table is some chairs to match it
I was thinking the same thing! 😊
I don't have enough skills to make some black walnut chairs. Would look great though
Hi guys ☺, realy nice table, a nice surprise for Zoey, the look on her face was a treat. I send you both my best wishe's for the arrival of the little one, things are going to get lively around your house, it's a special time enjoy it, look after yourselves, stay safe, best wishe's to all, Stuart Uk.
What a magnificent slab of wood! Beautiful!
You might try a whip extension for the Dremel. It will let you be holding a roughly pencil sized end to fit better in tight places.
What I was going to say - hang the motor over the work, and get a foot switch as well.
Great video, keep ‘em coming.
Thanks, will do!
Now that is some quality woodworking. Awesome job I just wish I could get my hands on a few of them slabs myself
Congratz on the family dude. It's the best thing you'll ever do.
Awesome job! I like this style video a lot. You guys should do more of it. Also not to sound rude at all but I think you guys need a good woodworking workbench. That would be a great video series to have you guys build a nice bench out of timber you milled. Just a thought. Thanks again
Thank you Brian! These are the style videos I’ve always wanted to make. It’s just been a long road to get to having a nice air conditioned shop with good lighting to work in like we have now. Many more videos to come! Thank you for the support
@@TripleLRusticDesigns of course!! You guys keep up the great work!!
The table looks great! I just wonder if a couple Bow-Ties across the splits would be a good precaution.
Good question! The epoxy down in the crack will keep everything bonded together. Also the C-Channel underneath the slab will also ensure the slab can't crack apart.
I used a Dremel and had the same issue of not being long enough to reach. Since it was wood I took a 1/8" stainless arc welding rod, knocked off all the flux, heated and flattened the end. Worked for me just fine, have also used it in a drill to drill holes in various situations where a drill bit wasn't long enough.
What a gorgeous table! Wow!!!
I’m thinking a carving bit that fits into a flexible arm from a drill press. We use them for duck decoys. They are longer and easy to control.
That may work! I'll look into that
@@TripleLRusticDesigns it does great detail work, it’s speed is easily controlled. Let me see if I can get a link for you
Dremell have a flexi line extender it might help you get a little bit deeper
Thank you!
I love man beautiful table. I learned a few tricks too. Thanks for the video brother and God bless your family.
Wow, what a way to make some great points with Zoe. The grain of the slab sure stands out and makes a great piece to show off your business.
Table looks great. How about an update on all the trees you planted at your house?
Yeah we need to do an update. We have some trees that are 6ft tall now and some are still 10-12" tall. Crazy differences in them
@@TripleLRusticDesigns
Sounds good.
Looks great! Good job!
Thank you! Cheers!

Great job. And thanks for sharing this video with us all. And enjoy your dad part of life. It's a great experience believe me.
Great job !!
Glad you liked it!
This was a great learning video and that table is totally awesome!
Bonus was seeing Zoey's reaction to finding out it was for your own house plus appears Zoey is doing great! Only a few more months a little munchikin will be keeping Dad & Mom quite busy I am sure.... Thank You! For Zoey and the little one in particular - Take Care & Stay Well! 😊
Thank you for the kind comment! We appreciate it!
@@TripleLRusticDesigns ??????????????????
Amazing suprise on this table being For the Wife Great work All she had no idea she was working on her Own Table that was smooth bro
I watch your channel from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 . You guys do awesome work! Congratulations on the baby!
When you drill out the screw holes of the channel stand - why not use a drill collar (ring with hex nut) so that you never have to worry about depth when you have properly set the depth of the drill.
That is a great idea. I will steal the one off my Kreg Jig bit and see if that works. Thank you
@@TripleLRusticDesigns Also, for digging out knots and inclusions, a dremel is a toy, not a tool. Get your hands on an electric die grinder. Carbide burrs come in all shapes and sizes.
@@jimmyb1451 That's a game changer. I just looked it up. He could use a cordless drill with those bits as well I think.
@@grill_in_da_kat A cordless would sort of work. Not really fast enough for the burrs to cut properly though.
Also, generally, putting burrs and mills into a three jaw chuck is a very bad idea. The radial loads rattle them loose and they end up flying across your workshop.
That said, I've done it before lol.
Is'nt Super Fine smoother than Very Fine?
I have no clue. They should have made it less confusing. 1-5 would have been better
That was a real nice thing to do for your wife, Kudos to to you my good man.
that table is SO beautiful, congrats on such a great job, really enjoyed this video
I've been a tradesman for over 20 years and I'd say you still have room for improvement on your excepting of mistakes you've made on this job. It's called having integrity. It does not matter if it's under the table out of sight. You saw it! Do better!
You’re right. I’m burning the table as we speak and will start over.
Funny criticizing someone else when you say excepting when you mean accepting.
Do you honestly think that the table is worth $5000.00 dollars? I don't think so..
I mean it's a nice table and all but there's nothing fancy about it. Fancy joinery or ornateness or something...not trying to sound like a hater or nothing 🤔
@@ruskell100 how often do you cross walnut slabs this size!?
Absolutely Beautiful!
Although your work on this table far exceeds anything I could do, I sincerely advise you to watch "Blacktail Studio" before you start making things like this for your customers. I would personally be very disappointed in the C channel inserts and the fact that the cuts are not perfect. As a customer paying for a slab of wood like that I would expect perfection at every level. Great job though overall and GL in the future.
Been subscribed to BlackTail Studio for many years now. Thank you
A proper table this size and black walnut would be double the cost so they maybe got their money's worth......
Do you expect more from people who can hardly handle their big saw, and actually make a video with chain on backwards
Oh my goodness after the oil on the bottom them colors and Patterns are gorgeous in this black Walnut slab
what a beautiful table and I love the chairs with it.
