As a mother and grandmother this really touches my heart to see the incredible skills and patience of Mr Petherick teaching young Yannis . He is learning so many things and acquiring so many skills that he can use throughout his lifetime. Wonderful! Simon that cabinet you fashioned with the access panel was perfection ! We recently put in a new kitchen and had to create a similar panel. My husband built the entire kitchen as we started 3/2020 and due to the pandemic couldn’t have people in our house. I will show him he will really appreciate your craftsmanship. This is his 70th time around the sun . Billy you are doing a fantastic job and your very blessed to have such a great team , but I think you know that.

Someone WILL cook in that thing, some day. So might as well fix it right, now.
Our retreat center had an exhaust vent clean once a month; & we were a vegetarian kitchen.
In town, an over one-hundred year old building burned to the ground, when their meat-cooking stove vent-a-hood caught on fire, then caught the "between the floor" area up above on fire. That place hadn't cleaned their vent in ages. 😢

Only Billy would build a kitchen with expensive appliances that will rarely (if ever) be used. Quite the space for a coffee machine and microwave. The kitchen triangle is dysfunctional, but I would give it a go. Chicken alfredo? Beef pot roast? Pot of jambalaya? Bake some fabulous desserts, pour the wine, and crack on! Get a dining area finished, Billy.

As much as I’ve grown to love this crew, and as much as I love the look of this kitchen, I’m in agreement about the "cookability" of the layout. It’s drop dead gorgeous but not very functional. I’d need some rollerskates to get around from the fridge to the sink to the range and over to the cabinets for pots and pans. Maybe the big island will help as a staging space. I’m just not used to everything spread out when I’m making a meal…don’t hate me for wondering about the whys. I’m very supportive of this project and I thoroughly appreciate everyone involved. Just hoping you don’t have any regrets.

Not functional at all which doesn’t make sense to me. Wouldn’t be able to drain pasta or get things from the fridge without a lot of distance to a sink. Not sure why it’s placed like that, just for appearance I guess. But as a professional it looks odd and wouldn’t be nice to have to actually cook in.

Love you guys!! I came across your channel a few months ago and have watched every video, It is simply amazing what you have done and thank you for so many womderful videos. Everything you are doing is way beyond first class. I look forward to each days things you are doing.. One thing I noticed today was Billie in the kitchen explaining how far the new coffee machine was from the refridge to. get milk. I was thinking with all those cabinets you are installing in the kitchen they must be a space in one of the cabinets close to the coffee machine where you could install a small refridge to store milk for the coffee, just a thought All the people who are helping do the remodel are wonderful and they seem to be content working there, Just a thought, I haven't seen Michael on the videos since the installation of the organ in the chapel was finished, I hope he is well and as you guys say, Crack on....

Oh, hey, pro- tip on cleaning extraction vent filters, even bar & grill ones: those square pieces can be taken to the (manual) car wash, Just clip them up where the car mat clips are.
    Or pressure wash them.

A suggestion I hope you don't mind. Between the dining room and the kitchen in the area you are calling the reception area (I think) could be a butlers pantry, it would make serving guests so much easier. Then using the original reception area as the the reception as it will give a grand entrance feel between the library and the chapel.

I watch many many many CZcams channels, and I have to say, this one has turned out to be one of my favorites, if not, my all-time favorite. The content is great, and all of the members of the “Crack On” family are wonderful. One of the most crucial and probably overlooked and unappreciated aspect of the Pethericks videos of is the production aspect. Alex needs a big pat on the back. The video quality and composition of each episode is better than any Hollywood production. Cheers
