It's a massive room and it started as a complete mess... so you have come a very long way in 13 months... and of course you had other things going on as well... you put that bell in the tower... you worked on the hallway... the back garden area... made a ton of discoveries... moved an organ and reassembled it ... and so much more in those 13 months as well as took care of your Chateau... Never sell yourself short Billy. I'm so happy that they Hospital has reached out to give those things back to the convent. The items are coming home.

The kitchen is first class and worth every penny. Perhaps you should consider a fundraiser for the library. Buy a book and get a nameplate in it. Michael could design the nameplate for you. Something similar to Stephanie’s stars. The return of items originating from the convent is fantastic. Crack on!🙏❤️

The Statues would be well displayed on top of a wooden pedestal for each one. You certainly could craft one from some of the lovely timber you have removed from various areas. The chapel was deconsecrated, but perhaps not the figures and the small Altar. By doing this, they wanted to preserve those items from the profane, and retain their sacred context.🖤🇨🇦
Absolutely FANTASTIC now that the cupboard had been covered over and the first coat of paint has added to the elegance of the room and symmetry - VERY WELL DONE. Also so glad to learn that the cabinets will be built right upto the 'new' wall - what amazing dramatic and further elegance they will add to the room. Great vision & decision making plus craftsmanship by all involved.👌
Watching Simon's steady hand on the trowel was special; his mastery of the "flat wall" is huge. I was not a "wall guy", but a plumber, but I have seen a only a few wall finishers pull that off with out a day long sanding process, as it looked Simon did here- and he used one thin layer after he had it flat with a few places back to the paper. You wouldn't think mixing plaster would be a master craftsman's job, but Simon even helped your "power man", Yannis, get that chore done as well. It was obvious your camera guy became quite focused on what Simon was doing- tell him an old construction dog said thanks!

The kitchen will help pay for itself as you are able to utilize the space for events/activities. Of course that will be a ways down the road, but eventually. In the mean time you have created a masterpiece as well has preserved some historical aspects of the convent. I can imagine a time when a lot of dedicated nuns were working in that kitchen making meals, bread,and cheese. Preserving the vegetables and fruits from the garden and orchard. Perhaps a priest or two making beer and wine for the cellar😀 The energies from the past souls who resided there over the last centuries must be all around you as you work.
