    "I no longer feel things
    I know I should"
A tribute to all the ring bearers in Middle Earth.
The focus is obviously on Frodo & Bilbo, but I've also included Smeagol and Sam as they too carried the burden.
This song suits these two so much, it perfectly conveys the struggle and fight against the constant power of the ring.
    Please enjoy.

Frodo & Bilbo deserved so much better. & Smeagol would've had a very different life if he'd never encountered the ring.
Sam is also included in this - he was a ring bearer too, granted it was only a short time - but he took the burden whilst he thought it was his to carry.
Let me know your thoughts on my tribute to their struggles!

I think this sums up why The Hobbit and LotR are ultimately sad stories. Like yeah, there's humor and adventure and heroes, but none of that is the point. The point is that it doesn't matter how good or innocent or happy you are, life will take you up and crush you and take everything from you and there's nothing you can do about it. Aaand now I'm crying. Beautiful work, as always.

    • @ohifonlyx33
      @ohifonlyx33 Před rokem +10

Not entirely. The point is more along the lines of making a sacrifice. It's not that life is cruel. Goodness can prevail over darkness, if you will fight for it. The smallest of people doing the smallest acts of kindness is worthwhile, not merely because you wish to live a happy life for yourself, but because you want others to share in a better life. But everything comes at a cost.
"It must often be so, Sam, when things are in danger: someone has to give them up, lose them, so that others may keep them."
Frodo sacrificed the life he knew so that those in Middle Earth could have a peaceful life... but he was also honored to sail to the Undying Lands where his hurts would be healed. Even though it meant leaving the Shire and his friends, he would be happier. It's bittersweet, but so is life... we lose our innocence, part with loved ones, and eventually, life will end... but life goes on anew. Our part is not to fear the Goodbye, the ending, or to cling to what was lost... but to leave the world having done our part to defend goodness, edify others, and create new life. It leaves us feeling that our small place in a grand sense of eternity still matters because someone somewhere sacrificed something so that we could be here... And that's what makes the ending linger in our minds so long.
Not to mention the way these themes actually tie into Christianity. For instance the hope we have in Christ of a new life, free from the burdens of the old life or the sacrifices Jesus made for us and the Sacrifices He calls upon us to make for Him...

I can't imagine what they must be been through. Not just Frodo and Bilbo, but Sam too. In my opinion, this edit shows a part of their emotions they've never been able to share with anyone. The pain they've been through. This edit sure made me shed some tears🥺. Such an amazing edit. It got me right here in the feels😍🤗

It's so sad that even after the ring was destroyed, it could still affect them so much, like when Bilbo asks Frodo to see it again before sailing away. It's like they're changed forever, almost like a mental illness.

Oh goodness, I've been looking forward to this ever since your announcement - I thought it would be interesting to see where you took it and how it played out. I usually leave quite long comments, but honestly, I'm not sure what to say this time. This was so beautiful and sad that it just sort of left me in blank thought for a while. I loved the inclusions of Sam and Smeagol, I feel like the latter especially is often criticised or forgotten amongst the LOTR fans, when he really is one of the most complex, tragic characters in the story. You have such a wonderful awareness of emotions and how to invoke just the reaction you need out of your viewers for it to be powerful and memorable. Wonderful as always :)

Since I watched and enjoyed Rings of Power I am completely back in Middelearth and having big time fun watching LotR videos here on CZcams. So please keep going! :D
Besides I will never stop being in awe over the greatness of this whole universe. Just created with the genius brain of one dude.
Middleearth will forever be somewhat of a comfort space for me because when I watch the movies I got the weird feeling that I can connect with my dead father and the one late brother of my two younger brothers. (Cancer is a bitch.)
We all were and are quite a musical family which makes these movies so strong because my Dad and me could even play some parts of it in a concert of the city orchestra of my hometown years ago. So I always think about fond memories and I like that really really much.

& this is a problem I've actually been trying to fix for ages, I can't seem to figure out what it is I'm doing wrong no matter how many videos I watch. Its got a bit better (for a while I didn't know how to centralize all the transitions) but this problem of them going out the frame has been an issue I can't seem to solve. Do you use vegas? is there a particular video you could recommend for me to watch? & Thank you for the advise - always appreciate the help!

And here is about rendering settings: czcams.com/video/4miuS5qZE4k/video.html&ab_channel=ScrapyardFilms
I don't remember how I figured out stuff myself, but I can add some tips as well: in project video properties it's best to set up the same resolution as the source material, if you want widescrean. So, say, for me, The Hobbit has resolution 1280 x 534. And it's important to make sure that the resolution on the project video properties and final rendering settings match. I hope this helps!
