I've worked out on traditional heavy bags czcams.com/users/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.
hey, how do you like this punching bag after 7 months? I am thinking of buying 1 for my backyard outside. How heavy is the bag itself? I need to take the top off and put it home when im not using it, so I can protect it from the rain.
Great review, and nicely presented. It is also even better as you clearly are trained, and have good technique, so seeing the bag not skid across the yard after you connect with a spinning back kick, tells me that it really is a sturdy stable piece of kit. I'll make a follow up video on this bag soon showing all the pro's and cons.
Thank you Rookie.
@@ilovefighting348 Very interesting... Comments i'm now sponsored by RDX and have a KARA Coming once back in stock.. I was wondering if it was better than the century Torrent! In My Kickboxing Academies we use Century Torrent! t1 and t2 🟥
That's awesome bro... Let me know when you wanna learn how to work the bag at another level! Go 6, 8 or 10 rounds with correct technique... >> combatfit.tv i'm ready to be in your corner... 🥊 Paul the Boxing Trainer!
Great Video you sold me.
Thinking I might get into sells. 😂. Thank you bri bri.
Is this the rdx kara or the rdx ronin?? Looking to buy one but seems there are two very similar bags on their site. The kara doesnt show any of the targets on the bag on the website but the ronin does... edit: just checked the rdx website..the Kara doesnt have the same pattern as this bag. The Ronin does..im guessing this is the Ronin?
Yeah your right, 100% correct its the ronin. apologies.
Great review buddy I've been on the RDX website but can't find it where did you buy it.
Sadly it's been discontinued.
Water will freeze in winter if it’s outside is this an outdoor bag
depends on where you live I guess. London ain't that cold
Keep practice left kick . Btw thanks for great reviews
Working on it sensei, been watching Buakaw fights.
good combos bro
cheers bro
Can you drain the water out if you wanna move the bag?
you can but it's kinda a pain in the butt. you have to undo the screws.
Thanx Bruh RDX need's to endorse you.
Bought this after seeing your review. Quite surprised how good it is and it stands up to some heavy shots. Just don’t teep it!!
I find teeping the bag kinda annoying. Because it ends up moving to the other side of my garden. Glad you're enjoying the bag.
@@ilovefighting348 what is teeping?
@@ilovefighting348 that or it spins around if you’re off centre 😂
@@nikanredjamand5323 push kick mate.
Is there a link for this, or did I miss it? I'm looking on Amazon and I'm not finding it at all.
Nvm, went to the main site, and it's sold out there too. Great review btw!
What’s the weight of the bag?
Can you send me the link can’t find it on amazon
Do you have a link for this bag?
Thanks for the video!
Sorry Lynda the bag is sold out at the moment.
How solid is this bag? Does it actually firm a solid punch and still stay standing?
depends on the move you use on the bag and how heavy you are/ how hard you hit.
What do you think about your old punching bag ? The black and white one , yeah thanks
It's pretty good, not the best if you're using water to fill it up with tho. I would suggest the black and white punch bag if you're a boxer and you are on the lighter side in terms of weight or on a budget. Not the best if you're a kickboxer or if you're a bigger guy.
@@ilovefighting348 I weight around 180lbs and I am a kickboxing lol 😂 thanks so much for your advice
@@kevintvs379 I've had many bags, and this one is the best one i've found for heavy hits, the smaller ones are great, but lack in the durability
What’s the link for it?
I’m going to buy this bag. I don’t have a garage but a drive way where I can train with it . I would rather have a hanging heavy bag. But the thing I like about this bag is I can take it off and put it in my house just in case it rains outside
also get a bike cover to protect the base from rust. You'll see what I mean in my next video.
@@ilovefighting348 got it! Thanks for the advice . How’s your training been?
The best free-standing bag out there is the Fairtex free-standing hb14 bag indestructible barley moves !!!
Would this be good/suitable on a carpet in a smallish room for a 13 year old?
It will most likely it would be ok, but wouldn't I suggest using water to weigh the base down. Best bet would be sand, but don't fill it to much with sand as it will be hard to move.
@@ilovefighting348 ok! Thanks it helped alot as I might get one of these or a similar one in the future 👍🥊👊
Can you add link I can’t find one of these bags with the water or sand hole in the middle only on the sow thanks
sorry they don't make them any more.
rdxsports.co.uk/f6-6ft-kara-blue-free-standing-punch-bag-with-mitts-set/
In addition to sand or water filling. If you buy 4 sand bags and prop them against the base ( on all sides) this thing aint moving.
It's been 2months since having the bag how is it holding up?
I'm making the follow up video now.
omg it stays in place !
does for the most part just not with TEEEEPPS.
Got a link for this bag? I can't seem to find it on amazon
Mr Bushido where do you live?
Thanks mate. Sadly i can't find it to buy anywhere
It's sold out everywhere and I think they discontinued the bag.
Would it slide if you do power punches
Doesn't slide or move much with power punches but does so with kicks.
whats it looking like now a year later stil in good condition??
Bag is in good condition but the bolts are rusty as hell. keep indoor like a garage to avoid this or use a cover for the base.
Just curious how the lower portion of padding does for the low kicks, are you gonna shatter your shin if you try to do low kicks on it?
nah, the padding around the metal is really good, if you can still get it.
