In our last bag comparison video y’all were throwing a lot of shade in the comments -- CLICK TO WATCH: • Which punching bag sho... -- so this time we want to put all of these excuses to rest. Boxing heavy-hitters Mike Rashid, Coach PJ, and Flo Master each got 1 minute to destroy these three free-standing heavy bags.
This is legit! All of the bags are filled to the brim with sand + water. Each bag is positioned within a tapped off square to measure how far it travels. Each boxer gets the same amount of time with each bag and rest in-between to reset.

We tested three (3) free-standing punching bags that are on the market today to decide which is the BEST punching bag for at-home boxing workouts:
◦ Everlast Elite Series
◦ FightCamp Bag
◦ Everlast Powercore
These heavy bags were tested by three (3) boxers:
◦ Flo Master (@flomaster73): Lifetime martial artist & professional dancer
◦ Coach PJ (@trainwithPJ): Heavyweight boxer
◦ Mike Rashid (@mikerashid): Heavyweight boxer
These heavy bags were evaluated on four (4) different performance factors following a one-minute intense boxing and kickboxing workout consisting of boxing punch combinations and kickboxing moves.
BAG PERFORMANCE FACTORS
◦ Distance Traveled: How much does the bag move when you hit it?
◦ Noise: How much noise does it make when you hit it?
◦ Tilt: How much does it tilt when you hit it?
◦ Feel: How does it feel when you hit it?
THE RESULTS
Everlast Elite Free-Standing Heavy Bag
◦ Distance Traveled: 32”; 54”; 27”
◦ Noise: Could hear the impacts of both punches and kicks and was fairly loud compared to some other bags; with stronger impacts, the base would lift off of the ground and slam back down
◦ Tilt: Tilted a bit when hit and almost tipped over during a few hard punches; base lifted off of the ground as well
◦ Feel: Did not feel very sturdy since it moved so much during testing; had significant “drop down” and fell down on its retaining pole during testing; only padded at the top making it difficult for kickboxing combinations and low kicks; cannot extend to proper training height for taller boxers
FightCamp Standing Punching Bag
◦ Distance Traveled: 0”; 0”; 0”
◦ Noise: There is some impact noise when kicked and punched, but the base did not lift off of the floor during testing
◦ Tilt: Did not appear to tilt much at all
◦ Feel: Felt very sturdy and stable, likely due to the base ring; large amount of training surface area; great for both punching workouts and kickboxing combinations; good shock absorption and cushion which helps for injury prevention
Everlast Powercore Free-Standing Heavy Bag
◦ Distance Traveled: 24”; 21”; 36”
◦ Noise: Could hear impacts of both punches and kicks and was fairly loud compared to some other bags, however, the spring action did lessen some of the noise; with stronger impacts, the base would lift off of the ground and slam back down
◦ Tilt: Tilted a bit when contact was made, but sprang back quickly; base of the bag would lift off of the ground
◦ Feel: Despite the base being substantial and holding a lot of sand, the bag still moved when kicked and punched; only padded at the top and the plastic portion on the bottom makes it unsafe for kickboxing workouts; bag lock system was not effective and did not adequately secure the top to the base as Coach PJ knocked the bag off of its retaining pole performing uppercuts during testing

I like the attempt but it could have been better. For one, comparing your bag with similar bags in weight/size would be an obvious no-brainer thing to test and comparing bags of the same price tag would also be quite neat, I bet the quality between a few hundred dollars punching bag vs one worth over 1 fricking thousand would be quite astronomical.

As someone who actually has the bag, put 250 lbs of sand in the bag (which is less than the max recommended by fightcamp) I can say it doesn't move much only slightly when my husband goes ham. We will eventually get the rest of the sand in there but for now it's pretty great. I think all the bags have pros and cons including the fightcamp one. It's best to choose what works for you.
Also these aren't actors they are fighters and pretty great coaches.

Looks like a great bag. Since I box mainly to workout I just got a $175 Century wave master and it’s been great for what I need it for. BUT I’d def grab this bag if it was in my budget lol looks great in all areas. Salute to you guys

Put this up against the century wavemaster xxl or the century torrent t2 pro and you'll have dramatically different results. You guys are comparing apples and oranges.
I just bought my 14 yr old son an Everlast Elite Cause he's been putting in time at the boxing gym.. kid loves boxing. I just wasted 150 bucks. It moves everywhere and water even leaks out of it when he hits it. He's had it for 1 day only. I can still hear him hitting it tho. Lol

How come you guys didn’t test the Everlast Pro Everflex Freestanding Punch Bag which is closer comparison to the fightcamp bag?
They wanted their bag to be the biggest peen.
I'd be going with the fight camp either way, I don't have a place to hang a bag, and the other ones are too small to throw low kicks, it's a bonus that these guys 2 times bigger than me can't move it

As somebody who actually owns and uses an Everlast Powercore bag (the third one, in gray), I can confirm that it’s really not a good heavy bag at all. The one thing I will say about their comparison, though, is that the plastic piece that was inside the bag and slots into the grooves on the cylinder attached to the base didn’t seem to be securely in the bag with the rest of the foam it’s filled with (which is why it fell apart), and they should’ve locked it in place as low as they could’ve to make the whole thing more stable (even though it makes it shorter, which is another problem). That being said, I take all the precautions I can to make sure my Everlast Powercore bag is performing as well as it can and I still have to admit that it’s just useless.

100% seems like the better bag, only problem I have is it doesn't come with the ring at the bottom like its stated in the video. From what I can see it's a $99 upgrade. I'm on the fence and that extra $99 is why. Definitely needs the ring from all the videos I watched but great video demonstration you can really see how sturdy it is compared to the others

Yeah, you can get freestanding bags that don’t move but expect to pay at 1k for them.
Or you can buy a cheap free stander for a $200 or so and it will move a little.

I have a century wave master from Amazon. With water it was too light, so I used pebbles instead. It's pretty fun to hit

We put 250, which is slightly less than the max recommended, of sand in the punching bag and it doesn't move. We would have done water but we were worried about it leaking water potentially, it doesn't move.

Does the magical bag ring come with the bags or is that a separate purchase? I still think the whole thing is way overpriced, especially when you think about just the tracker + wraps are $440, like my high end GPS Suunto watch cost less than that, idk what's in that tech but it's not worth $400+. Then $40/mo on top for classes? I wish peloton didn't start this ridiculous trend of overpriced home workouts.

I got mine fight camp but my issue it’s filling it up with sand ,my local Home Depot is more 40 blocks away from where I live and it’s a pain in the ass to buy dry sand

It's not the bag, it's the design of the bag's base and how it diffuses the force of the punches and kicks so as to not allow the whole bag assembly to move. Nice design but if its cost is 1200 as someone has noted below...that's kind of high.

Guys, good video. But you need to mention you used an anti sliding ring, which on your website costs 99$ more. And in the video it appears to be using that ring. It would be nice to test without that ring first. So it is sturdy only because of that ring.
The fight camp is the same bag which is from century torrent t2 pro. Why u guys dont compare this with the cebtury xxl wavenaster.

Start off by saying hands down I think your bag is the best and your videos are very good but that first bag held up pretty good for a $200 bag all you have to do is put it on a rubber mat and It won’t move around as much. Nowhere near as good as your bag but for $200 compared to $1200. Everlast bag is similar to the wave master bags that are used in Dojo’s and gyms around the world for years they’re not ideal but they work OK and are inexpensive.
A few things. First, I agree it did hold up not too bad. But it was on a rubber mat. That floor is the same as the mat that comes with fightcamp. Also, our entire system, including the technology is $1200, not just the bag of course. Finally, though I agree it’s an ok option, it’s also not great for kickboxing (a large % of our customers) as the pad does not extend down enough for low kicks. All in all, I was happy we had that one for the review!

Reviews help people starting out and people trying to get back into the sport from waisting money just to be frustrated with the product they chose so yeah money an time lol after all time is money . You forgot to mention the price difference of each bag

I would compare this to a century wave master or the 2xl way better in terms of performance and not a quarter as expensive also how tf do you declare it is the best bag on the market whilst you haven’t even tried most actually competent bags

You used the two cheapest standing bags you can get should have brought in the ringside and century elite they still cost 1/4-1/3 of what this does but I bet they are really comparable in every way accept being over priced.
