    One thing comes to mind here...."The proof is in the pudding"... This formula works on every genre of band folks. Great video HCMS! I think this is the ultimate climax that can and should happen with an online teacher who has been teaching and promoting their techniques. If you have the cash and can get the full stack producer, it's going to fill in the blanks, and be worth every penny if you apply yourself to it. This was a pleasure to watch.

    I realize this is like a highlights reel of a few days - but I'm curious, on average, how many takes these guys were taking ..? At one point the guitarist plays a higher arpeggio-type riff and breathes out like it took a lot of work, but it looked like he just aced one take .. Asking as I've done production work for a long time, but in a smaller community so "preparedness" always comes into question and I'm curious about normal expectations

    • @metaldeadman2441
      @metaldeadman2441 Před měsícem +2

      we went through a lot of different iterations on how we wanted that lead played, so there were a lot of takes just figuring out things like which notes should be palm muted, are we pedaling the root note between arpegiations, stuff like that.
      Once that was decided, it was a few takes to get clean. It’s not a super difficult lead, but it’s not a lead that’s easily broken down into smaller chunks so he had to get the whole part in one clean take so it did take a little bit.

      It literally is, it’s just a highlight reel from the 3 days we spent with him. I’m the original producer, we handed it off to him and he took over for those 3 days, filling what would typically be my role; changing parts, picking source tones, deciding what can be done to level up the song.
      This is a 20min snapshot of a 36hr process. They filmed quite literally all of it, I’m sure there will be more detailed videos to come.

    It's weird to watch guys on their 50s singing like girls and making gay teenage music like pop punk

      lol - 'gay teenage music' chill dude. let people do what they want. you know the biggest power buyers in the states are kids. if they are trying to make pop music, it's supposed to be popular. pay more attention to the techniques and the ways in which they are constructing things. doesn't matter what music they're making. there is quality production, and there is amateur production. what kind of music do you have to share? I can share some with you and we can exchange constructive notes if you'd like to add something constructive to the conversation?

      I'm over 50s and I still love "gay teenage pop punk" tunes... alongside kickass metalcore, death metal, trash metal, Black metal, Viking metal... and the most agressive songs you would ever think of. Curious to listen to the stuff you're producing man. Sad comment my friend. Next time keep it for yourself.

      I wasn't aware there are age limits on musical styles and taste. Hmmm

      I personally don't mind pop punk and these guys seem alright but this comment made me laugh.
