The mother and son were both using their hand to block out the light shining in their eyes, but the light still shined in their eyes. Their hands offered more of a modern military salute than shade.

There are lots of mistakes and goofs in Kubrick's Spartacus - in one scene where the Romans and gladiators are fighting in the open, you can see a modern pick-up van driving along a road on the mountain in the background! :) Also,, a suspiciously modern-looking wall map of Italy in one scene.

I can’t remember which battle but in Braveheart I used to rewind a clip of a very half hearted fight between two soldiers. It’s like they were practicing not realising the scene was actually being filmed.

A massive mistake from Gladiator is the arrows have been fired into the Germanian barbarians before the battle has even started, they are even sticking out of their shields and the trees.

The most glaring mistake in 'The Knowing' is the fact that anyone survived the initial impact of the aircraft.
Easy, Brave Heart and Gladiator were historical events. Future humans used a time machine to come back and watch the creation of them. Same way there is a picture of a guy with a camera, printed shirts and a sun glasses in a 1940s picture at the South Fork Bridge 😂😂

The mistake with mother and son is, initially when mother was coming close to son the sun is from right side, the shade was left side, but when the camera was close the sun shine is in front of them.

The armpit one I think is that for some apparent reason, people knew the deadliest part of your body that can kill you is in the armpit.
A couple of other mistakes (bloopers) in Gladiator is after the initial battle, in the camp, there is a brief moment when you can see a crew member in T- shirt and blue jeans by the horses. Another one is in the arena when one of the chariots flips over, you can briefly see the compressed air tank that assists in the toppling of the chariot.

In Indiana Jones, the classic bad guy eats the fly that goes into his mouth. It went right in but he just kept his lines not missing a beat.
This is pretty great!! The mother and son scene, they are shielding their eyes from the sun, but there is no shadow on their faces below their hands. That is my take anyway.
The "non-contact combat" as in Batman is definitely visible in most older films (pre-1990s), and those usually also include the typical fake classic punch sound. But this video definitely reinforces the fact that it's incredibly difficult to get every detail right!
In The Godfather the scene were Sonny Corleone is beating his brother in law up he clearly missing some punches.
That was form the serie and one move I think. They butcher batman and made a comedy, colors where all wrong, acting was wrong, etc.

Most are no errors at all … as soon as you must pause going frame by frame its not the way the movie is supposed to be watched and actually discloses how certain tricks work … and catches stuff eg extras that otherwise would not be caught … in many other cases its simply imagination thats needed … eg mum and kid shit in blocking the sun … can happen … an out of character dressed guy in Indy … not impossible at the time … thats where the time traveller pics originated … simply someone not going with the regular flow … and … not everything must happen on screen … characters can do minor stuff whilst not in the focus if the cam.
But you do have time to watch youtube videos about things you don't have time for... LoL

aboctok If the sun is closer to being right above you, your hand would be higher up, but if it's closer, or behind whatever you're trying to see, then you would lower them closer to your eyes. Their hands didn't really cast a shadow. I don't think it was enough sun to warrant any hand gesture at all.

You know, it makes perfect sense that the guy fell over in The Dark Knight Rises. Maybe he got scared and jumped back a bit. Also when the guy was bleeding "after a month" he might've scratched the scab or got cut again.
You forgot to talk about the guy in Jeans and sweater in gladiator around min12 into the movie when he is about to get a horse from the stables and before they show the future emperor training. Lol.

If you haven't notice yet in alien 2, at end. It's when the robot "bishop" is cutted in half and try to help when the ship started to lose oxygen.
You can see the entire hole on the ground to let the actor stretching his back to send his hand to help
