Jason, I believe your experience is bouyed by being able to speak Spanish. A non-Spanish speaker would have considerable more risk.
Boyle Heights, South Central, not even downtown are as clean or hospitable.
I love Mexico...so underrated. What I always notice is the people are very friendly and happy.
Some of the best sales people work, the front line
So why do millions of people risk their lives to get out?
@@policeping not all of the immigrants coming across are Mexican natives. In fact most are refugees from central and and South American countries that are even worse off than Mexico. As well as other countries like china and Russia and many many more.
@@policeping ppl do the same here but they go legally. Alota ppl are leaving
@@policepingIn the case of Mexicans leaving...many are men looking to work, make money, and then go back to Mexico. No doubt the standard of living is higher in the US, more opportunity, but more problems too. Many coming over the border are from South American countries where things are much worse.
The difference in how the businesses in Mexico invite you to look around, compared to the ones in the US that come out and tell you to leave is striking.
The difference is he wasn’t camped in front of the businesses, he was moving, quickly, down the sidewalk. He was polite to everyone, friendly and acting the total opposite of how he truly is. Mexico’s jails do nit appeal to him.
@@angelforanimals7809 Im sure he would do the same if he was familiar with the laws in Mexico but im sure he rather play it safe especially if hes with his son and theyre in another country, different laws, different system, different legal system. It’s only when you have Karen’s, being witchy, businesses, being unfriendly, believe me if you would’ve camped out at a store, they would’ve vitamin for some brew. If it was a restaurant, they would’ve said anything.
The fact of the matter is that the truth is staring you in the face, and you just can’t believe it, that’s how we do it over there, it’s just the scary tactics of certain politicians, and people that cater to those politicians are the ones that tell you wrong and maybe you’re one of them that’s why you promoting Your narrative.
I videotaped many times, no big deal, in Mexico It’s just people don’t give enough, they’re just doing their own thing, they’re not drama, queens, like a bunch of Karen here in America.
@@moisesperez4605 ~ Keep telling yourself that. Point me to a video in America where he quickly walks through a town, smiling, saying hello to everyone, not targeting any business by stopping and pointing his camera at their business and then making threats and acting the fool. You can’t, because it doesn’t exist.
Just a short distance and the world is so different. The attitude to life is like every poor country I’ve been in the world. Chilled. Friendly . Taking pleasure from the smallest things. It’s when I wish I’d studied harder to learn languages. To be as fluent must be such a joy.
Never too late to learn

Better than Texas, for damn sure.

Thanks for making this video to show how people truly are in Mexico. I've been following you since that Yard Sale sign when cops gave you a hard time in your town, and you put their ass on check. The attitude of standing up for yourself is what I liked. I'm glad you continued your recording journey.
Wow what a great video! I would never have seen Mexico up close and personal like this, everyone is so friendly! Speaking the language makes the visit so personal! Nobody yelling: "don't take my picture"! Thank you for bringing us along on your trip!
There was a woman tourist White that did say don’t record me😂😂 @4:25
@raulmendoza8607 We tend to be entitled brats that think we're more important than everyone else. It's sickening.
I spent 2 weeks in Mexico a couple years ago and I still regularly wonder why I came back to the states
Spent last Christmas in Monterrey. My nieces son drove us from Reynosa to Monterrey. Beautiful city - clean streets and friendly people. Took 2 hours to cross back into the U.S. so the border is not wide open everywhere 😊
I was AMAZED at how friendly everyone was. Good people.
When everyone in society isn't on social media all the time and totally indoctrinated with nonsense then you can have a nice friendly functioning society.
why did you think mexicans were unfriendly?
It's pretty common. Americans have this stupid idea that people are ruff around the edges. It's never been like that. Coming from someone who travels there plenty of times. It's all the American BS propaganda they have always portrayed. I really feel Americans are jealous of how people are there because in the USA, everyone is stupid with their guard up and rude.
its a border town, and he looks white and speaks spanish, they seee dollar signs on him, of course if a god came into your store with millions of pesos you would be nice too
Mexicans are one of the nicest people! Love Mexico’

You should know the difference between "your" and "you're" as a 66 year old American.
@russelwindsor8366:VIDEO IS FULL OF GARBAGE
I'm a US citizen, living in beautiful Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, for three years now! Being away from the border is a wonderful experience and existence! Best move EVER!
I've been learning Spanish am seriously looking into moving to Mexico as well...
Thanks for showing us Mexican scenes we would never see on the news. It changed my perspective.
We can tell you dont travel😂
You should stop watching the news dude, its all bullshxt
It's incredible how friendly everyone was, such a stark contrast to what you see in the US almost everywhere. Nobody was a Karen, nobody got upset, they were welcoming and gracious. People in the US could learn so much from this.
These people in these shlth0Ie border towns in Mexico survive by tourist dollars of course they are going to ham it up for the red-headed gringo with the camera equipment.
In Mexico it I usually the police who don't like to be filmed.
it's the facade of it. There is way too much crime and corruption there. The people you see smiling would kill you faster than 2 shakes of a rat tail. And don't get any cosmetic surgeries there.. Meningitis is in full effect in that town. I lost 4 friends to it just recently.
And the cartels. holy shit you wouldn't believe. They are always watching you while visiting
the US should NOT learn anything from Mexico. AT ALL. you saying that made me cringe. I've lived across the border from that place. NOTHING good comes from it. NOT EVEN THE TACOS. You're more than likely eating Dog or Cat, possibly rat.
Do NOT glorify the visit.
So the US should have a Cartel or Cartels run the country? Get out of here.
they are not being friendly, they want to sell you something and get your money.
I love how everything and everybody is so transparent in Mexico! Everybody’s happy, smiling nobody is pissed off about a camera! I love MEXICO‘s medical system. I don’t care what anybody says.
I remember almost 20 years ago Jesse James and Kid Rock rode motorcycles to Mexico and were struck at how happy and friendly everyone was
Yeah you can you get anything you want from a Mexican pharmacy
@@bigrod1674Not really, they still have medication that requires a prescription. But they do have medication more easily available than in the US

I love how you capture so many smiles with your positive energy.
I went to Canada once to a comedy show. When crossing into Canada it was a warm welcome they were so happy to greet people. Coming back into America they tore my car apart, accused me of smuggling drugs, were rude as hell, then left my car pretty much destroyed when they didn't find anything and looked like idiots. It was unreal how disrespectful the American border workers were to an American citizen. I had never as much even gotten a traffic ticket in my life either.
Same here recently crossing back on foot, customs accused me of smuggling drugs and detained me for an hour, of course they found nothing.
Cheers from Ontario, Canada.
Back the Blue until it happens to you!
The American border workers were so rude to us (UK citizens), when travelling from Windsor to Detroit.
I had rented a car in Toronto, to be returned to Chicago. Despite having all the necessary documents (for ourselves and the vehicle), they grilled us for two hours, insisting that Canadian rental facilities do not supply vehicles with US tags.

AS a teen i talked to tons of stranger girl and guys and made friends from people i did not even know and even a girlfriend or two . people in Mexico are very approachable , in contrast if you walk up to a girl to introduce yourself they usually put their guard up and some are even outright mean. This video was really cool. You should do a whole series of MExico videos i think theyd be wildly popular and dispel many myths!
I bet you’d wish that. The truth lies in the border and lack of security. The people may not be all that bad but it’s not our problem to deal with millions of undocumented illegal aliens… thats not what our founding fathers set fourth for the foundation/principles of this country. Not sure what you intended by your comment but no one should be interested in altering myths or perceptions of that particular area/people… and more so securing our borders that are being infringed on daily…
