A real civil engineer might be COLOUR BLIND!? Red Arrows vs Blue Angels in Poly Bridge 2

- A real civil engineer gets confused by red and blue and fears all this bridge building may have made him colour blind. We visit the air show in this Poly Bridge 2 episode and wonder why the hell can't the jets fly over the bridge! It makes no sense to me! Think about it, the red arrows, or blue angels, can fly anywhere. In fact their whole job is about flying, so why are we making a bridge that gets out the way of them. Also, how did this even happen? The jets fly so fast that a bridge wouldn't even have time to use the hydraulics to get out of the way. It makes no sense, but as an engineer I must do what the people want and build a stupid bridge for a stupid reason... If you are still reading this you have far too much time on your hands. Though this is coming from the guy that actually wrote this so I wouldn't take too much offence!
This may be used a guide for Poly Bridge 2 levels 2-8, 2-9, 2-10 and 2-11.

5:10 rather than stopping it from tilting, designing the bridge to account for that tilt is a very “poly bridge” solution
I know, what's happening to me!?
I think he makes videos while his boss idnt near him 1🤣
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming It's also a quite engineer solution too.
I know! I was like... Uh just add another rope to stop the tilt!

I am in awe on how fast you are growing it it crazy. Tip if you want to replace a road with a renforced road or a wood with a steal then you don't have to delete it you just have to take better material and put it over the worse material.
logan harris same lol
Polybridge 2 has blown up and people are looking for more good content creators like alien, its a really good thing to be doing right now! plus its fun to see him learn as he goes along
True
You think him building the bridge is impressive?

Man, I just randomly found your videos yesterday and I must say, I'm loving the heck out of them! I also love your style of narrating; you don't go for the usual "let's player personality" thingy whereby you would get lost in the masses, but rather you have your own way of narrating things, which I love! Keep up the good work and videos and You can be sure I'm subbed and watching each and every one of them! :D

btw, on that last level going over not only lets you get rid of the under supports, but you can also remove hydraulics which are expensive

The tail of the plane goes through the gap
I think also because the road isn't "connected" the top plane can fly right through? Some tricky shit

I'm so happy this was suggested to me by youtube.
I find this relaxing and I usually leave your videos playing while working.
I'm late to the game playing Polybridgr but your videos are invaluable and so fun to watch.
Same here, I bought the game because of him
Watching the older videos shows how much he has inproved. Great work
It’s really funny watching go out and into engineer mode. When he just does things the good way or the polybridgey way. It’s really cool how he also got thousands of subs in days. They came for good reason lol. X to cut and move btw.
Can you please check the gallery when you finish the bridge? You would be impressed, especially if you select budget-lowest
"Why did he not connect the bridge?"
- hmm, I wonder if it has anything to do with the planes... :D
i feel bad that he hasn't yet discovered the magic of dangling roads
Witchcraft
You should play tabs (totally accurate battle simulator) ,idk why but I get the feeling you would like it
Nice job, that first solution was pretty creative
Could not believe the leaderboard position of it either! 😅
Real Civil Engineer you should check the gallery after finishing the bridge and select budget-lowest, you’ll be impressed
How do I still have top 5 on that level haha
Oh you watch this well you both do poly bridge
Interesting video as usual.
Little tip: When you're replacing a piece, you don't need to remove it first.
If RCE ever spent ten minutes in a flight simulator he'd know why airplanes always go under bridges.
7:20 Hearing a Brit saying "A very quick Truss" is pretty hilarious right about now, ngl.
I really think your videos are great! Great commentary, hilarious at times, and most importantly; your videos are perfectly edited.
Thanks friend, literally spend hours and hours editing so comments like this make it all worthwhile!
The Blue Angels fly F/A-18 Hornets, so you get points for "Hornets". :)
pumped for "the elephant level"
Me too!
I like to see how RCE gradually moves away from his Engineering logic and transitions into polybridging logic 😂
Man i love your videos, i'm glad my youtube algorith was made by an architect, otherwise i would have never found you.
You are really loveble and wholesome. Keep on engeneering. ❤
Almost 15k already!! Congrats!
"You see that bridge right there?" "Yeah?"
"Let's fly straight through it!"...
"Yeah sure"
You have a real soothing voice! Love the content, keep it up!
Now I'm thinking about people getting down in the middle of a highway.
Nice one lol
bridge holding on a single point : "ho no it broke" as an engineeer : it shouldn't be your first concern here. you have been tainted by polybridge :D
It's true
The word you were looking for at 15:56 is asymmetrical
You should try adding some pendulums to that swinging bridge to minimize the movement
Well done, you’re getting way better. Keep it up 👍🏽
You are good YTber. My sub is yours ;)
Btw. When you are replacing normal road with reinforced one, just put the reinforced road on top of normal road. Game will replace it. It works like this with replacing everything
I just found this dude like 2 hours ago and I have insulin falling in love it is just a guy having fun time on a game like wholesome

Do you need to have that many emojis? Just asking
@@potatorat2508 Nah, but i think plain text is just less interesting and with emojis i can represent emotions, which is why they were created.
Oh, I think they’re a bit unnecessary, but I’m biased a lot so whatever.
@@meeshroom5668 _"[...] with emojis i can represent emotions, which is why they were created"_
Ah, yes, beautiful emotions such as 🍎, 🕒 and 🚪.
The similarity between the words "emoji" and "emotion" is pure coincidence, btw.
(Disclaimer: this comment is meant as a joke and may contain traces of sarcasm)
Edit: (the coincidence thing is true though)

Hey mate, just found your channel and want to say that I absolutely love it!
Excellent! Welcome to the channel friend!
That description is absolutely hilarious!
This channel grew quick! Congrats on 12800 Subscribers.
You were very close with the US Navy's demonstration team, the Blue Angels, who _fly_ F/A-18 Hornets. We've also got the Thunderbirds for the Air Force, who fly F-16 Fighting Falcons
Also. If you keep having to fix the thing next to the thing until you've done the whole bridge. It's a design problem
Love what u do keep it up
As someone who is color blind (It's "color" in America) I am very concerned that I did not catch the moment that might have confused someone who isn't color blind. Also, loving the content! I find it hilarious that I've never played polybridge before in my life but have somehow been watching these videos for what seem like forever. I love all your videos you're putting out and have watched all of them! Keep up the good work mate!
Haha Yeah didn't think about that! Nice one for the kind comment, it really makes this worth while! Thanks so much!
He called the blue jets red because all objects are red in the building menu and he was thinking that was the color they actually are when really they were blue when running the level and it took him a while to notice that so he was saying he’s color blind.
I’d like to see a proper, minimum stress polybridge gameplay with the civil engineer knowledge : )
Fake Civil Engineer lmao
Who made this account? 😂 sneaky attempt to gain real knowledge too, very sly!

You're an amazing youtuber.
I loved the video.
tips lol
to move a bridge use the cut or the scosors icon
and you can just place a peice where you want it even if something is already there, but it will replace the old peice
I love how he doesn’t even classify poly bridge as real engineering lmao
Dropping roads on vehicles is the "best" solution in poly bridge for highscores, so I'm with him there.
Hey another CZcams calls Poly Bridge 1 and 2 “Bridge Game”
That first one was a 200 IQ move
I have a theory, the planes don't fly over because they just came around a curve and were planning to fly through all of whatever river this is, and the reason they can't fly fast is that they're Harrier jets and they're doing VTOL mode.
I love your poly bridge video's
I watched You a week ago and You have so far 13x your sub count! Keep it up man!
Epic, I look so often I didn't realise it was that fast! Crazy!

Liking this video a year and a half after it was published because of his very compelling argument at 2:05
Hi CE, just wanted to let you know there is a ‘cut’ tool, which copies the selection and allows pasting but deletes the original selection. It’s the closest thing to a move tool, I’ve explained it poorly but I think you’ll find it helpful!
The hot key is X
I finally get this thanks to comments like yours, you might not see it in my vids for a few weeks though! Cheers for the tip though!!
Real Civil Engineer Happy to help!
It seems like a flaw in the Poly Bridge math that suspension is almost never the right solution to a problem. Triangles are amazing and trusses are an engineering powerhouse to be sure, but a bridge design game where suspension is always wrong isn't right.
Bro i love ur vids keep it goin man
Thanks mate, glad you enjoy! So much more on the way!
Satisfaction, civil engineering edition
Hehe that was funny, taxi!
TAXIIIIIII!!
Nice video
6:10 rope in the middle, then no matter which direction the force is the rope will allways be in tention
6:25 kill the right lower rope and only have it on the lower left side. This way, yes, the bridge will rock whenn the lorry enters the bridge, but the swing will get arrested for the exiting.
At the Air show one: they didn't connect the segments because this was where the vertical stabilizers went.
or have the rope in the middle, problem solved, straight as a dart.
very good content Sir!
What’s this? Another great video made by a magnificent youtuber? You shouldn’t have
Thanks so much, made my day!
For the second map, instead of two ropes if you'd just swapped sides of the rope it would have been fine. You were okay with the swing in the beginning, you just wanted it to snap to a stop at the end.
Or put a single road connecting to the middle node. Stops swinging both ways and is shorter ...
Hey dude nice video ! Hope the algorithm takes you to the million subs :D
The pilot really did decide that a little higher is a too much to ask for.
For the bridge at 6:30 you could have just had a rope in the middle. That would prevent it from rocking at all because in order to swing either way the rope would need to stretch.
yes!!! you are the engineer!!!!

0:50 I haven't seen any other poly bridge youtubers make that kind of bridge for this level.
You got me to buy the game lol
Fiddling to make bridges the most cost efficient is the best part!
I would be way more than 50% stressed on that swinging bridge.
It feels like yesterday you were doing your 100 sub special
Probably because it wasn't actually very long ago! 😂
On the air show level I made one of the coolest bridges where the middle of the bridge collapses in on itself and it completely disconnected from everything other than 4 ropes holding it there
I think that will spin a bit…
The whole things almost side ways xD
11:25 stopping every time the jump broke when the other car could still make it
congrats on breaking 10k
On the jet one... I'd have thought to scissor jack the steel muscle
Loving the editing you’re doing! It’s very nice to see you upping your production value and skill. There’s definitely some improvements to be made, but at the rate you’re going you’ll be a pro in no time! You ought to watch some youtubers who make high quality content. There are many if you know where to look, honestly smaller channels are usually the best to look at for amazing editing. Two channels that come to mind are Nerd City, j aubrey and fairtx, although I can easily recommend more if you like. I have a decent collection of channels like these, and they’re great fun to watch. But anyways, I love your content! Your personality is delightful, you’re quite skilled (although I don’t know if you’d admit it) and picking up the game incredibly fast, and you seem like you’re devoting a lot of time and effort into this project. People usually recognize that, and if the CZcams gods allow, you can usually gain a lot of traction and a loyal follower base quickly. As far as other PolyBridge channels go, I don’t know how much you watch them, but two to look out for are aliensrock and EUNICE Yunisu.
Thanks, I really enjoy the editing side but it takes a long time to do the funny bits, time I don't really have if I want to get two videos out a week. Maybe if this goes somewhere I'll be able to get help editing, or even spend more time doing it myself "real part time engineer" 😂
You should totally get the bois and screw around on space engineers
Space bros, sounds good!
When I subscribed to you about a month ago, your channel was basically new, but now you suddenly have over 15,000 subscribers. How did this happen so fast?
It's because of you, and people like you, giving the new guys a chance! Thanks so much, couldn't do it without ya!
"Blue Hornets" SOOOOO close. It's the Blue ANGELS, who fly F-18 HORNETS.
The word you're looking for is "asymmetrise". strangely, it doesn't appear in the dictionary even though it's antonym " symmetrise", does. The only examples I can seem to find are related to a programming function
Have u considered trying cities skylines? It’s a game based around building a whole city, and you have to keep in mind things like pollution and traffic control etc. I think it would be right up this channels alley
World of Goo is a game with a kiiiinda similar concept to this, if you're hurting for something to play for your channel after this. ^^
Tbh i just had a straight bridge and let gabs for the plains. No big rope support. Just a normal bridge xD
Could you even imagine designing a bridge and being asked to make a hole in it so planes can pass through? 😂
Right, it's not like the planes can't just fly over. If anyone, someone needs to talk to the pilot about why they're flying so low.
On the rope one you can get rid of the right rope
