I snagged an original puffy rumple for around $65 on REI, I’d never pay full price for one but I do really enjoy it. Even use it as a throw in the house since it doesn’t catch pet hair. Great review, the poncho clip is a neat feature that sets it apart from some others. I’m considering buying one of the $30 Sam’s Club rumple competitors to have as a spare. Unfortunately without a big sale or as an Outlet item I just can’t justify the price of another Rumple.
Edit to say: I bought the knock off ‘camping blanket’ from Sam’s Club and it has every feature of the Rumpl and a very similar quality, for 1/3rd of the price of the original Rumpl. If you wanna justify paying more for the same, you should at least choose a higher quality fill in the rumpl.
Sam's is way too big
I just bought one of the synthetic down ones,£45 in the sale, its awesome so going to buy another in a different design. Its very lightweight, soft and very warm.
They look awesome, but the size of the first one packed is massive, second might be cool to take along while moto camping.
Great video, I appreciate the comment about using it as a hammock under quilt. Have you had it on top of you during a chilly night in the hammock? And was it adequate?
Not yet, but if the temp was 50+ you’d prob be fine with it
CAMP PLANET camping blanket is also good !!!!
I still have mine which was issued to me from the army … called a poncho liner … or as we call it the woobie
I have one of those tucked away in my truck :-)
My dad loves his Woobie and takes it on every backpacking trip. I got my own "civi version" (lol) from Costco.
This is bigger than the woobie I use both
In my ranger roll at the moment making Corn flakes
Which takes longer to dry, down or synthetic?
Google says..... Synthetic dries faster
synthetic dries fast and keeps warm even when wet
What is the chair she was sitting it? That thing looks awesome!
Nemo Stargazer!
"dig this video?"... I just flashed back to 1979 😂😂😂
Is it waterproof? Can you lay it on the snow
It’s generally water resistant, but not waterproof.
No, it’s not an outdoor blanket.
What kind of camping chair is that? She’s sitting in it by the fire.
It’s a Nemo Stargaze Luxury Recliner - check out our camp chair comparison video for a ton of info on it :-)
How are they when caught on fire?
Probably too warm then
This comment is gold! Just Subscribed!!
Haha
TJ Maxx has these for 39 bucks!!!!!! I got two 😊😊
Just buy a military poncho liner. You’ll come to understand why it’s our most loved piece of gear. The “Woobie”.
I just spent $400 on a impulse buy 🤦♂️
i have one and it leaks feathers. don't know how it compares to similar cheaper down blankets.
You mean it's leaking plastic bottles? No down in them...
@@ebikecnx7239 They have both synthetic and down blankets
Bean 80 bucks. I like the name
Rump l 125 plus. Weird name.
Where is my rump l blanket vs where is my bean blanket.
I have neither Maybe someday.
Way too expensive imo
The design is the top reason for an outdoor blanket..?
How about; does it warm you, does it tear or is it resistant, does it take sparks and heat, is it water repellent, is it resistant to spots and dirt?
I would buy an outdoor blanket to look good.. useless review for me..
I do like the designs, but I also love the build quality, warmth, weight and utility of these with the poncho clip.
Con..... Way overpriced.
Invest in a quality down quilt that will last you for years. More versatile and more bang for your buck.
Depends on the use case of the blanket and sourcing of the goods. They’re definitely a campsite flex, haha
It s made for outdoors. Few blankets in are
These blankets are only useful for Instagram influencer photos. All looks, low quality, fall apart quickly, way overpriced, made in sweatshops. Thats why no serious backpackers give them good reviews, if any review. Portland hipster bullpuckey.
Well that answers that question! lol
Is it a super thin denier? I saw one of their pages on Facebook advertising waterproof down blanket, which I thought was interesting, but I wondered how accurate it was or at least how that would translate to weight. The blanket in this video weighs as much as my tent and sleeping pad🤣
Bro really beefing it with a blanket
you barely even show the actual blanket....woud've bee a lot nicer to see more of the blanket and less of you
100 something for a blanket no thanks
