I second the On Running recommendation. I just spent 10 days in Italy with their Cloud 5 waterproof shoes and they performed wonderfully. We had a couple of cold and rainy days in Florence and my feet were completely fine.

I attest that those magnetic cables rock. I’ve got one in a night stand. Without it my cable was a tangled mess. Plus in the dark the plug end is right on the top in the same place every time. Winner.

Seen this stuff before ….. no ‘lifesavers’
I don’t travel much for last couple years but I was staying in hotels around the world for 250-300 nights a year for nearly 10 years and I never heard of anyone’s hotel room getting broken into. It just doesn’t happen or happens so rarely. So gadgets to lock the deadbolt further are just a scam to steal your money.
I tend to use them just as much at AirBnBs. Just a cheap, effective extra layer of peace of mind imo
