Did Anyone notice when David was searching in Pam's account when he went into Margot's Middle shool files, There's actually A file about The guy who pushed margot witch David Skipped over to Click on Isaac Blackensmith, The file was named Robbie Abolt, (Abolt being the surname of Detective Vick's ex husband) And it even said there that Robbie had a crush on margot, SVPD Parent, and divorced family. Chaganty if you're seeing this, you're an amazing director and not many directors put these easter eggs that actually is the key to the main problem of the movie

Wait2 I think you got something incorrect:
Charlie and Margot didn't arrange a meetup, Margot went to that lake to smoke weed and do nothing and Charlie follow her to that lake.
While Margot was high with weed, Charlie surprised her by showing up (trying to return the money and explain) but she hit him and run away from the car.
She tried to call her dad as she runs and after reaching the ravine, Charlie able to catch and led to another fight where he accidentally pushed Margot.

I don’t think you paid enough attention to the websites he was searching. Her Dad was archiving all the people she knew, and there are HUNDREDS OF EASTER EGGS alluding that Detective Vicks & her son “Fish_N_Chips” are the one behind his daughter’s dissapearance.
    1. Margot’s Mom denotes in middle school on her notes, that Vick’s son has a crush on her, and has a parent in law enforcement (i.e. Vicks).
    2. Detective Vick’s already knows where the Dad is when he is “at the lake”, when he didn’t tell her where he was (since she helped dispose the car at the lake).
    3. Detective Vick’s involves the Dad to PERSONALLY INVESTIGATE his own daughter’s case, instead of leaving it to state professionals.
    4. Vick’s son repeatedly interrupts her facetime calls with the Dad b/c he is listening in on them.
    5. Fish_N_Chips is alluding to Catfishing online, and also denoting that he likely goes to Margot’s school whose mascot is a Catfish.
    6. Vick’s son is seen numerous times on Margot’s facebook account complementing her.
    7. Fish_N_Chip’s must know Margot irl bc he used the cancer story to get close to Margot, almost identical to her Margot’s mom’s cancer story.
    8. Vick’s son being tied to wanting money is hinted in the middle of the film with $25. Margot gives Fish_N_Chips $2500 on a payment account.
Foundflix clearly you watched, but you didn’t see Searching “in depth”. There’s a lot of hidden hints in the movie, it looks like went through your head completely.

It doesn't have to necessarily be movies but like there have been movies where after a huge trial happens the two characters that were distant suddenly becomes much closer and true to each other it doesn't have to be an ending from a movie that simulates it and I wouldn't even call the ending generic but I'd call it something general to life a thing that's like you don't realize how much you love something until you have lost it ya know so I wouldn't call it generic but I wouldn't say there aren't plenty of things out there than can relate to the ending

It should have ended with a video of the man who claimed he killed the girl. That would have left it totally ambiguous and been accurate to real life... the most horrifying thing about parents in relation to missing kids cases is not knowing whether their child is alive or dead. Instead, they ended a movie on a happy and utterly unrealistic note in order to please the audience.

    • @Noodlewoodle
      @Noodlewoodle Před 5 lety +368

In my opinion the son is the product of the detective's bad parenting skill. As shown in the film the detective is very protective of her son. She repeatedly said something about how he is a good boy and that he can't handle all these things which leads me to think that she is an overportective parent. The son obviously has problems but instead of dealing wiht it the detective chose to protect him from reality and shield him from the world so at the end he bacame this person who seems to lost touch with reality and common senses. Well, that might sound confusing but thats just how I understood it. I have a friend in real life who is like that and her parent was also similar to this.

The detective sons Robert has had a crush on Margot since they were little was too scared to tell her so he made a fake account online called fish and chips and he gets a random picture of a girl online and pretends that his mom has cancer and they are friends for 6 months. And then Margot feels bad so sends 2500 to him to help pay for her mom. The guy Robert feels bad so wants to give the money back and one night he follows her to the lake at night when she was high but he didn’t know she was high and then she thought he was someone else and and she ran away and attacked him so he pushed her back and she fell down. He calls his mom( the detective) and she covers it up for him. By making some random dude high and telling him to put a confession to murder and then apparently he commuted suicide but the detective killed him. The father finds out about the detective, she gets arrested and so does her son. The girl is found alive

Not sure there was much to "explain" because this movie doesn't leave many holes. It is disappointing that you routinely got the son's name (Robert, not Charlie) wrong and that a meeting wasn't set up as Robert follows Margot to the lake where she went to get high. Also, we don't stick to the confines of one computer like in Unfriended. We also see Margot's laptop. But I do agree with you that the whodunit nature of "Searching" leads to more of a weekly procedural rather than a feature-length film. It's extremely well-made with little hints throughout the film, but the conclusion is just sort of...meh.

Moral of the story: Have a proper heart to heart communication with your parents. Do not hide your problems or life from them. The same applies to parents as well.

kinda missed the real fun fact how in Searching they used Pokémon to foreshadow what happens. fish chips and Margot talked about their favorite Pokémon. Margot's being uxie I think and fish's being kecleon. Uxie is one of three mythic pokemon in gen 4 usually being spotted at lake while Kecleon is known as the camouflage pokemon hiding from other to easily blend in with the surroundings. pretty cool if ya ask me :0
