Well made video. Really informative. Just what needed. Thanks.
You helped me a lot I did the same thing to my car and it had 227,000 miles On it now it's have 230,000 miles and the Blue Devil head gasket sealer still holding good
2 years later still holding up?
Nice follow up!
Great vid mann!!
Thx👍
this worked in my 2009 Lexus Rx 350 fwd for 4years straight, no overheating, idle perfect. Then into 4years it started the shakes replaced engine and 3 years later engine overheated time to do a blue devil again. mileage is at 370,000.
Good stuff
thanks for video andy .I just put some blue devil in my sons 2000 toyota camrey not over heating anymore while idling like before but primary cooling fan not kicking on so i set it up for fan to always run with ignition on .also had to modify my radiator cap for pressure build up.release..any suggestions on how to take care of problem with fan? or is it ok to run this way ?.thanks for any info you can give me.
Could be the fan clutch or relay. I connected the fans on one of my cars to a toggle switch on the dash, that way I can control them
I have an old Mazda Tribute with a closed system, no radiator cap in the traditional sense. Do I add this product through the reservoir? Thanks
No, remove the upper hose from the radiator and pour it in there. Then reattach the hose and follow the directions
I didn’t have an oil leak until I changed the valve cover gasket. The leak coming from the gasket will this help me?
I would first start by making sure your new gasket is seated properly. If the leak started after you installed the new gasket, it could be that it is not properly in place.
My problem is my car doesn't really "overheat". But it does run too hot in the summer. And my heater core gets exhaust in it (stopping the heater core from working properly, no heat in the winter). It's like a $6000 job to fix the gasket. It's not a major leak. So probably worth a try.
This should work. Are you sure your heater core is not clogged?
Never heard of a head gasket costing that much money.
I have 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis that has a blown head gasket and I was trying to see if this really works because I really didn't want to spend all that money trying to replace it. I bought a bottle of K Seal but haven't used it . I was trying to do research and see what's the best to use before try to do anything
I’ve never used K Seal, only Blue Devil. It’s always worked for me
Give it a shot
@@PhillipsVision Can some one tell me if you have to wait to the next morning to drive it and try it out? or can you drive it after the 50 minutes are up?
@@alexshatner3907 you can drive it after the 50 minutes are up
@@PhillipsVision Some people say to let it coll all the way and then drive it the next day but I will take your advise
Remember to take out the thermostat! This shit will block it if you don't follow directions. I can show you mine. So yeah, it works very well. I'm still not sure of the science and I think it messed up my heatercore but yeah it works.
Did you have to initially change spark plugs
Nope
How did your vehicle do at a constant speed of 75 mph for 45-90 min? Also another indicator of head/gasket issues is the condition of your spark plugs.
Did great. Drove out of the state a few times and on I95 many times
Ok So the Blue Jerkoff works .. Which version? The pour and go or the one that requires the thermostat removed?
I only use the version that requires the thermostat to be removed. It worked every time I used it
@@PhillipsVision I figured that's the one to get no doubt. Did you put a new thermostat on afterwards?
My 08 TL overheats not bad but goes up Alot in the day time. my mechanic said the headgasket so maybe this will buy me time to get a new engine 👍🙏💯
@@joeysmokez8423 no, just the original since it wasn’t bad
@@PhillipsVision hi.. Im from Malaysia.. May you teach me how to use this until it work good... I have you 2 times but nothing effect... I have bubles issue in my radiator... And the water always less when it running a mile long... But i think the gasket not very bad enough cause the water not yet mixed with engine oil.... Please advise bro
im pretty positive i have a head gasket leak but my car stays around cold when i drive and takes a while to heat up when idling does anyone know why?
Could be a faulty radiator fan. When those fail you will overheat when idling. When driving, the air flow will cool the radiator
Same with mine. My engine seemingly won't heat up passed 180 degrees F. Gasket leak too.
how’s it held up till now?
Still good. Car runs great
Is it still holding
Yep, no issues
How did you do it when it needs to be running for 50 min
My overheats within 10 minutes and the instructions say 50 min idle time
@@ramondelacruz9168 if yours is overheating that fast it may be a major head gasket leak which will probably need to be replaced.
@@ramondelacruz9168 I had the same hesitation. I tested mine before I'm going to attempt Blue Devil . I have an old 82 F-150. I was surprised that it idled for 50 minutes without overheating.
Directions say to remove the thermostat, heat on high, that should help with the over heating.
Are you located in Kansas?
No
Thanks…love the hat!

Thx 👍
Did you put the thermostat back in
Yes, and fill with coolant
Clogged my radiator
