Iâm guessing mama flew in, laid her eggs in that hiding place, and the eggs hatched in your yard. But that is just a guess. Mama just knew that you would help keep her and her ducklings safe.

We make memes about joey saying this is the last time he is rescuing animals but he does it again but we really need appreciate joey doing so much for these animals.
I know itâs kinda funny but I love it and heâs so good at it too!

I have ducks and I feed them peas oats and a mixture of seeds I put it in the food processor because itâs a little big for them to eat but if you just do that but eat it right up
Hopefully this gets more likes so he will see it! So many people donât realize that itâs unsafe to feed ducks and other birds breads and things like that because they expand in their bellies and can kill them. Iâm seeing right now that he gave them oats, but he didnât process them at all to make them smaller. I am concerned about them just choosing to live there because itâs important for wild animals to not be fed (daily by the same person) and to grow up in the wild so they learn how to survive. The only people that should be raising wild animals are people trained in rehabilitation into the wild life.
Maybe theyll come back to visit. That would be so sweet. They were too cute just sitting by the pool.

for anyone wondering, here is joey's animal list (comment if I should include Shadow):
- Wolf (male husky, rescued from craigslist (?) as puppy)
- Storm (male husky, white, adopted from a rescue as puppy, lives w Daniel)
- Lark (female husky/german shepherd mix (?), adopted from a rescue as puppy, lives w Daniel)
- Lark had babies! (accident at doggy daycare) seven of them (Red, Teal, Lavender, Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue)
- Moon (male husky, kept one of lark's babies-Teal)
- Sakura (black female pregnant rescue cat) (kept her)
- Sakura had kittens! zodiac litter (Gemini, Taurus, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
- Azula (female foster cat, was pregnant but lost the litter)
- Hen (foster mama from junkyard)
- 6 junkyard pups (Duck, Goose, Shark, Otter, Bear, Moose)
- foster mama dog Roo
- Roo's litter (Hare, Tiger, Bison, Panda, Raccoon, Monkey)
- new foster mama kitty
- Greek Goddess litter (Athena, Persephone, Aphrodite, Nemesis, Rhea)
- took care (for a couple of days) of a mama duck and her 9 babies that wandered into his backyard and got stuck
*the babies are usually adopted by other people (other than Moon) and then renamed!
And I have a feeling the list is just gonna get longer and longer

ducks will eat insects..but oats, lettuce, small cut grapes, some birdseed and rice are good for them as well.
I think itâs very likely that the mom laid the eggs in your yard and you just didnât know until they hatched.
While you don't have any of the dogs in the backyard, can't you just leave a gate open for the ducks to get out?

Ring your local wildlife they will come and take them away and put them somewhere safe
Also, picking them up like their mother would actually causes stress for them. Its recommended that you pick them up with both hands and hold them instead of "grabbing" them like you did

This isn't true at all ive worked in animal rescue and at a vet you can pick them up by the back of the neck it doesn't stress them out or hurt them
The freaking ELF LOOK is AMAZING
They give dried worms as a treat for well basically most of their animals near the pond at Ima Survivor Sanctuary.
But a local feed store has the special baby feed for ducklings & such if anyone's interested.
I feel like they all have their own personalities Persephone looks like sheâs the bad/mean girl sister, Aphrodite the pretty sister, Athena the good girl sister and the twins are the cute and adorable sistersđ

One of the twins has more white/brown ears in the back while the other is more gray. The twin that was on the right (Raya) had more white/brown ears
You should get one of those lilly pad shelves for your pool just incase something like this happens again. Its a little shelf that you install to the side of the pool and it acts like a ramp for anything that may fall into the pool and cant find a way out

I'm not sure if Joey already addressed this, but is Escape the Night ever coming back? I loved the show and I miss it lol
I heard it was put on hold because of COVID but would return. But that was a long time ago
Ducks eat grass, bugs, weeds, and basically anything natural and edible youâd find in their environment. Unfortunately this includes slugs and worms. Geese, on the other hand, primarily only eat grass (but who turns down free food though, they donât and will occasionally eat bugs and such.)
Unfortunately? They can eat all the slugs in my garden.

Mama kittie's meow is that of someone who has lived a rough life on the streets. A few too many cigarettes and some day drinking has lead to some gravel. She's still gorgeous and is cleaning up her act, but she has seen some stuff.
I work at a zoo making food for the animals and we feed the ducks Mazuri waterfowl which is a pellet made for them has all the nutrients they need and also fresh chopped greens with it, could feed them that till you can figure out how to get them out of your backyard. They love it and so do the wild birds that fly in randomly sometimes lol.
I loved these ducks "picked" his rescue đ€Łđ€Ł I need them more than the kittens and puppies

You should get like a mini pool for the ducks and put fresh food like lettuce And other foods and fresh water so they can drink and swim in it because chlorine is really bad for them I used to had ducks

3 days ago i had to rescue a 4 day old black kitten because mama abandoned him i had him for 6 hours before he passed. he was the most beautiful n tiny thing iâd ever seen and i miss him so much rest in peace ozzy oswald
Since both Leo and Persephone had/have crazy eyes and they are both black cats, does that mean Sakura had crazy eyes when she was little? We will never know.

I don't know about oats, but my ducks LOVE romaine lettuce, plus it's super good for them. If you think they really need food, go to your local farm supply store and buy some poultry/waterfowl raiser. It will help the ducklings grow.

I kinda wish I were there to teach ya about the ducklings since I study ducks and I have a really good and special bond with some of my wild ducks in my yard! Also wanted to say I saved one of the duck's eggs since she wasn't laying on it and she just laid it and left and the egg is due in 21 days! (If anyone wants to know if the duckling survives and hatches I can edit this comment to let you guys know-) Also!! The ducks eat seeds off the grass and stuff in the grass so you don't really need to feed them, they are fine! But you can feed them bread, for the ducklings make it super tiny. People say bread is bad for ducks but really it's perfectly fine and plus it's all they want, especially my ducks, they won't eat anything besides bread!
Just gotta make sure the lawn isnât treated with pesticide.

Joey, what you are seeing in the black kittens eyes is the 3rd, eyelid. It looks like it has not completely finished, withdrawing into the eye socket.I have had plenty of kittens like that, and eventually the 3rd.eyelid does go in so that you can't see it anymore.Sometimes they don't, it does not really bother the animal. Unless it stays on most of the eye, then it has to be surgically repaired.

If the ducks did not leave please call wildlife services. They can take them where they are going to be safe
You need to call a wildlife sanctuary or rescuer to relocate them to a pond/lake

So for the ducklings, you can cut up fruit, room temperature vegetables, peas are ideal because they're high in niacin. Mom can eat seed, fruit, oats, corn. Bread is not ideal because it will make them chubby. Also, they need water when they eat.
