Part 1: • 5 things NOT to do wit...
Part 2 is just as good as Part 1. Thanks for being so thorough! However, I have always been told not to put your foot all the way in the stirrups just in case you get buck off and getting your foot stuck. But, I was never told to reach for the ground with my hands either. Good advice! Thanks. ❤
Thanks for watching
Some good “Drivers Ed” for horses.
That's funny thanks for the comment Boyd
#5, I just had that happen on a trail ride. I am super slow to get on, 59 years old with one disabled hand. The group rode off without me and my horse (who is normally patient and wonderful) became frantic. It was a dangerous situation for me. I could not control him and had to just hand walk him until I could catch up with the group and ask them to wait for me. I am totally aware of this problem, more so because I am the slow one. Great advice for those 'gymnasts" out there!
I am sorry that happen to you. Hopefully your group will be more aware next time. thanks for watching
If I may add something to the "reach for the ground," reach with arms slightly bent so as to not overextend your elbows. Then as you hit the ground, roll over to your back with your head tucked in toward your chest. This will protect your head, front and back, should you ever fall. I learned this the hard way as I was growing up.
Thanks for the great comment
Thanks for making these videos as a beginner it is very helpful to me
Thanks for the comment Robyn I have another video coming out next week that you might like. It talks about 1 rein stop and some flexing exercises. Thanks for watching
Deeply educative and I'll be incorporating this into the behavior of my characters when I'm writing, but I also couldn't help but giggle when you were talking about getting kicked and bucked off and Kain (Kane? Cain? Cane?) was just standing there like 😐😐😐
Thanks for the comment.
Good stuff.

Please make sure the pad is centered under the saddle!
True enough
If you are facing the back of the horse, wouldn’t that out your head in a prime spot for getting kicked?
At least you will see it coming and can get out of he way
