And I do think helldive SHOULD be the challenge mode that most fail, while 7 should still be something casuals can beat for access to the exotic resource. The question is what form the challenge takes.

-increase spawnrate of higher tier enemies

Enemy variants and map conditions. We already have a bunch of em, so add things like spitting hunters and mortar hulks to higher difficulties, Conditions like firestorms and Ion storms to higher difficulties and change existing modifiers like AA or complex stratigems to be something that spawns a special enemy/base on the map that if destroyed, ends the modifier. IE AA would let you bring 4 strats, but you run the chance of a strat getting shot out of the air until you take out the AA base.
There will be more difficulty tiers anyway: 10-11-12 tier has already been confirmed, 13-14-15 might very well come later too

I just got the railgun yesterday and was so dissapointed that they made it somehow less than useless.

The game shouldn't be about change and updates about the weapons: your weapon shouldn't change without reason! But instead, it would've been upgrades from automatons and mutations for terminids!

@@mikkelnpetersen that too, obviously, but the automaton guns all have some sort of "overheat" function (look at both automaton turret types and the troops presumably changing their own cooling parts after shooting enough, that might just be reloading though)

The Quasar doesn't need to be fixed. Pre-nerf Quasar overlapped with the Recoilless Rifle and basically made it obsolete. Now the QC has a distinct role separate from the RR. The QC is supposed to be used for ambush sniping, not for frenzied melees.

They just better not take away the buffs some weapons got. Several weapons and stratagems are now perfectly viable bc of previous patch buffs. They just need to revert the overnerfs that made some stuff utterly useless but keep what good buffs they did dish out.

Yeah, the patrols are bugged. They ended up making it so that the patrols(and enemy count) were 4x the amount that a 4 man squad would see, what's worse is that that is for all player squads meaning you'd get 4x enemies no matter what if you weren't playing in a 4 man team.
