  • It is time for another impromptu behind the scenes video! In this video, we will be taking you behind the scenes at our soap making business. You will follow us for the day while we make our soaps (and a few bath bombs too). I will chat about what we do on a day to day basis, focusing on a "making day" and will cover how much soap we make for our business.
There is a huge amount of work that goes into running a handmade business of any kind, so we are hoping that these behind the scenes videos will give you a taste of what it is really like to run a soapmaking business full time!
This is a raw "behind the scenes" video, so no added lighting or makeup! So the lighting won't be as good in our actual soap making videos - sorry about that but we didn't want cables trailing around the place while we made lots of soap!
If you enjoy our videos and soap making tutorials please do give us a like and subscribe :-)
We will be uploading new soap making videos every alternate Friday and we will also be adding the odd soap making business/behind the scenes video as and when we have time to make them!.
You can also follow us and find our soaps here:

If you do head over to our website, we offer our CZcams friends 20% off purchases if you enter code "youtube20" at checkout :-)

Love it. Absolutely love how you keep everything so realistic and don’t try to hide flaws when they crop up. Genuinely inspiring. Your soaps look gorgeous. I think I recognise the lavender and goat milk from another vid? Beautiful.

Love your comment at about the 6 minute mark about "really cold places, like Canada or the South Pole". Made me giggle, as I live in Saskatchewan, Canada, and woke up this morning to -30C temperatures, not counting the wind chill... 🥶🥶🥶🥶 But in all seriousness, I love you videos, thank you! I'm hoping to start my own business with my mother here soon, and so I've been binge watching a lot of your videos, just learning as much as I can. Thank you again!

-30C - my goodness! It's cold enough for me when it gets to about +8C here! Good luck with starting your business and I am glad you are enjoying our videos :-)

I haven’t seen a maker do a video exactly like this…it’s the most realistic one I’ve seen for those of us making from home! You are AWESOME and I appreciate your vids! Also, what were those gorgeous flowers on top?

Brilliant video. Thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one that changes the plan for the day but I do feel small businesses have to be flexible. Glad you were okay with the batter splatter ☺️

Thank you Debs :-) Our days so often change depending on what happens during them! It's one of the things I quite like really - the unpredicatability of what is going to happen!

Thank you for sharing your busy day. Your soap looks beautiful. I made my first ever bath bombs this week and they came out ok but some had flat bottoms lol

Thank you Alison. To be honest, we do get slight flat bottoms on most of our bath bombs. It used to bother me but over time I have realised that our customers don't mind them at all, so I have given up trying to perfect perfectly round ones!

Hi Anne, really enjoyed this video, ( & the others too ). I’ve made the vegan soaps, for my son’s wedding…..Guest gifts. Tried them on myself….love the soap suds 🫧 & soooo soft. Have you got any plans for face cream videos. Greetings from Germany 🙋🏻‍♀️xx

Hello Sharon and congratulations on your Son's wedding! We don't have plans for a dedicated face cream at the moment, but we will be showing our body butter at some point over the next few weeks and this is a lovely, moisturising cream to use.

Will be visiting London for the first time in July.... We've booked 3 days using the hop on hop off bus tour... Are you on that route because I would love to pop in and buy a soap or two... Regards Vanessa from South Africa

Hello Vanessa. How lovely for you to be coming to London, it is a lovely city and I am sure you will have a brilliant time! Unfortunately we are based in Battle which is a town in Sussex and far South of London so we won't be close to where you are I am afraid.
