"I just wanted to show you don't need a big space to make soap" while she literally shows an entire house with a big kitchen, patio, basement and yard for her to work in 🙃
RIGHT!!😂😂😂
You’re are def right her space in the video is definitely decently sized but wanted to say as encouragement - one of my best friend’s moms makes soap above her garage and it’s literally a hallway in size and diameter. So you can have a smaller space but I do think with soap making you need more space than other homemade items you can make yourself unfortunately.
Absolutely amazing artistry, craftsmanship, & attention to detail!
Just sending you a simple thank you for all you teach us!
I have a whole new appreciation for handmade soaps after watching your video. I never realized how many steps were involved and yours turned out amazing! I can just imagine how wonderful they must smell ❤
I’m with you on that comment!

First soap making video I’ve watched. My grandmother made all our soap (yes using lye). I didn’t know what store bought soap was until my grandma died in 1970. I’m going on 68 and realize that my younger years were spent caught up in modernization. Now that I’m retired some of the old days are coming back into my life.
Hi Robin, just reading your comment as a soap maker myself (self taught during lock down) , you should try it out for yourself. It's such a brilliant thing to learn because once you learn it, it's for a lifetime and one bonus is you can make the best soaps & gifts ever, all by your own design. Once you use handmade soap again your skin will hardly ever need moisturiser lol.
You're awesome, Mary. Thank you for giving us another insider look at the wonderful items you make.❤
There’s just one problem with watching a soap making video, I can’t smell them! 😂 Your little soap kitchen must smell divine ❤
A lot of work goes into it! I’m impressed with everything you do.
Hearing you say that you like to have several things going at once makes me think of you being in a circus and having all those plates spinning on top of sticks! I bet you could keep a bunch going!👏 You’ve come so far since watching your first soap making video! The names of those soaps sound as amazing as they must smell! So creative! Chocolate covered strawberry! I’m dying here!!!😍👍 It’s always a good day when Mary’s making soap!🧼
So inspiring! I'm a newby to soap making and real appreciative to all the experienced soap makers who share their skill. Love your whole setup, it's ideal for soap making. And the view of nature from your home is breathtaking. Thank you for sharing 😊
What beautiful soaps. 🧼
KEEP CALM AND MAKE SOAP! Thank you for this wonderful tutorial on soap making Mary!
You are fabulous!! Thank you for being you!
How generous you are to share your recipe. I love the labels, especially for the round bars. I can see why you enjoy making them.
I wanna make soap now!
I love your Nashville shirt!
That's where I'm from!
We share a love of classic country music. That's why I'm here! My dad moved here to pursue music and met my mom! We live 30 minutes west of Nashville now.
- Your biggest fan from TN
Love you Mary
Everyone in my life knows your name now!
I'm like, "You need to watch Mary!"
I love your Music City, Tn shirt. I was born and raised in Nashville. One of the few around any more. I hope to be able to visit your city one day. My husband and I love to visit smaller towns and cities. Thank you for the soap tutorial. I think they all turned out beautiful. Love your channel.
I have always wanted to see soap being made.... thank-you!
Enjoyed watching. Thank you Mary. Have a good day.
I bet the grass scent would smell good with lavender mixed in. I really like the round shape too.
Your strawberry idea was a good one but I immediately thought watermelon slices for summer!
Oohhh! I can’t wait to see the sample pack and how much they will be! I would love that!
That grass soap looks so cool!!
Mary, I think your grass soap is a winner...very realistic! Love your videos! ❤
Yes! I love Lily of the Valley scent and the flower!
Thank you for sharing your outside.. really miss the outdoors, here in San Antonio Tex it’s so hot..thanks
I have tried a lot of handmade soaps but yours are by FAR my favorite and nothing else even comes close. I'll be watching your shop so I can pounce on some of your new fragrances. I am so hooked on your Lemongrass that I need to always have one bar of that in my shower along with a new one.
It is so nice that you are willing to share your recipe ❤
Green is my favourite colour so I love those, the black and white ones are also cool looking. Also love the new labels.
Thank you for sharing . I find your videos so peaceful and motivating. God bless, Susan

You are my spirit sister
All that soap ❤ I can imagine the beautiful smell that must be swirling around your home ... delightful.
The strawberry 🍓 soap could be also a watermelon 🍉 one 😊 they all look fabulous to me. We'll done Mary.
Beautiful Mary love them!
I will start by saying that I am not a soap maker…yet! I’ve been watching a lot of videos to learn and have seen other makers use 99% alcohol sprayed on the tops of the soap after pouring to help prevent soda ash. Thought it was worth mentioning if you want to give it a try. Thanks for the great video!
Yes to this! I always spray alcohol on top. Usually almost right away and then I spray a couple more times in the first hour or so. I seldom have ash. ~Marita
Also you can steam the tops of the loafs that have the soda ash after saponification. When about to release from the mould, instead steam the whole top surface area and leave to dry for a few hours. I often do it at night so I remove a dry loaf in the morning, then cut. Leaves a shining brighter colouring and milky ash gone. Bought myself a tiny steamer jug kettle on Amazon dedicated to shiny bright soda free textured tops. LOVE THIS VIDEO, inspiring, and a great promoter of the beauty and value of handmade soaps. When I want to go into a calm space free of the worldly chaos, I turn inward and either make soap, meditate or read life-affirming books. Bless ya. 🍓
Loved the use of the coffee filters. Loving your show.
The soaps turned out fabulous. Love all the different scents. I like using the coffee filters to wrap the round ones. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for sharing, I always enjoy watching, God Bless!!
I love your soap. My husband loves it. I just ordered more. My favorite is the lavender and it sells out so fast.
All the soaps are so pretty. This was very interesting to watch. Thank you
Such PRETTY BARS!!!
I love your soaping videos! Thank You for bringing me along!!
Love your Tennessee shirt. I am an East Tennessee girl. Really enjoyed watching your videos
HI Mary! Have you thought about making soap on a rope? It is difficult to find these days..I remember EVERY Christmas my Dad would request soap on a rope. He liked that it wouldnt slip out of his hand, and it didnt get soggy sitting in a soap dish. Your soaps are beautiful and Im sure they smell even better than they look. Thankyou for sharing your talents😊❤
That was fun--what beautiful soaps!
Love the grass soap! I will watch for it in your etsy shop!
Ive been dabbling in soap making off snd on for a few years. I was origionally trying to figure out how to work with bees wax and shea butters but that didnt turn out as well as i hoped. I made some shower melts that make your shower smell amazing and it melts down the drain. But now im getting into actual soap making. I love the melt and pour method. They came out with a clear soap that you melt and you add your own ingredients and fregrance to it and its so easy to cut. It melts in about 20 seconds in the microwave and i dont believe lye is in it but im not sure. But all the hard stuff is already done and you measusure out your own ingredients and you can use the same stuff to make shampoo bars as well. Im super excited about that.
I find your soap making videos so calming thank you Mary x
Truly amazing. The finished product looks excellent
Your attention to detail is amazing. I’ve purchased your soaps before. They are awesome.

Hola me encantan tus vídeos no me pierdo ninguno tengo mucho tiempo siguiendo te e aprendido mucho me gusta tu decoración soy de Jalisco México saludos
You have the perfect place to hold classes for your candle, soaps and signs. my sister and I are planning a trip to Amish country. You inspire me to be a blessing with all that you do. I have sold my business of Event planning 2 years ago, but I am wanting to still have an income so that I can give and share. We are in our 70's never to late is my motto.
I've been using your lilac for a few weeks. It's perfect to get me in the spring mood!
So fun watching everything you touch become so wonderful!! 😊
Beautiful! Love the look of the grass !
They're all so pretty. I bet it smells heavenly in there
All of them are so pretty!
Loved watching your soap making videos! Lovely!
🥰Wow - wish we had smell-a-vision ! I think your strawberries came out pretty good for a first attempt - they put me in mind of Christmas Puddings too 🎄 - could be a great seasonal round-shaped soap to make with a small tweak of the colours and a fruity/spicy scent! I love your workspace, and yes - an organised space is a productive one 🙂
Thank you! I’m going to try your recipe and I already know that I love your soaps since I’ve gotten some.
Loved this video. I have always wanted to try to make my own soap. I am so glad I saw that you had restocked the Lily of the Valley and others at the beginning of the week and totally grabbed several. Thank you so much for all you do! You are truly an inspiration.
You are so creative, on the chocolate covered strawberries maybe skip the green and just a thin sheen of chocolate and a small drizzle of white. I love the idea and ai bet it smells amazing. I have loved all the scents I have bought from you. Also an idea for spring, grow loofahs and add those to your line as a package with the soap.
Beautiful looking soaps.
Just fascinating,Mary and you have the perfect space for soapmaking!!! Thank you for sharing your love of this craft with us!
Loved the soap making! ❤❤❤
I absolutely LOVE your patio area!!! So peaceful!! Also, I think that your chocolate covered strawberry soap came out cuter than you’re giving yourself credit for. Maybe it wasn’t your vision, but a customer wouldn’t know that!
Fun video!!! So many steps to make soap!!
Such care and love that you put into creating soaps and then showing us how you do it. Thank you, Mary. P.S. Give Pebbles and Twinkles the big squeeze for me... they look like they could take some love from those who follow your channel.
Beautiful soaps!!! So satisfying to watch.
These are beautiful and I can smell them threw the video They smell wonderful lol ❤😊 loved this video ❤️ thanks for sharing
GOD'S BLESSINGS ❤
Those soaps look good enough to eat! Beautiful!
Mesmerizing video… it must be so incredibly satisfying to stand back and look at a days achievements. Loved the video 💜
It is so relaxing to watch your soap making videos! They all look so pretty, wish we could smell them! 😁🌷
Realy selfmade woman. Great!!
Your soaps look absolutely beautiful.
I Love the way they turned out... Especially the Grass❣️❣️
Love watching i make soap !Wish i could smell it
I love watching you Mary , thank you
Lovely seeing all of your soap stacked on the metal counter!! Just wish there was smell o vision!!
They look wonderful Mary, Lilac is probably my very favorite sent. I noticed yesterday that my lilac brush is blooming. I couldn’t help but stop the car as I was turning into the driveway to hop out and smell the wonderful blooms. They smelled so good. You have the perfect area to make soap. Someday I may try the process myself. Thank for doing this video. Ann from Va.
Your Grass soap really did look like grass! My fave was Citrus Grove. Love that color.
If you use a small handheld clothing steamer on your soaps that have soda ash on them the soda ash disappears and you have nice shiny soap. I do this about a week before they are fully cured. I never really worry about soda ash because this method works wonderfully. Thank you for the wonderful video. Makes me want to get back to work making soaps again. Hugs to you and yours.
You are an artist. ❤
It looks good enough to EAT! The strawberry is actually my favorite. I wonder how that would work in the round shape.
It’s not weird to fall asleep to someone making soap. lol. I’m guilty of that also.
I do that as well! It’s her soothing voice! Then I wake up and have to find yhe show again! Lol
@@user-jq2ny7gd2h HAHA! Me too
Me and my mom use a little steamer for the ash, set the bar on its side, and steam it. It works great😊
The grass is really cool!
i would recommend to wash the soap dishes the next day, when remains turn to soap.
and steam your soda ash tops with a steamer
soap making is my happy place, nice to see that you enjoy it as well; beautiful creations. I find spritzing my batch with 99% rubbing alcohol after I've finished swirling the top helps eliminate most of the soda ash.
