Painting 1/35 Kampfpanzer 70 from Dragon - My way to shrink my pile of shame

This time I shrink my pile of shame by painting an almost forgotten kit. This is the Kampfpanzer 70 or MBT 70 from DRAGON´s Black Label Edition.
This kit is far away from perfect but gives us the only modell of this important vehicle. It is the Daddy of the Abrams and the Leopard 2 tank.
You can build it on one weekend out of the box and if you wish to, you can create a fine "What If" tank.
In this first episode I paint the olive drab amouflage colour as a base for further weathering steps.

Never heard of this tank. Thanks for sharing. The basic kit looks ok. Extra’s are almost always improving the kit. Nice result so far 👍

Thanks and you daw right. The basic kit is ok so far, but the mounted 2cm gun and the gun barrel have a lack of Detail. There are no aftermarket kits to pimp this.

Just got this kit at a flea market missing one piece but i couldnt pass up on the price

@@DIORAMUS- it a part that hoes behind the road wheels going to try and scratch build it dont know how to or get it from dragon with it being on the other side of this big marble and the cost wow

If it is not visible, I think scratch build is the best solution. Happy building😁
