  • Welcome to Grain & Steel! Today i'm walking you through my wood/epoxy coaster build. This is my first time really experimenting with coasters, so I definitely made a few mistakes lol I do think they ended up turning out great though, so I hope you all like them too! Don't hesitate to let me know what you think in the comments!
I am also willing to build custom wood/epoxy projects for your specific needs, so please do contact me via instagram or head over to my etsy shop if you're interested in having me build you something!
At the time of this upload, there are still coasters available, so if you're interested, click the link below to purchase them on my etsy shop!

Thank you for explaining everything so well and even show us what can go wrong! I got a few questions:
    1) if i took the wood WITH the bark, applied epoxy with a brush, let it completely cure and use it that way - would i still get problems after pouring the epoxy?
    2) what table saw do you use? It looks perfect for tiny shops and seems to do a great job!
Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!
p.s.: The black with white swirls look gorgeus!

How do you stop the epoxy soaking into the end grain when putting the wood in

    "How big a..." - not "of a". 🤦
