That's a whole lot of flowers - and in a pot too! Yes, one to stop you in your tracks as you walk around the garden.

I suppose it would be a lot prolific if this was in the ground. Is blush noisette has lasting blooms ? Because I have a bunch that’s been on the bush for over two weeks.

@@kenvoong5977 Yes, BN flowers stay on the bush for weeks. With the damp, chilly weather they tended to brown and look unattractive eventually, but I think the faded blooms dry and drop off faster in warmer weather - and there are always more to come.

LDV by Meilland is a gorgeous rose, Ken. Your rose a stunner. I planted it in March, a bare root, standard tree rose. It now has 4 full size blooms and many more buds. Blooms last for ages, 2 weeks + and still going healthy. I added it to my collection for its display and health alone not for fragrance. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful colour display. 👍

Hi Raj, I’m not familiar with the standard tree but the bush form is pretty impressive. I’m really starting to like Meiland roses. I will slowly have some of my existing ones replaced with meiland roses.

I love LDV rose. I have one in my garden which isn’t in the best location as it’s a bit shaded but I am impressed by how long the blooms last.

Hi Kyla, this rose will perform best in full sun and the blooms last a very long time. Meteor( kordes) has prettier and longer blooms so far in my garden.

Not for the first time this didn’t appear on my time line I was thinking you went quiete!
Lovely Ken. Yours is doing better than mine I think and mine is in a baseless pot. How old is yours and when does it see sun? Mine must be 3 years old now and sees morning sun. But I’m over the moon with mine but yours is flying 😊

Hi JayJay, glad to see you’re back. Ive been following your road trip and I kept saying to myself.. I hope JayJay can Sprekken die deutch or else he’d be buggered.
Yes leornardo is proven winner in my garden a winner. Mine is 4 years old and planted in a very tall pot . It use to only get few hours a day. And now flourishing in the sunniest spot( all day).
I’m in A process of compiling 15 most fragrant rose in My garden and some of the roses are very slow to bloom especially the ones I planted earlier this year. And by the time these blooms the ones that were blooming have finished their first cycle. Finally when we do get decent weather, our roses then decide it’s had enough. Timing has been almost impossible with the continuous change of weather🙅
I’m only two rose away from completion and will be uploading next couple of days.
Ps. When will we get to see your visit to tantau and kordes?

    • @Jay_Jay
      @Jay_Jay Před 2 měsíci

@@kenvoong5977 yes the timing very difficult some of mine always take longer but this year they have taken an eternity. I’m still hoping no bud damage when they do open.
Getting the roses all in flower together it’s impossible. But do you use iMovie? I find the detach function very handy and that will asssit you tie them together in flower whilst keeping your commentary going.
Best of luck with it I will look forward to seeing your video.
My video is ready. I’m just waiting on an enquiry I made to Tantau. When they get back to me I’ll add a tiny snippet and upload. The kordes video will be separate.

That's gorgeous Ken. I don't have that one in my garden. Hope you are having the lovely weather that we are. Makes such a difference especially for people who have been working all week but have the weekend off. When I worked, it always seemed to be nice during the week but cold and rainy at the weekend! You must be like me and spend a lot of time watering all the pots. Do you do yours in the morning or evening? I never know which is best and it probably doesn't make any difference as long as it's done.

Hello Wendy, yes I think summer has finally arrived. We are in for a scorching week next week. Leonardo is a clever and cunning rose, it always displays so much colour when all other roses aren’t in bloom. It’s also frustrating now we have good weather, our roses aren’t in bloom. So when I’m trying make any videos, timing is so crucial.
I tend to water my roses in the morning before work if I know it’s going to be hot day.Morning or evening is the best time water, I wouldn’t advise watering during the day when it’s hot. You’d better get a pen and paper because my next video of most fragrant rose might interest you.
Where is Linda? She been very quiet lately ( I assume weather up north is pretty dreadful ). Will be be keeping an eye out for her garden tour. Hope you have a lovely weekend !!

@@kenvoong5977 I watched Linda's last video and she said the weather had been bad but she's hopefully had this glorious weather over the last few days. I expect she's been like me, busy catching up on the jobs that didn't get done because of the lousy weather. We both said that we were behind with things. I'm still planting summer bedding that I grew from seeds. Unheard of for me to be planting so late. When it's nice weather I feel guilty watching CZcams but all the lovely gardens give me the kick up the backside to get on with my own. Take care Ken.
