- In Pasadena, USA lies an iconic colosseum famous for a wealth of sporting history. During the 90s, it played host to two monumental tournaments, witnessing two epic penalty shoot-outs in the finals of both the FIFA World Cup and the FIFA Women’s World Cup. This is: the Rose Bowl.

En el partido del local USA vs Colombia en Los Angeles, habían apuestas de los narcos en Colombia que iba pasar Colombia, USA gano 2-1 por un autogol de Escobar. Colombia quedo eliminado en la fase de grupos y Andrés Escobar regresó a Colombia y estando en un club nocturno en su carro tres hombres aparecieron y lo mataron con una arma, solo por el autogol. Bien tristes lo que pasaba en Colombia en ese tiempo.

I wonder why the L.A. Coliseum wasn't used as the venue for the final. Either way, both venues are iconic.
It's too narrow. Only 60 meters wide for soccer, but FIFA requires at least 68 meters, more when you include space for corner kicks

It's a little strange. The iconic colosseum in USA hosted two World Cups in five years and the final ended in same fashion: No goal after 120 minutes and penalty shootout.
Even London's Wembley Stadium is now hosting two European Championships final (men and women) in a row (2021 and 2022).

They really should be more accurate about the location of the stadium. There are nine places in the US called "Pasadena". The Rose Bowl is really in the Los Angeles metro area suburb of Pasadena.

Yo me acuerdo de la final de la Copa Mundial de Fútbol (Soccer) que fue en Estados Unidos, en 1994, cuando cumplí 9 años en mi cumpleaños.
En ese año nos tocó soportar la pesadilla que fue la Copa Mundial en ese país cuando Colombia resultó con mala racha y después la muerte de Andrés Escobar.
Si Colombia fuera Campeón del Mundo en ese entonces, sería mi mejor regalo de cumpleaños como mejores momentos.

Fifa querendo ou não o Mundial de clubes começou dês 1951 está na história, depois em 1952 a 1958 teve o pequena taça mundial de clubes que foi criado como mundial, assim como a taça rio- São Paulo de 1951 é injusto tirar esses títulos mundial dos clubes, até porque até os anos 1958 e 1959, os mundial apesar de outros nomes, eram bem mais difícil de se ganhar e tinha mais rodadas entre os Europeus e Sul-americanos. Então tinha que ser bom mesmo para ganhar um campeonato desses. Eu fiz os campeões mundial e os títulos tirados foi desses times exceto do Fluminense em 1952 porquê neste ano foi criado a pequena taça mundial, então esse deve ser considerado mundial no lugar do torneio rio- São Paulo. O de 1951 não deve ser excluído pela questão que foi o único torneio mundial feito neste ano. Primeiro começo a lista em 1951 Palmeiras campeão e Juventus vice, Veja só venceu Juventus time forte então é válido esse mundial. 1952 Real Madri campeão e Botafogo vice na pequena taça mundial de clube. 1953 Millonarios campeão e River plate vice, 1954 Corinthians campeão e Roma vice, 1955 São Paulo campeão e Valência vice, 1956 Real Madri campeão e Vasco da Gama vice, 1957 última edição da pequena taça mundial de clube Barcelona campeão e Botafogo vice. Aí nós dois próximos anos teve mundial mais com outros nomes e 1958 Vasco da Gama campeão em cima do Real Madri e passou pelo Racing tambem, ai 1959 Bangu vence no lugar de fluminense que desistiu, e sai melhor que Sporting e Bayer de Muniche. Aí o Corinthians tem um título mundial no ano de 2000 sabendo que Boca Júnior foi quem ganhou a libertadores e venceu o Real Madri, e o Corinthians foi convidado especial da FIFA. Não pra ser mundial o time tem que ganhar a libertadores pra depois pegar o outros melhores, isso foi injusto. E Boca foi o Campeão não o Corinthians. Sem contar que 1975 Bayer Munique e Independiente não jogou, e 1978 Liverpool e Boca Júnior não jogou. No meu ponto de vista os títulos desses anos deveria passar prós times que jogou o terceiro e quarto lugar, ou esses mesmo times deveriam se enfrentar agora em partidas representantes, E ver quem ganham pra saber o vencedor. Mais o certo era passar o título pros terceiro e quarto lugar, daqueles anos. Pra regularizar tudo. E não tem como ter dois campeões mundial igual em 2000 com Corinthians e Boca Júnior. O certo é o Boca porquê ele ganhou a libertadores e foi ao mundial jogando de verdade e não por participação especial. Ai claro que na classificação de pontos tem que ponhar os pontos pros times campeão e vice, pra ficar justo. Quem quiser é só pesquisar na internet na história do futebol que vai ver quando o primeiro mundial foi feito e os nomes dados na época, mais é a mesma competição desse mundial, mais o método jogado era bem mais difícil que o de hoje. Onde os times da Europa e da América, só se ver nas rodadas finais. Então é errado desmerecer esses títulos porquê os times antes, se enfrentavam em chaves de eliminações com várias partidas e não só uma ou duas. Como é agora.
