    Well I'm glad I'm not trying to keep up with you Marie. I really need to build one of these... im rethinking my power station as well as a friend of mines shop went up in smoke from over charging his batteries. I spent $12 for a timer plug that has presets and im thinking the power station now needs to go near the door so when I lock up shop I can set the timer and walk out the door

      Yikes that's scary. I've been plugging in my power bar (that all my chargers are connected to) only when I need to charge one. Then unplug. Thought it was overkill but now I'm thinking maybe not.

    A great build Marie, that’s a piece of organisation I lack, but also low in wall space 😂.

    Brilliant design, Marie! Really fantastic work! 😃
    I need to think about how I'm going to make my sandpaper organizer, but as it's going to be for much less sandpaper... I guess I'm going to copy your old solution! 😂
    Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

    Very nice Marie, i could do with making one myself but maybe a bit smaller though as i don't use too much sandpaper.

    Beautiful work. I stubbornly continue to store mine in systainers even through they only open and load from the top and I haven’t had any reason to transport them anywhere. Your method makes so much more sense.

    This is so great, simple, and useful. If I put it up that high, I'll put labels on the bottoms of those tabs, too! I'm already working out how I'll make mine with a router instead of the table saw I don't have. Thanks for a great project!

    I love your videos and projects, on this video you mentioned about going into autopilot about doing the dados… for anyone who is new or experienced with a table saw (even with a SawStop), I do not recommend ever going into autopilot mode as that can cause a loss in focus and before you know it, your fingers will not be with you anymore. Not trying to offend or anything of the like, I am just trying to make others aware that it is not good to go into an autopilot mode when operating a table saw… Once again, I do really enjoy your videos and build process Marie! I actually took inspiration from your router table build to build my router table :)

    Very useful technique for making shelf dividers. I've become a big fan of a kerf maker. Makes dados with a single table saw blade a lot easier. I bought one from Bridge City Tools. Nice tip with the band saw too

    Hi Marie. It would be really beneficial for those on the other side of the pond if your plans were in metric. Any chance that this could be an option in the future?

    • @DIYMontreal
      @DIYMontreal  Před rokem

      Sure for this project I think that would be fine.

  • @cindioneill2769
    @cindioneill2769 Před rokem

    Hello. Are you doing cross cuts in the table saw? Or are the dados being crosscut?

  • @do_hickey
    @do_hickey Před rokem

    I would have thought that you would flip the board over after each pass and cut the other side so that you could set the fence once per dado and have both sides be exactly the same. E.g. set the fence to 2", make a pass. flip it over to the side that was on top, and make another pass. Then nudge it over to get the right width, and run both sides through again. Then move the fence to the position for the next dado. That way you have exact matching dados and less monkeying around with the fence and measurements, though you flip the board a bunch of times.. Hopefully that makes sense.

    • @DIYMontreal
      @DIYMontreal  Před rokem

      Great idea in theory! But then I'd have dados on the outside of my cabinet the way I did it.

  • @Dagfari
    @Dagfari Před rokem +1

    One thing occurs to me... aren't a lot of the shelves shelves above eye level?
    Shouldn't you install the sliders upside down, so that you can see the label from below?

    • @ThavronMakes
      @ThavronMakes Před rokem +1

      Alternatively, put the labels on the side wall of each cubby.
