  • Monte Carlo Nights, directed by William Nigh, a man is wrongfully convicted of murder and manages to escape custody. Desperate to prove his innocence, he embarks on a perilous journey to find the real killer, armed with only a single clue. As he navigates through danger and deception, he encounters various intriguing characters, including a charming woman played by Mary Brian, a supportive ally portrayed by John Darrow, and the enigmatic Yola d'Avril. The tension mounts as he gets closer to uncovering the truth, risking everything to clear his name and bring the true murderer to justice.
I have included the original film at the end of the colourised version, should you not like the colourisation or are interested in viewing the original black and white version that I worked from. Skip to 01:02:07 to view the original should you wish to.
I downloaded the film from Wikipedia. I used AI facial enhancement and sharpening, decreased the saturation and colourised it using AVCLabs and RTX4090 with a Ryzen9 CPU and 64GB RAM.
This work is in the public domain because it was published in the United States between 1929 and 1963, and although there may or may not have been a copyright notice, the copyright was not renewed.

No problem at all, this will be the new normal for every film I enhance. Unfortunately, I cannot do the 4K versions any longer but can increase the resolution on the colourised version so it looks a lot sharper. The end result is SD because when I put the 2 together into iMovie, it can only produce upto the scale of the original film.

No problem at all. It will be the new format moving forwards, both colour and black and white versions of every film in one upload :)

Der Film ist 90 Jahre alt. Dafür ist er gut erhalten.

Das Original ist zusammen mit meiner erweiterten Version enthalten, die viele Stunden Arbeit gekostet hat.

Good old Monogram Pictures, love these old movies, black and white my preference but if these old gems can be watched by a larger audience then I don't think colorization does that much harm. As long as the master b and w prints are preserved and not shelved in lieu of the color prints purists can enjoy in perpetuity.

I include the black and white original version totally untouched, so basically preserving the original, as long as my channel is live, they will always be here. I would like to re-do the entire collection as I started with just the colourised versions when I would love to do them all with both versions on the one upload.
