Been to Maui, Oahu, and Kauai so far. My heart is in Maui. Kauai is beautiful. Oahu is awesome outside the Honolulu city limits. Wakiki is cool but it's like Miami. When I go to Hawaii, I don't want to be surrounded by a million people.

Was choosing between Kauai and Maui for our vacation this summer. I love both but prefer Kauai overall. Chose Maui though because......they need our support!

Thank you for this! We've only ever been to Maui so far, but have talked about maybe Kauai next. Your video will definitely help us decide. Thank you again.

Hey Jim. I loved your Hawaii videos. I’m a 38 year old single male traveller. Which two islands would you recommend for the best of everything? I’m trying to avoid Honolulu, as I hate large crowds.

I was older than you the first time I went to Hawaii. That trip was a few days in Honolulu and a couple of days on the big island. Oahu has a ton of things to offer, including Pearl Harbor and the North Shore, but if you want to avoid Honolulu altogether, I think I’d go to Kauai, and then the big island. Maui is great, but Kauai offers so much variety, and the big island has volcanoes, the observatories and the green beach. Kawai is small and easy to get around. The big island is not. If I were choosing just one, it would be Kauai. You can see so much so quickly there. You won’t go wrong anywhere you go, so don’t worry about making mistakes. You will eventually get to Oahu and Maui. You’re gonna have a great time. Ask me anything along the way. Jim
